Casa Abuelo (translates as 'house of my grandfather' after my late Grandad) is located in the much sought after private development of Los Calamares in the heart of Playa Blanca village, a tranquil residential area just a few minute's walk from restaurants, shops and beaches. The villa offers a spacious and luxurious self catering property with four bedrooms (two of which are suites with their own private facilities), living/dining room and large open-plan modern kitchen with bi-fold doors to the garden.
The villa offers a super king size four-poster bed (6ft x 6ft 6") in the front suite, which retains it's original wooden ceiling and has a spacious dressing area with built-in cupboards, along with a large shower room with twin basins, toilet and large shower area. At the rear of the property a second suite offers a king size bed with wooden sleigh surround, built in wardrobes and en-suite shower room. There are two more bedrooms close to the main family bathroom, both offer twin beds. All four bedrooms are air-conditioned and have patio doors opening out onto the surrounding garden and patio areas and allowing the cooling breeze in during the hottest summer months.
All the beds offer good quality duvets and pillows and cotton linen, we also supply large Egyptian cotton bath sheets and towels (including pool towels. Both the king and super-king mattresses have been imported from the UK to ensure you sleep in the utmost comfort during your stay.
The open plan living/dining area offers a dining table and large comfortable sofa. There is a large flat-screen television which has Internet TV (UK free view channels plus login for Netflix, Disney, Amazon etc) A DVD and music player (CD, radio and Bluetooth) are also supplied for your enjoyment. The whole villa has free infinity wifi for guest use during your stay.
The kitchen offers oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, food blender, coffee maker and large French style fridge freezer. Bi-fold glazed doors to one side mean the kitchen can open out onto the BBQ terrace overlooking the pool.
Externally, the property offers a beautiful and spacious pool complex comprising a free-form pool (measuring approximately 5m x 8m and with a depth range 80cm-1.5m), jacuzzi spa and children's paddling pool (depth approx. 40-60cm). All three pools are linked by marble waterfalls and are solar heater with electrical backup heating (jacuzzi sometimes left unheated during colder winter months to keep main pool temperature as high as possible). A secure gate and low wall prevent young children from easily accessing the pool area and the garden's side gate can be bolted to ensure that children are free to play in the rear garden without any risk of being able to access the pools.
To the front of the property, overlooking the pool and protected from the sun by a hand carved wooden pergola is a dining table and chairs and a BBQ. The garden continues through a side gate and wraps around the villa on three sides (the villa is semi-detached). The rear patio area is once again shaded by wooden pergola, while the side patio offers full sun for those who worship the sun without frazzling! The gardens are scattered with chairs, recliners and sunbeds for you to put whereever you like.
There is off-road parking for one car with ample additional on-road parking. The villa is accessed by a lockable wooden door from the parking area and is surrounded on all sides by a high wall (2m) for complete privacy. Surrounding properties are all single-story and most are homes rahter than rental properties, giving the area a tranquil feel.
