Our lovely detached villa has been in the family for over 15 years. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac behind the impressive Talaiot de Trebeluger and surrounded by farmland and countryside giving you peace, tranquility and uninterrupted views. Our villa is a 15 minute drive from both the Airport and the Port of Mahon, with its bustling markets, shops, galleries, and quayside restaurants. Even closer are the towns of Sant Lluis, built by the French in 1750 and Es Castell on the harbour.

There are sandy beaches within a short drive at Binibeca, Punta Prima and Alcaufar (our favourite.) Tennis, scuba diving and cricket are all to be found within a few miles as well as the Splash waterpark at Binisafau.

We hold a Spanish Tourist Licence and have been accredited a VHRC (Verified Holiday Rental Certificate) locally, as our accommodation meets a high standard with tasteful furniture and furnishings and is thoughtfully equipped.

The main house is all on one level so is well suited for the elderly or wheel chair users.

The central area of the house comprises a sun-lounge, which looks out on to the pool, with two comfy sofas. This joins on to a separate, salon, where there is a TV for linking to laptops and a DVD player. We provide fast-speed (fibre) wifi and a bluetooth speaker. A new air conditioning system has been fitted in the bedrooms and study in 2023.

The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a separate bath and shower and looks out on to an east facing garden. The two additional bedrooms are twin rooms with a shared bathroom. All of the bedrooms have efficient, remote controlled ceiling fans.

Upstairs there is a private study area with en suite bathroom and a balcony/sun terrace which overlooks the pool and gardens and is the perfect spot for a sundowner with a gorgeous view!

The open plan kitchen is spacious and well equipped with a family eating area.

Outside, at the front of the villa, is a large lawn area with fruit trees. We are keen gardeners and the garden is irrigated and like the pool is maintained weekly. The garden is also home to our resident tortoises and there is a ping-pong table, available on request.

The quiet pool and sunbathing area, at the back of the house, is south facing and can be gated off for young children.

You can dine either in the kitchen or at one of the outside tables. The shaded BBQ area seats 8 comfortably, with a built-in coal BBQ.

Menorca is a truly beautiful island with something to discover at any time of year. Much of the island is now protected as a UNESCO "Reserve de Biosfera" which makes it a favourite for walkers, birdwatchers and wild flower enthusiasts, particularly in Spring. Archaeologists are catered for too, with numerous sites to visit. Our previous guests have enjoyed walking or cycling the Cami de Cavalls, exploring the hundreds of beaches and coves, sailing, scuba diving, golf, snorkelling and windsurfing.

We highly recommend taking the boat trip to Isla del Rey from Mahon harbour to visit the Hauser and Wirth Gallery, which opened in Summer 2021 with its gallery, sculptures, garden and bar/restaurant. And don't miss a visit to the very local wine estate and restaurant at Binifadet.

We encourage you to shop local. St Lluis has a wonderful butchers, fish shop, chicken shop, grocery store, bakeries and small supermarkets.

At the house we provide a book which helps you plan and book these activities and it details the best shops, restaurants and beaches on the island. We can recommend good local car or bicycle hire companies.

A wonderful stay!

We've stayed here three times now - just the perfect place for a relaxing Menorcan holiday. Very comfortable house, equipped with everything you might need and the pool is fantastic, with the surrounding terrace being a fabulous sun trap too! Great location for local shops, well-stocked supermarket, local restaurants and wonderful coves for swimming, snorkelling and walks.

Amazing villa for a very relaxing stay

The location of this villa was the perfect combination of convenience and tranquility. The garden was beautifully maintained with a large shaded BBQ area and a great pool with plenty of space to relax. We had a few rainy days so spent some time inside - the living space felt so homely - beautifully decorated and an amazingly well equipped kitchen. The villa would suit young and old family members! We loved exploring the Cami de Cavalls just a stones throw away with many walks to Alcaufar - our favourite beach by far! An excellent holiday - thank you Blaise for all your help and clear guidance, we will be coming back!

A Beautiful Home from Home Villa

We have been staying at Casa Popa for 10yrs, it is like coming home. The villa is in a lovely quiet spot, one hears very little noise, a car is essential , but you are very close to shops and restaurants, the beach is a 10 minute drive, that’s if you want to leave the villa. The villa is spacious, three lovely bedrooms and an extremely well equipped kitchen with absolutely everything you require, I even baked a cake one year, and two lounge areas with plenty seating. Two lovely bathrooms with hot water that does not run out essential if there are a few of your. The pool is a good size with Roman steps handy when there are little ones and gated for extra safety. The gardens are beautiful, the flowers are exquisite, plenty of shaded areas and a good sized lawn for children to have a run around.There are lemon, pear and fig trees and a large seated barbecue area. Added bonus you might see the tortoises who reside in the garden. The villa is secure with a large locked gate leading to the parking area so one feels extremely safe. One of our favourite times is sitting on the roof terrace admiring the view watching the sunset with a glass of bubbly. The host of the villa is so lovely and approachable and has a brilliant Management Team available at anytime. We will keep returning to Casa Popa every year and would recommend it to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Menorca .
