Description
This beautiful farmhouse is built in the traditional Spanish sugar cube style with thick stone walls to keep the temperature cool even on the hottest of days on the Island. Most of the ceilings are about 20 foot high so air conditioning is not necessary. In addition all outside windows have inward openings with Louvre shutters to allow free airflow. The stunning interior layout and design is in keeping with the character of the villa yet has all we could think of to be a home from home for our guests during their stay. It works just as well for a party of eight at full capacity, a couple looking for a quiet escape, or any number in between!The property is secluded but not isolated, with our next door neighbours looking after the well being and maintenance of the house.
Interior:
As you enter the Farmhouse from the lovely front terrace you have the main bedroom on your left off the hallway with its beautiful wooden doors onto the terrace and the views of the mountains from your bed! Step down from the bedroom into the en-suite with a shower. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and a cupboard and plenty of drawers.
Through into the large and sunny seating area with sofas and chairs and a gorgeous wood burning stove for the cooler nights (wood supplied). The twin room with two single beds is just off from this room along with a bathroom with shower. There is a safe and a very well-stocked book cupboard in this space too so you can get some summer reading in by the pool.
There is a third bedroom downstairs with a double bed and en-suite with a separate shower and bath.
Stairs go up to the fourth double bedroom (stair gates can be supplied) with a lovely and very large en-suite shower room with views to the mountains.
From this central area you go through a small hallway area up the stairs to the pool - there's a sofa, a storage cupboard for cushions and parasols and a CD player (stocked with lots of CDS) and beach towels are ready to grab from the basket!
The television room is just off here too - two sofas, footstool, electric fire and tables for your cup of tea or glass of wine! The smart television means you can stream all your favourite shows. The huge wooden doors open up onto the front terrace if you prefer to listen to the sound of the frogs!
The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven and dishwasher and is fully stocked with pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. We have a juicer, coffee machine, blender and hopefully everything you need to entertain in the adjoining dining room.
Through from the dining room is a hidden gem - the Games Room and Bar with snooker table, docking station, music and television, many guests favourite room in the Farmhouse! There is also a second fridge in here so you don't even need to go back to the kitchen for your drinks!
The utility room is behind the Games Room with a sink, washing machine, laundry basket and pegs, ironing board and iron - and the pool toys are kept in here too.
Exterior:
The Farmhouse overlooks the village of Tao from the west (front) terrace of the farmhouse. Relax having a 'sun downer' or two whilst overlooking the garden and enjoy the breathtaking views as the sun sets.
The driveway has ample space for 4/5 cars with the track leading to the house having very few vehicles travelling past throughout the day. Although at about 1.00pm a goat herd might stroll by across the fields if you happen to be out walking!
The south terrace (poolside), is fully private with two eating areas, one covered for midday sun and the other for sun worshippers. The pool is oval shaped and 7 meters by 4 meters. It is 1 meter deep at the shallow end and slopes to 2 meters at the deep end. Solar heating is more than sufficient in the warmer season and for the winter months the electric heating adds that extra backup, (no extra charge). The BBQ (not gas) is easy to light - so long as you make sure you have the charcoal before you start!!
House keeping service:
Bed linen, bathroom and beach towels are included and are changed weekly. Cleaning is carried out weekly.
Coast/Beach:
15minutes drive to Famara beach which is famous for surfing and handgliding. This beautiful sandy beach is the one that you will see on your drive along the track to the Farmhouse and it is truly breathtaking.
Head to nearby Teguise for the vibrant Sunday market and beautiful boutique restaurants and bars.
Drive north, the same drive time to La Santa village with international sports complex, and a number of restaurants.
Drive south same drive time to Playa Honda, - hyper markets /shopping centre and restaurants.
The capital Arrecife is less than 15 minutes drive, with a beautiful harbour.
Puerto Del Carmen (biggest tourist resort) is also less than 15 minutes drive and enjoys a lively night life.
The island is popular with cyclists and the location of the Farmhouse is perfect for cyclists and walkers - you are certainly more likely to see cyclists than cars passing by when you're sitting on the terrace!
Travel:
Arrecife International airport is ls less than 15 minutes drive. Car hire (pick up and drop off) at the airport can be arranged through the owner.
Alternatively all major car hire companies operate on the island,

We stayed in Tim's Villa for the week, upon arrival we found the Villa to be very spacious, clean and very well equipped to suit our needs - everything was catered for! In no time we were comfortably at ease with the Villa - the rooms were of a very high standard and very spacious! The games room was a huge hit for us all with a bar in the corner allowing us to all be in this room during the evenings. The pool was excellent, the size and temperature was very inviting and the wall surrounding it made it very private with plenty of seated areas and even a built in BBQ for cooking! Outside the front of the property was a lovely area to sit quietly and read, drink and eat taking in the views. The neighbours were very quiet and discretely in the background for help if needed. Natark was very good in keeping in contact should we have any queries/problems, not that there was any. Overall this property offers everything you need at a very high standard - With the property being slightly remote it would be recommended to hire a car to travel/sightsee - beaches were not far away and only a short drive away. This property offers everything you need and would thoroughly reccomend this property to anyone - couples, families and friends! With hosts like Tim, what more would you want for peace of mind! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Casa hermosa en un lugar hermoso
By Nicola Martinez on 02-May-2025Acabamos de regresar de esa villa maravillosa, era relajante, decorado con mucho amor y pensando en lo que nosotros como clientes necesitamos. Habia muchas restaurantes para disfrutar pero nos encanto regresar a la villa y disfrutar nuestro tiempo jugando al billar y disfrutando del bar. Las vistas eran increibles como una obra de arte. La limpieza tambien era perfecto no podemos quejar de nada ya que no habia nada sucio. Nos gustaria venir de nuevo pero esta vez quedarnos para más tiempo.

A wonderful break from the busy UK

The Farmhouse was up to its usual exceptional standard and we had a really good holiday. The weather in December and January can be mixed but on the few cooler nights we lit the wood burner stove in the central room which warmed up all the house. We will be returning again shortly and will be interested to see the work that has recently carried out to the upstairs bedroom to provide ensuite facilities. The TV has also been upgraded I believe. Altogether the best rental we have used in Lanzarote and we have used many over the last 25 years. and probably the best equipped as well.
Absolutely great

We were not disappointed: everything was as described without exaggeration. From the fully-equipped kitchen to the pristine pool and the spacious, luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms, we could see that no effort or expense had been spared to ensure the client's comfort. A five star experience at a reasonable price is not the norm; this stay defied the norm.

Beautiful Villa
By Julie Raftery on 22-Nov-2024We had a wonderful 2 weeks at the farmhouse in november/december last year and we absolutely loved it. The house and outside area are beautiful and we loved getting up each morning and running on the local trails. Everywhere was so peaceful! Nartek did a great job of cleaning the pool whenever we were out and we barely knew anyone was next door at all. The location is great for getting out and about and exploring the island, with nothing being too far away. It was absolutely perfect! The house was very well equipped, a real home from home, and all communication before our stay was excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for high quality, peaceful place to stay.
