Stylishly furnished VILLA MIGUEL is a well equipped Scandinavian inspired villa laid out on one level for a relaxing family holiday, summer or winter, tucked away in a quiet corner of Cerros del Aguila with breathtaking mountain/sea views. The private pool is gated and you have the option of year round pool heating for an additional fee. Ideal for families with young children, the pool has a shallow end, catches the sun all day and is surrounded by extensive secluded sun terracing (you may sunbathe unseen) overlooking the sea and rural Campo. The entrance hall leads to an open plan breakfast kitchen, 2 bedrooms, house bathroom and spacious living room. The living room (WIFI, Freeview UK and flat screen TV) leads to the pool and terraces via a sun room with patio doors and then to master bedroom and en suite. The bedrooms have air conditioning/heating and the living room has a wood burner. Supermarket, bars and restaurant on the urbanization. A car is recommended with quiet sandy beaches at Sohail Castle 5 mins and La Cala 7 mins, Hypermarket 6 mins and 5 golf courses within 5kms.

Towels Provided - We provide guests with hotel quality 600gsm hand, bath and pool towels - so there is no need to pack your own! We change towels mid stay for bookings of more than 10 nights.

Air Conditioning - All the bedrooms are individually air conditioned and these units also supply ample heat in winter.
Linens Provided - We provide matched sets of pure cotton bed linen with a change of bed linen mid-stay for bookings of more than 10 nights.
Washing Machine - The house bathroom houses the automatic washing.
Parking - You can park just off street immediately outside the villa.
Garage - The villa can provide locked garaging for one car or for storage of equipment - eg personal bicycles.
Internet - The villa offers free WIFI for all guests. There is also excellent mobile phone reception from the surrounding mountain top aerials.
Heating - The villa is fully "winterised" with a wood stove and radiators in the living room, full size heated towel rails in the bathrooms and heat pumps in the bedrooms - we even supply hot water bottles too!
Fitness Room / Equipment - There is an outdoor gymnasium for the free use of guests located by the Urbanisation Club House and also on many of the beaches.
Wood Stove - There is a wood burner in the Living Room and a get you started supply of logs is provided. Additional firewood supplies can be obtained locally.
Living Room - This spacious room has two large sofas and armchair set around a coffee table and a dining table with seating for 6. There is TV, WIFI and iPod/iPhone docking station. A cosy room in winter with both a wood burner and electric radiators.

Microwave - Dual microwave or conventional oven.
Dishwasher - There is an integrated dishwasher in the kitchen.
Freezer - There is a large combined fridge freezer in the kitchen and a second large fridge freezer on the rear terrace for extra drinks and ice.
Stove - Gas hob with a fast "wok ring" suitable for stir fry cooking.
Oven - Electric oven with grill and timer.
Refrigerator - There is a large combined fridge freezer in the kitchen and a second large fridge freezer on the rear terrace for drinks and ice.
Coffee Maker - A cafetiere is supplied with coffee mugs and a porcelain teapot for the avid tea drinker.

All pantry and cleaning essentials are supplied at the start of the season but not as part of your rental contract. We just ask that you please replace any items used up - ready for the next guests.

The villa offers several dining choices for guests - formal dining in the living room - a breakfast bar in the kitchen, shaded dining on the rear terrace or al fresco in the sun overlooking the pool.

Dishes & Utensils - The kitchen is supplied with sufficient kitchenware, crockery, cutlery and glassware for up to 8 guests.

Fully fitted breakfast kitchen with breakfast bar and stools. The kitchen leads to a shaded terrace with table and chairs for al fresco dining, BBQs and breakfasts overlooking a child friendly play area.

Television - There is a flatscreen TV in the Living Room.
Satellite / Cable - The TV is linked via IPTV (Internet Protocol) to UK free to view channels (BBC and ITV) and also a satellite receiver offering a selection of English and other International language channels.
Stereo - There is an iPhone and iPad docking station in the Living Room.
DVD Player
Books - There is an extensive fiction library (mainly but not exclusively in English) in the villa's Sunroom for the use of guests. Please help yourself.

