Villa Esmee - Playa BlancaA popular family friendly holiday rental villa in Costa Papagayo. Escape to this beautifully presented, spacious single-storey villa - your perfect private retreat for a relaxing and memorable holiday for up to 4 Guests.
Set within secure surroundings, the villa features a gated driveway and high walls, offering peace of mind and complete privacy throughout your stay. Step outside and unwind in your own oasis. Enjoy the heated 8m x 4m swimming pool, soak in the Jacuzzi hot tub, or relax on comfortable sun loungers under the sun. The outdoor space is designed for both leisure and entertaining, with a large brick-built charcoal BBQ and dining area - ideal for long, leisurely meals with family and friends. We also have a pool table and dartboard. Inside, the villa is bright, airy, and tastefully furnished to a high standard. The spacious main lounge and dining area provide a welcoming space to relax, with direct access to the garden and pool via patio doors - bringing the outdoors in. The villa offers two well-appointed bedrooms, a main bathroom with walk-in shower, and a private en-suite featuring both a shower and bath. The recent new fully equipped kitchen includes ample storage, quality appliances, and everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay. A New Aldi supermarket is a short 10-minute walk away.
We have all the essential self catering facilities plus the benefit of a quiet residential area close the centre of Playa Blanca. Set within secure surroundings, the villa features a gated driveway and high walls, offering peace of mind and complete privacy throughout your stay. Car hire is not essential at our villa location so take the opportunity to leave the daily routine behind you and simply relax during your holiday.
ABOUT PLAYA BLANCA In Playa Blanca, guests can enjoy beautiful beaches, a lively marina, seafront restaurants, shopping, boat trips, and water sports. The promenade is ideal for walking or cycling, and there are plenty of family-friendly activities nearby.
WHAT ATTRACTS HOLIDAYMAKERS? Visitors are drawn to Playa Blanca for its year-round sunshine, relaxed atmosphere, stunning coastline, and mix of peaceful surroundings with great amenities. It offers a perfect balance of tranquillity and things to do.
BEST LOCAL ATTRACTIONS Top attractions include Papagayo Beaches (45–60-minute walk), known for crystal-clear waters, and Marina Rubicón (25-minute walk), ideal for dining and shopping. Town Centre ocean front & Restaurants (20-minute walk). The large Dorada Beach is also a 20 minute walk away.
WORTH VISITING FURTHER AFIELD Timanfaya National Park (25–30 minutes), famous for its dramatic volcanic landscape. Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes (both around 60 minutes by car), as well as Mirador del Río for breath-taking views. These unique attractions showcase the island’s volcanic beauty and are well worth the journey.
Check-in from 3pm - Check-out on departure day is 10am unless otherwise agreed in advance with the Villa managers.
We provide map directions from the airport to the villa (around 45 minutes) Entry is by Key safe and alarm operation via a simple fob.
20% Deposit required to secure you booking. Balance due 8 weeks before your arrival date.

Die Villa ist innen und außen geräumig und verfügt über einen beheizten Pool, einen Whirlpool und verschiedene Bereiche zum Essen und Entspannen. Sie liegt in einer ruhigen Sackgasse mit guter Anbindung an die Stadt. Terry hält alles gut instand. Wir haben bereits für nächstes Jahr wieder gebucht! Bis bald!

By Paul on 20-Feb-2023Booking and follow up communication excellent and a nice touch for the owner to email during our break to check we were happy. The villa has outstanding outside areas, well thought out, good quality furniture and great view of the mountains. The pool is clean and at perfect temperature and obviously the hot tub is a delightful added luxury. The interior is spacious, clean and well equipped. The alarm system is simple to use. We didn't need the coin operated air-con so can't comment but can say there are a/c units in both bedrooms and the lounge. Kitchen and bathrooms all high quality and even the beds were comfortable! So, I think it's clear we really enjoyed our 17-night stay at Villa Esmee. Same dates 2024 unavailable so we have booked Casa Royal a couple of doors down the street.

By Debbie & Andy on 14-Apr-2025Spent 10 nights at Esmee in April. Villa is a home from home. Lots of ‘extras’ - pool table, dart board, books, playing cards. Great Wi-Fi, big tv, music centre and more. Fully equipped kitchen with lots of utensils, cool bag and ice blocks for beach and beach towels. Living space is great with two nice comfy settees. Beds were so nice and extra quilts provided if needed. Didn’t use aircon so cannot comment on how long €1 lasted. Outdoors seating/dining was amazing along with a heated pool and very warm hot tub. Cannot recommend this villa enough. Managed by Terry who is there at the end of a phone if needed- not that we did. Would return.

By Jenny Weaver on 10-Nov-2024Casa Esmee truly is a home from home. Clean, comfortable, and peaceful. It’s about a 20-minute walk into town, with different routes depending on where you’re headed. We recommend Tipico Espanol for meals and Popeyes Bar for breakfast. The hot tub was a treat after long walks. We’re already looking forward to returning in November.
