This Lovely self catering duplex Holiday Villa sleeps up to 6 people (plus cot) and has fantastic Sea and Mountain Views. It comes with its own Private Heated Pool, Sun terrace, Gated driveway and Mature gardens to the front.

Just 100 meters to the local Beach and with resort amenities within a 5 minute stroll, it is suitable for children. The South Facing Pool terrace enjoys Day Long Sunshine, and overlooks the Sea. With a choice of two Balconies, you can enjoy fantastic Sea Views towards the Papagayo Beaches, or take in the stunning adjacent Mountain range.

The Villa is furnished to a High Standard and Very well Equipped with everything you’ll need to maximise your enjoyment. Lovingly maintained by the owners, and managed by a lovely English couple who live locally, they will be able to help you with any information or resolve any problems you may have during your stay.

VILLA LOCATION - Casa Del Mar, San Marcial del Rubicon, Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, Canary Islands.

The villa has an Excellent Location in a Quiet and Peaceful residential area, but Overlooking the Sea and Promenade which are just 100 meters away. Minutes from all local amenities with a Large Dino Supermarket & Oversea's shop (Waitrose/Iceland) at the top of the road, you can be self contained if you don’t want to venture far away during your stay. Perfectly Located between the Marina Rubicon and the Papagayo beaches, it’s within Easy Walking Distance of the Marina with its Exclusive selection of Waterfront Bars, Restaurants and Designer Shops, whilst also being conveniently situated for the Playa Dorada and Papagayo beaches. The exclusive Marina Rubicon is a 15 minute stroll along the Picturesque Promenade with Stunning Costal Views. The Beautiful White Sand beaches of Playa Dorada (with its many Water sports), or the Famous Papagayo beaches on the untouched National Park, are about 20 minutes. One to the left of the villa, and the other to the right.

On the doorstep there are plenty of local Bars, Cafe Bistros and Restaurants within a 5 minute walk down at ‘El Pueblo’ Las Coloradas. Pin point our location using Google maps and street view (below).


ACCOMODATION

The Bright and Airy living accommodation spread over two floors comprises of 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms (one en-suite), Lounge diner, Kitchen, Utility room, and 2 Balconies.

Each of the bedrooms has High Quality Soft Finish bedding . Sheets are High Quality Egyptian Cotton.
2 Quality pillows per bed (4 on double).
1 Warm throw for each bed.
All pillows and mattresses have Soft Touch Quilted protectors.
Luxury hand and bath sheet towels are provided for each guest, and made from High Quality Egyptian Cotton.
We do not supply beach towels, so please arrange to bring your own.


Lounge Diner

The comfortable open plan lounge and dining area is the hub of the villa to which the staircase and downstairs rooms connect. A door leads out to the terrace, and large opening windows overlook the heated pool and terrace area. There’s a 55’’ Samsung flat screen TV with IPTV box which includes a selection of UK Freeview + BBC1, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5 programmes. There is also a DVD player and WiFi provided via router at no extra cost. A portable CD/Radio with Bluetooth connectivity is also provided.
The room contains Solid Wood furniture and includes a large Sideboard (containing the Book Library), sturdy Table and 6 Dining Chairs, Chaise Longue sofa with throws, Coffee table, freestanding Lamps, and Cooling fan.


Upstairs Master Bedroom (With en-suite & balcony)

The master bedroom is spacious and bright with a Kingsize Bed (160x200cm), en-suite Bathroom, and Private Balcony with beautiful sea views. It contains large Fitted Wardrobes, Chest of drawers with Mirror over, Bedside cabinets, small Table, and cooling Fan. The wardrobes offer lots of shelves and hanging room with plenty of hangers.


Upstairs Twin Bedroom (With balcony)

The upstairs twin room is light and spacious with double doors opening on to a large balcony with picturesque mountain views.
It contains Two Single Beds, Double Wardrobe with plenty of adult and children’s Hangers, Chest of drawers with Mirror over, Bedside cabinet, small Table, and cooling Fan.


