Description
Our Villa is available for 2024\25 Winter Rental only, with a minimum of 2 months rental period.Quinta do Monte is a delightful old country estate, which was completely renovated in 2022/23, and on a 1 hectare plot in the traditional Portuguese village of Pechao, just 5 minutes drive from the town of Olhao, and 17 minutes from Faro airport.

The Quinta is surrounded by nature but very close to the village centre. In the village of Pechao you will find some bars and a well stocked supermarket. These shops and bars are just 3 minutes walk from the Quinta..
The property has 280sqm of living space. The ground floor has one double bedroom, a kitchen/diner and lounge, and a bathroom.
The upper floor has three double bedrooms, a kitchen/diner, a lounge and a bathroom. Each floor has its own private entrance. The two lounges have their own televisions. Wi-fi is available throughout and all rooms have air conditioning. There are also double sofas which can be converted into beds.
There are two outdoor eating areas, each with a BBQ, and a roof terrace to watch the sun go down in the evenings. There is also an EV charging point for electric vehicles.
Price: 2500 euro per month plus electricity cost. All other costs are included, such as gardening, pool maintenance, water etc.

By Chris Dawe on 06-Oct-2023We had a truly great 11 night stay at Quinta do Monte. The whole villa is very well laid out with excellent facilities including very comfy beds,great showers,fully fitted kitchens and super outdoor dining with the barbecue. The area around the pool is exceptional with sun all day and plenty of options for shade when needed. There are plenty of sun loungers and other seating as well. The pool itself is beautiful and got a lot of use. We picked lots of fresh fruit from the huge gardens which was a real treat! Pechau has a well stocked shop only a short walk from the villa,a butchers and a couple of small cafes. A car would be handy ,but in the end we didn’t bother as Olhao is a short Uber ride away and has a great selection of bars and restaurants. There is also a train station there and we used this for trips to Tavira and Fuseta. We visited Porto,Lisbon and Lagos earlier on our trip to Portugal and it was lovely to finish with a very chilled out time at the villa. We have no hesitation in strongly recommending a stay here with everything exceeding our expectations. Heartfelt thanks to James and his team for making this a stay to remember.

A beautiful spot to relax with beautiful house and surroundings
By Kati on 18-Sep-2023We had a super holiday at Villa Dochi and took the whole house for our family group of 5 adults. The pool area and gardens were beautiful with plenty of sun loungers and parasols and the garden had some lovely plants to admire and explore. The pool area is lovely and relaxing and the home cosy with everything you need for a great stay. Even though it’s in a village setting, there’s plenty of grounds with trees and the pool is screened off with planting, which is great for swims - it feels secure and private. We ate outdoors and bbq’d a lot. Inside the beds were very comfortable and everything has recently been renovated. The TVs also have Netflix which is a bonus for movie nights! We mainly used the downstairs kitchen but both kitchens are well appointed and include a dishwasher and washing machine. I used the roof for my daily yoga practice which was lovely to do in the morning sunshine. The location is superb, in Pechao itself it’s only a 2 minute walk to a shop, pharmacy, café, butchers and bar. It’s a 15 minutes drive from Faro / the airport and 10 min from Olhao with its markets and plenty of restaurants and shops and supermarkets. Really enjoyed our boat trips from Olhao :) We had a hire car but also used taxis when needed which were inexpensive. The Roman ruins just up the road are also well worth a visit, great spot! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again a beautiful spot and lovely home. Thank You!

Fabulous!
By Justine on 04-Sep-2023What a fantastic holiday we all had! 7 adults and 2 children aged 2 1/2 and 11 months. We rented out the whole villa with the downstairs apartment being used by the couple with the kids which worked out really well (would have appreciated a highchair for the little one). Upstairs was only really used for sleeping, the beds are extremely comfortable and the air conditioning is great. Nicely furnished with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The beautiful outside space was used daily, the huge moveable parasol was a life saver when the sunshine became too much. The pool is gorgeous and was much appreciated, there were even plenty of inflatables left over from previous occupants that were put to good use. When we didn’t eat out, all meals were cooked on the downstairs BBQ. We found that Lidl had the best selection for BBQ’s such as hummus, potato salad, guacamole. Lidl’s meat was excellent and much cheaper than the Continente. We used Uber quite a few times to go into Olhao, which only costs around 5 Euro each way. James was extremely helpful and accommodating resulting in a stress-free booking. Thank you!
A fantastic private villa
By Alex on 19-Aug-2023Our family were looking for a villa with it's own pool in the Algarve within a short distance of the beach and were very happy to stumble upon this gem of a place. The villa is set within a small village with a few local amenities but is within quite a large area of gated private land so also feels like you have a great amount of your own space. It's within a short drive 10-15 minute drive of many seaside towns and beaches. The villa itself had just been renovated and everything was to an excellent standard. The inside rooms had air conditioning which was a huge plus given how hot it had been. The kids loved playing in the pool and it was tough to drag them away! Would very happily stay here again.

Superb Summer Holiday
By Sophie C on 29-Jul-2023We were an extended family group with a child 10 years old, a 16 year old, and grandparents. We took the whole house. It worked very well. We based our cooking out of the downstairs kitchen, but used the upstairs one for breakfast for our son who wakes up very early. The kitchens were both well appointed and we had all the things we needed to self cater very easily. Most meals we ate outside (there are 2 eating areas in the grounds)I, cooking some on the bbqs. The aircon in each bedroom was fabulous, easy to use, not noisy, and it was extremely helpful for sleeping well at night, as were all the very comfortable beds. All the sheets were 100% cotton and good quality. The showers worked very well. We spent a huge amount of time relaxing around the pool area. There were loungers for those of us who fancied sunbathing (with a couple of parasols should we have needed to come out of the direct sun for a bit). There was also an outside seated area with a large parasol on wheels, which we moved around the outdoor seating area through out the day, so we could use that whole area throughout the day and evening to relax, read, chat and have a few drinks. The pool was lovely, and was a very comfortable temperature. We spent a lot of time in it. The kids were delighted that we had a very stable, good working wifi connection around the whole house! In the evening we watched a couple of movies on Netflix whilst at the house, and both TVs were great and worked very well. The grounds directly around the pool were beautifully planted and created a very calm and relaxing environment. Beyond the pool area there were some fruit trees. The owners invited us to pick the fruit as we liked. The oranges were delicious and sweet, and the figs went down very well too. The house itself is very easy to get to from Faro. It's a great location as it's extremely easy to get most places around the Algarve and beyond. The nearest supermarket was within a 7 mins drive, well stocked and had most things we could want. (There's a cash only small mini supermarket in the immediate village - less than 5 mins walk for essentials should you need them). Olhao which was also within 10 mins drive had a lot to do (boats to the islands with their white beaches and boat trips to do dolphin watching or seahorse snorkelling etc) and some good restaurants. There's Roman ruins that we visited very close by too. The owners responded very promptly to any queries we had. It was a superb holiday and we very much hope to return next year.
A lovely villa

Over the past 20 years we have done a number of villa holidays and Villa Dochi is one of the best we have stayed in in terms of quality, location and overall facilities. The villa provided us with everything we wanted for a nice relaxing stay. It is beautifully furnished with lovely pool and outside areas. Set back from the village it is only a short walk to a couple of bars, mini-mart and butchers. You will probably need a car whilst here as there are no restaurant’s in the village although Gunthers (excellent food) is within walking distance (3/4 mile). The waterfront town of Olhão is only a few miles away and has many restaurants. A big thank you to James, Bruno and Franzalina. We look forward to returning in the not too distant future.
