Description
Chalet Marialys is a luxury renovated chalet in the peaceful alpine village of Essert Romand.Just a 5 minute drive from the centre of Morzine, you are close enough to the hustle and bustle of this stunning alpine town but far enough away, that you can relax and unwind in luxury and comfort surrounded by the most fantastic scenery.
To make your stay as easy as possible, we offer a FREE shuttle service to the slopes to all our guests from 8:30am - 10:30am and 4pm - 6:30pm.
As you enter the chalet, you will find the Boot Room area on your right. This spacious room has a WC, Boot warmers, laundry facilities and a handcrafted banquette seating area. As a special feature, we have put a TV on the wall together with games console & games so that either you or the children can enjoy the separate space from the rest of the bustle of the chalet if you wish.
As you walk into the main area of the chalet, the kitchen is directly on your right hand side. We’ve ensured that there is plenty of preparation space along with a great amount of storage for all your needs. The central island faces into the dining area ensuring that whoever is cooking remains part of the rest of the group. At the end of the kitchen, the impressive bi-fold doors lead out onto an oversized wrap-around balcony to enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down over the mountains.
The dining area runs between the kitchen and living room with fantastic views overlooking the Essert Romand area and the Pointe de Ressachaux mountain. The dining room table can comfortably seat 10 people with blue leather bucket chairs and sympathetic lighting overhead.
The lounge area is at the far end of the chalet and is the perfect place to relax. The corner sofa is nestled in the corner, surrounded by wood panels, with the TV situated on the wall. As you glance across to the right, the “pièce de résistance” is the picture window that frames the mountains so perfectly. The two perfectly positioned armchairs, sit in front of the window making it the perfect place for a cup of tea or glass of wine to take in the breathtaking views that Essert Romand has to offer.
We have 4 stylish and spacious ensuite bedrooms across 2 floors. All 4 bedrooms can accommodate 2 people in either a Super King or Twin configurations. Bedroom 4 has an additional 2 x Single Cabin beds to accommodate 4 people.

The chalet itself is stunning, with ample space in both the bedrooms and the living areas. The views are gorgeous, and the addition of the outdoor hot tub and sauna made relaxing after a day on the slopes even more special. Paul and Jennie are incredible hosts and truly elevate the whole experience. Their kindness as hosts, friendliness as people we got to know over the week, and overall hospitality are unmatched in my experience. No matter the time of year you decide to visit, you absolutely won’t regret it.

Jennie and Paul were incredible hosts who went above and beyond in every way they could. Breakfast was fantastic, especially Paul’s eggs! We had one evening where Paul cooked dinner and instantly knew we should have had more! The food was incredible! From recommendations on skiing routes, places to eat and bars to go to, they made our stay so easy and enjoyable. The chalet is absolutely beautiful. All the bedrooms are a great size and have en-suite bathrooms. The sauna and hot tub were perfect after a long day on the slopes and the open plan entertaining area was great for the evenings. The picture window makes a morning coffee even more enjoyable with an amazing view of the mountains. We’ve already started discussing our trip back. This place will 100% become a regular visit for all of us again. Thanks so much for having us, Paul and Jennie!

They went out of their way at every opportunity to make our trip special, the catering was top class, couldn’t recommend it more, a must add to your stay and the transfers made our trip so seamless and simple. The Chalet itself is perfect, rooms are immaculate, beds super comfortable, the spa and sauna were in use every evening and made for stunning post ski relaxation! Couldn’t recommend Chalet Marialys more!

Everything was thought of, from the amazing breakfast and home cooked dinners to the freshly baked brownies when we got home from a long day of skiing. The chalet is gorgeous, cosy and very clean. The perfect place to stay for a holiday in the mountains. Highly recommend!!

The chalet is conveniently located, with a seamless blend of luxury and highly functional facilities - it is the ideal base for a good sized group. Hosts Paul and Jennie are such lovely people and couldn’t have been more thoughtful and welcoming - they really went above and beyond to make the trip special for us. I’d recommend a visit to Chalet Marialys to anyone. I’m looking forward to returning ASAP