Downstairs Twin Bedroom

This twin room is on the ground floor with adjacent bathroom, and looks out to the front of the villa and garden.
It contains Two Single Beds, Fitted Wardrobe, Chest of drawers with Mirror over, Bedside cabinet, small Table, and cooling Fan. The fitted wardrobe has shelves and clothes rail with plenty of hangers.


En-suit Bathroom

The large en-suite bathroom consists of Bath with Shower over set in marble surround, Vanity Sink with Mirror over, Toilet and Bidet. A small window provides natural light, and an Extractor Fan removes moist air quickly.


Family Bathroom

The second bathroom is also fitted out in marble and has a Large Walk in Shower, Vanity Sink, Toilet and Bidet. Powerful LED down lights substitute natural light as there is not a window, and Extractor Fan removes moist air quickly.


Kitchen

The modern kitchen with large opening windows onto the patio consists of Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge Freezer, Dishwasher, Kettle, Toaster, Coffee Maker, and is well equipped with a very good selection of the Pots, Pans and Utensils you would expect at home.


Utility Room

The open-air utility room has a 7KG Automatic Washing Machine, Clothes Airer, Iron and Ironing board, plus Mop and Bucket, Brooms and Dustpan/brush.


Master Bedroom Balcony

The balcony accessed through large double doors from the master bedroom has great sea views towards the Papagayo beaches, and overlooks the pool terrace. It contains a Table and Two comfortable Rattan Chairs to sit and relax whilst admiring the view with a cool drink.


Upstairs Twin Room Balcony

The large balcony accessed through large double doors from the twin bedroom has lovely views to the mountains, and is at the front of the villa. It contains a Table and Two Chairs and is cool and shaded throughout the day. It gets the last bit of sunshine in the evening and is a fantastic place to watch the setting sun dance over the contours of the mountains.


OUTSIDE

The pool terrace with Private Heated Pool is South Facing and Overlooks the Sea and local Beach - Coloradas Playa. It gets unobstructed sun all day and into the early evening, so is the perfect place to while away the hours sunbathing, cooling off in the pool, and enjoying alfresco dining.

There are 4 Comfortable Sun Loungers, a patio Table with Parasol to seat 6, drinks table and a good sized portable BBQ.

The pool is of good size and Heated during the cooler months Free of charge. This assures a relaxing warm temperature of 28/29 degrees. Underwater lighting shimmers after dark for that midnight dip. (Pool is approximately 5 x 3 meters and slopes gently from 1.2 to 1.5 meters deep.)

The garden to the front of the villa with Gated driveway has a variety of Mature Plants and Cacti. The garden is maintained throughout the year and finished with native black Picon. There is access via Stepping Stones to the rear garden/pool/terrace through a side Gate that can be Locked to prevent small ones wandering.

Although the villa has Private off road Parking, there is always plenty of room to park on the road directly outside the villa. The street is well Lit, Quiet and Safe, so no need to park on the driveway.

FREE Unlimited Fast and Reliable WiFi router with up to 12 Mbps Download. Dedicated connection behind a firewall that is not shared or public.
Fully Automatic Washing Machine with 7Kg load capacity.
Good Quality Hair drier.
Portable Fans are provided, one in each bedroom and one in the lounge.
Steam Iron and Ironing Board.
Professional ALARM system with no codes to remember, and a secure SAFE are provided for your peace of mind.
A portable Oil filled Radiator is supplied at the villa for that occasional cool evening.
Black out Curtains fitted in all rooms to help sleeping and also to keep the rooms cool during the daytime.
There is a selection of some 60 or more Books which form a small Library. Please feel free to leave a book when you have finished it, or take one home if you are part way through.

Infant Facilities
FREE to use High Chair & Cot/Playpen's are provided. Please provide your own bed linen for cots as believe it to be a personal thing due to the sensitive nature of a child's skin and the risk of allergies. The local supermarket has a good selection of baby essentials.