Lawn / Garden - There is a lawned area suitable for children's play separated from the pool by a gate.
Bicycles - There are two recreational mountain bikes available for guests to borrow by prior arrangement. please enquire when booking.
Outdoor Grill - We supply the famous and classic Weber kettle barbecue with a chimney starter for rapid firing. The barbecue is suitable for both grilling and roasting - the choice is yours.
Porch / Veranda - A door from the kitchen leads to a covered veranda suitable for cool al fresco dining in the heat of summer.
Deck / Patio - The villa is surrounded by extensive terracing so that you can choose a private spot in sun or shade all year round and throughout the day.
Ski & Snowboard - The Sierra Nevada ski resort is about two and a half hours away - a day trip for the really determined skier but more realistically you need to stay away overnight.
Tennis - The urbanisation offers a full sized private tennis court - free for the use of Villa Miguel guests - this can be booked at the Urbanisation Club House.
Golf - There are 5 golf resorts (9 courses) within 5 kms radius and the villa has four free sets of golf clubs (three full and one half set) with bags and golf trolleys for use by guests - please just ask for more details when booking. The nearest courses are:

Cerrado del Aguila - 9 holes with excellent clubhouse and driving range just 1.5kms away.
Mijas Golf International - 2 x 18 hole courses (Los Olivos - for the gifted and Los Lagos for the less so!)
La Cala Golf Resort - 3 x 18 hole courses (Campo America, Campo Asia and Campo Europa) 1 x 6 hole par 3 course suitable for brushing up the short game or for beginners.
El Chapparal Golf Club - one of the most attractive 18 hole courses on the Costa del Sol.
Santana Golf and Country Club - an 18 hole course set in the Sierra de Mijas Natural Park.
There are many more courses to explore both along the coast and inland - it is claimed there are 50 within an hour's drive

Private, Heated Pool - With spectacular mountain and sea views the heated private pool is gated and ideal for families with children. Surrounded by private terracing - you can sunbathe unseen.

Communal Pool - There is a communal pool and a toddlers paddling pool by the Urbanisation Club House. They are open and lifeguarded from mid May to mid October and free for the use of Villa Miguel guests.

Owned by just two families since it was first built on a prime plot on the estate the villa is ideal for mixed family groups - with accommodation on one floor and a gated pool. Skillfully extended it offers flexible and very private sleeping arrangements (see floor plan in images), takes maximum advantage of cross ventilation in the Summer whilst the woodburner and radiators provide ample warmth for Winter evenings.

The villa is well equipped offering great comfort with quality beds, pure cotton bed linen, and soft 'hotel' (600gsm) towels.

There are lawned and paved areas for children to use for play all separated from the pool by gates. We recommend, for safety's sake, that children are supervised at all times and that adults are always extra vigilant when relaxing around the pool with children (especially toddlers and crawlers!) or non-swimmers. For very young children there is a paddling pool by the urbanization's community pool (open mid May to mid October) and the clubhouse.

In an elevated setting the villa occupies a corner position offering a 180+ degree panorama over the rural Campo, fincas, mountains and sea. You can watch the horses graze, eagles hover and swifts dive. There are large sun terraces to 3 sides and around the large oval private pool (10m x 4m). There is a lawned garden area and rear terrace suitable for children's play, both separated by gates to the pool. The swimming pool has shallower and deeper ends making it suitable for children, swimmers and non-swimmers. The pool terrace is secluded - you may sunbathe unseen here - there are sun loungers, cushions, tables and chairs. The sea and mountain views from the villa, terraces and garden are breathtaking. From here you look across to the Sierra de Mijas Natural Park and Mijas village, watch the sun set over the mountains of the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park, view the snow capped Sierra Nevada in winter and the Mediterranean Sea from Fuengirola to Benalmadena.

Towels (including pool towels) and linen are included. The property is cleaned prior to arrival.

Please understand that access is required periodically each week to tend the private pool and gardens - we will try to be discrete!

The Sun Room offers a quiet area off the Living Room and leads to the pool and terraces. Here you can sit and read or take in the view. The Sun Room will also easily house a cot adjacent to Bedroom 1 with the en suite shower room.
