La Finca is a spacious, secluded restored farmhouse with its own private pool and gardens which can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. Ideal for families or groups of friends, the beautifully renovated property provides the ideal peaceful, private retreat combining tranquillity and modern living with rustic charm. If outdoor living is what you desire, it doesn't get much better than this, with well maintained gardens, spectacular uninterrupted views over the volcanic Timanfaya National Park and natural coastline and incredible sunsets to enjoy.
With only one remote neighbour who is away the vast majority of the year, it offers a completely private and quiet oasis. The very large garden offers a deep blue pool surrounded by sunny terraces with daybed, hammock and dining area. While offering a unique location and unrivalled views, La Finca remains conveniently situated being just outside the charming village of Yaiza with its sprinkling of shops, restaurants and bars, and only 15 minutes to the prestigious resorts of Playa Blanca & Puerto Calero.
La Finca has been furnished to a very high standard with teak and leather furniture. There is ample communal space for 8 people. The lounge seats 8 comfortably and leads onto a courtyard and views out across to the lava fields, Timanfaya national park and the sea. On the other side it leads out through French doors to the pool and patios. In the dining area the large teak table offers seating for 10 very comfortably. There is also a log fire and a snug for a cosy evening
The master bedroom features a four teak poster king size bed with en-suite bathroom and dressing room. The bathroom has twin basins, a double shower as well as a bath. There are 2 further shower rooms, meaning there are plenty of bathrooms for the number of guests. In addition, the layout of the bedrooms makes it very well suited for large parties as the bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged at either end of the villa. It allows guests to withdraw to their private space, should they wish to.
Should you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is very well fitted out and includes a large gas range cooker as well as the usual equipment required. Should outdoor cooking be more your thing, there is a built in BBQ on the rear patio.
To the rear of the villa can be found the pool, patios and garden area. 100% private, it is a wonderful area to sun bathe, swim and stroll The pool entrance area has a step leading into a wide shallow area (1.4x1.4m) with a hand hold for easier access. This area is a wonderful spot for the young child to play in as they can stand and sit easily in it. There is a very low wall dividing most of it from the rest of the pool. Needless to say, all children should be supervised at all times in water of any kind, Off this there are wide steps that lead down into the main area of the pool. There is a light in the pool for the evenings.
Around the pool area there are a number of patios laid out with sun loungers, daybed and dining area. The daybed offers some welcomed shade in the heat of the day. A built in BBQ is located right next to the teak dining table.
The garden is laid out in beds with paths in between. There is a petanque, or boules, court at the top of the garden with wonderful views across the villa, lava fields, Timanfaya national park and the sea.
La Finca provides a wonderful base for those wishing to explore the island. There many beaches within a 15 minute drive - Playa Blanca town has 3 clean child safe beaches, and Costa Papagayo has a number of unspoiled beaches for those who wish to explore. As regards restaurants, there are many to be found within 15 minutes of the villa - from those in Playa Blanca to the beautiful villages of El Golfo and Playa Quemada where the restaurants perch right on the sea's edge, and not forgetting the marinas in Playa Blanca and Puerto Calero.
The vineyards and bodegas of La Geria are just around the corner and a drive through the region offers vistas not seen many places. A visit to Timanfaya and a tour around the volcanos is recommended - the children will love the show they put on at Timanfaya itself. Also for children, there is a water park in Playa Blanca, camel and horse rides, Ranco Texas, to name but a few options. All, again 15 to 20 minutes away.
And all this together with the bonus of reducing your carbon footprint - the house has a fully integrated and modern system well served by solar and wind to power the house. There is a back up generator, should it be required. It is a modern quiet installation situated away from the house and not visible to guests.
A few items of business - The prices shown on this site are for up to 4 people for a week. We charge £112 per additional person per week. There is no charge for babies or toddlers in cots and we offer cot and high chair hire. We require a 20% non-refundable deposit to confirm a booking, if the booking is made more the 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. The balance is due 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Should the booking be within 8 weeks of the start of the holiday, then payment in full is required.
The house rules - We expect guests to leave the property in an clean and tidy state with the dishes washed and any rubbish cleared. No parties or events allowed without prior written consent. In accordance with Spanish law, guests must provide a copy of the photo page of the passport of all members of the party, irrespective of age.