PRICES

The prices shown are in UK pounds per week, based on 2 people sharing. Please add £10 per day for each additional person up to a maximum of 6 (Plus cot). The first child under 2 years of age stays FREE.
We require a deposit of £100 per week to secure your booking. The balance is then to be paid 8 weeks prior to your holiday. Please note that SIMPLY OWNERS offer 100% payment protection, see HOLIDAY MAKER ADVICE section for details.

Cleaning, Towels, and Linen are included in the price. Maid service with villa clean and change of towels and linen is included after each 7 Nights for bookings of Two or more weeks. For stays of part weeks (10/11 days or more) only Linen and Towels will be changed which is included in the price. An optional mid-term full clean can be requested at an extra charge.

The use of the following is included in the rental price: Pool Heating in the cooler months, Unlimited Fast WiFi, Secure SAFE, High Chair, 2 Travel Cots/Playpens.


NOTES

The villa is Fully Prepared for your arrival with all Bed Linen and Tea/Hand/Bath Towels provided.
We Do Not supply beach towels, so please arrange to bring your own, or shop locally from about 5 Euros each.
Maid service after each 7 days includes Cleaning, Fresh Linen and Towels.

Changeover day is flexible. Arrival time is after 4pm and departure time is before 10am. A late check-out or early check-in May be possible, but by Arrangement Only. This is dependent upon existing reservations and their arrival/departure times.

Our villa managers will call on you soon after your arrival to make sure you have settled in and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the villa or general area, restaurants etc.

For your comfort from 1st October to 31st May, the electric pool heater is provided FREE and will give an approximate water temperature of 28/29ºC (With use of pool cover). In the summer months, sunshine and warmer temperatures should maintain the pool at or above this temperature.

Large well stocked Supermarket (Superdino) with deli and in-store bakery at the top of the road (open 8.30am - 10pm 7 days). Also just along the same street is an overseas store with Waitrose and Iceland products.

Taxi rank, Car hire, and Bus stop all just 100m from the villa.
ATM within 5 minutes walk.
Hire car not required.
No smoking inside the villa.
No single sex groups, and no under 25’s, except as part of a family group, or with a known history.

Although not specially designed for Wheel Chair users, the whole ground floor including patio area and pool, living and dining room, kitchen, family bathroom and lower twin bedroom are all on the Same Level and so Easy to Move around. There are also No Steps to negotiate from the pavement. Please ask for more information if you are not sure.


LOCAL DISTANCES

Sea Front and Promenade (Which runs along the whole waterfront of the Playa Blanca resort). 100 meters.
Supermarkets (at the top of the road). 100 meters.

‘El Pueblo’ the local Village down near the sea, hosts a good number of Shops, Bars, Cafe Bistros, and Restaurants. A 5 minute stroll away.

Marina Rubicon with its Exclusive Shops, Bars, Waterfront Restaurants and a twice weekly Craft Market is a 15-20 minute stroll along the seafront promenade.
Dorada beach with its White Sand, Safe Smooth waters, Sun Beds, Water Sports, Beach Bars, and many facilities is just beyond the Marina and about 20 minutes from the villa.

The old town centre of Playa Blanca is a short 10 minutes beyond the Dorada Beach. (2.5km from villa, 5 minutes by car, taxi, or bus)

In the opposite direction along the coastline and accessed from behind El Pueblo and the local hotels, are the Famous White Sand and un-developed Papagayo Beaches on the National Park. The First Beach is about 20 minutes following well trodden tracks across the headland. (Or they can be accessed by car on dust roads paying a toll)


TRAVEL

Arrecife Airport is about 30 minutes by Transfer Bus, Taxi, or Car, and we will send you Detailed Instructions telling you how to get to the villa. The use of a hire car is Not Necessary, but recommended for those wishing to make the most of the local area and to explore the island. There are many Beautiful and Interesting places to see on Lanzarote, and the roads are excellent to drive on.

Transfers cost about €25 each way for up to 4 people. Taxi about €40-50 each way for up to 4 people.
For travel into Playa Blanca centre which is 2.5km away, you can catch the Local Bus (€1-2) or use a Taxi which will cost €3-4.The Taxi rank and Bus stop are 100m from the villa.

The Circular local bus Route runs Daily throughout the Playa Blanca area with pick-up Every 30 minutes. The bus station in Playa Blanca centre (at which the local bus stops) has routes available running regularly to the Main Destinations on the island (Including the airport). All the Bus Services in Lanzarote are Cheap and Run On Time.

Cars are available to hire at a very reasonable cost from as little as 1 day or for the whole of your holiday. We can Recommend Good Reliable companies for Transfers and Car hire if required. Cars can be collected/returned at the airport, and transfers will drop/pickup from the villa.
There are also many organised excursions available that can be booked locally.


AREA & ACTIVITIES

Playa Blanca on the Southern tip of Lanzarote is an Upmarket, Popular yet Tranquil resort and due to its Sheltered position, it enjoys the Warmest and most Settled Weather on the island. The villa is close to everything you will need for a Peaceful, Relaxing holiday in the sun, and so although there are plenty of Wonderful places to Sightsee on the island, you Don’t need to hire a car to enjoy your time at the villa.

Locally there is a wide range of activities including: Boat Trips, Fishing, Sailing, Jet Skis, Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, Banana boat, Pedalos, Parasailing, Water park (small), Quad Bikes, Segway trips, Mountain Biking, Hiking, 10 pin Bowling, Crazy Golf, Playgrounds, Weekly markets, Duty Free shopping, and many organised excursions.

Other activities on the island include: Golf, Water Park (Large), Surfing, Kite Surfing, Cycling, Horse/Camel rides, Animal/Bird parks, Wild West Theme Park, Submarine trips, Go-Carts, Jeep Safaris, Winery tours. The nearest 18 hole Golf Course is in Costa Teguise or Puerto del Carmen (30 minutes Drive).

Timanfaya National Park (volcanic region) is 20km away and ‘Cueva de los Verdes’ and ‘Jameos Del Agua’ (natural volcanic caves) are 50 minutes away by car, all are definitely worth a visit. A Welcome Folder at the villa includes many Details and Leaflets of places to see and things to do.

Amazing

Everything about the villa was amazing, the view from both upstairs balconies ,the beds were really comfortable. It was great having your own pool and plenty of room to relax and sunbath. It was like home from home having all UK channels on the big screen. The supermarket was just at end of road. The sea view just topped it all off just amazing definitely be back in the future and thanks to Chris and Heidi for all there help when in the villa and Debbie for all her help when booking. Everything was made very easy. Thanks again for our wonderful stay in your villa.

Family and birthday holiday

Returned to casa del mar after 3 years our 3rd time back and as always feels home from home was so lovely being back celebrating my 40th birthday and family holiday wouldn't of gone anywhere else, so close to everything, highly recommend Arabella's at the marina absolutely beautiful and amazing place to eat definitely book though, Kris and Heidi made us feel so welcome the day after we arrived any problems they were only a message away, also messaged the day we arrived home to see if we got back safely so thank you to you both your a credit to Debbie's villa, and Debbie you are always so great with communication as always thank you for letting us stay we will be returning again that's for sure xx Sarah and family

Perfect Return

Our second stay in this fabulous villa, just can’t fault it! This time we discovered the nearby shops, bars and restaurants of El Pueblo which we totally missed last time! The weather was fantastic and even some days without the well known breeze. A few improvements (didn’t really need any) made by the amazing owner, Debbie, new sofa, soft furnishings, furniture and huge TV, which are all fantastic. Pool as lovely as ever, some nights we were in it until 10:30pm, it was like getting in to a bath at nearly 30 degrees. If you love a quiet, tranquil spot with easy access to amenities, this is the villa for you, it has absolutely everything you need and I would not hesitate to recommend it. Debbie is helpful leading up to your holiday and then Kris & Heidi are there on hand if you have any requirements whilst there, a really lovely couple. Thanks again Debbie for a wonderful stay!
