Welcome to Nature Ski Lodge Sterwen – a stunning eco-friendly 4-star chalet sleeping up to 16 guests in absolute peace!Nestled in the authentic hamlet of Landry (just 6 km from ski resorts), far from the crowds and mass tourism, this is your perfect base camp for exploring the Paradiski domain (Les Arcs + La Plagne – 425 km of pistes) and even the Espace San Bernardo (154 km of cross-border pistes to Italy, just 20 minutes' drive). It can be catered with our UK partner Snowcooks.
This charmingly renovated 300 m² 18th-century farm (modernized with bio-climatic features) offers generous spaces, south-facing bay windows, cosy mass stoves for relaxing evenings, and a private sauna in the garden to unwind after a day on the slopes.
Ultra-convenient ski access (no stress!):
• Free skier shuttle right outside the door → funicular → Arc 1600 in just 7 minutes uphill!
• Less than 10 minutes by car 6Km to resort Montchavin (La Plagne) or telecabine Peisey-Vallandry gondola (Les Arcs).

• 20 minutes by car 12 Km to La Rosière chairlift to discover the Espace San Bernardo (154 km of Franco-Italian pistes) – authentic Italian cuisine and warm hospitality from the Aosta Valley!
Perfect for flexible weekends and short stays (outside Christmas/New Year and February school holidays) Sunday-to-Sunday weeks available to skip Saturday traffic and enjoy quieter pistes!

• Free shuttle from Landry to Peisey-Vallandry Nordic centre (dog sledding, reindeer/horse sleighs, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing).
• Marked snowshoe trails and winter walks around the chalet ; cycling path 100 m away. Cross-country skiing in Montchavin-Les Coches or in the valley (snow permitting)
• Luge run in La Plagne; pools and spa in Bourg-Saint-Maurice (6 km).

This peaceful valley chalet is a perfect base camp for large families, groups of friends or seminars seeking space, tranquility and wellness (private sauna). Ideal for flexible short stays/weekends, with easy access to Paradiski via free shuttle. Not ski-in/ski-out but very convenient (7 min 6 Km drive funicular from doorstep). Not suitable for party groups, students or bachelor parties (quiet residential area). Great for multi-generational trips or non-skiers (plenty of valley activities + Italy day trip option). Maximum 16 guests – no extra visitors allowed.
Additional information
Our private wood-fired sauna in the garden can be heated on request (authentic experience, towels provided). The mass stoves in both living rooms offer cosy heat and beautiful flame views. High-speed fibre WiFi is available throughout. Covered parking for 2 cars + plenty of additional space. Fully non-smoking chalet.
Ski storage available on-site, with option to leave skis/boots at the funicular ski shop. Bed linen and towels can be rented via our partner. Underfloor heating + eco pellet boiler for warm, environmentally friendly comfort. Fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, Senseo coffee machine, raclette/fondue sets). High-chairs and travel cots available.

Nature Ski Lodge Sterwen
By Matthieu Klipfel on 01-Mar-20265/5 il y a 5 mois sur Google Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille dans ce grand chalet à l'ambiance cosy et rustique comme on aime. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec chacune sa salle de bain. Seuls petits bémols : la cuisine, un peu petite pour 16 à mon gout; et la desserte des ''skibus'' très limitée (du coup on a pris les voitures jusqu'au funiculaire à 10' ou jusqu'au Coches également à 10'). Mais il a fait l’unanimité dans notre groupe !

By Jean Junod on 10-Apr-2026Nous avons passé 4 jours au chalet Sterwen, en trois jours nous avons pu skier aux Arcs/ la Plagne et même une journée à la Rosière où nous avons pu descendre la journée en Italie déjeuner dans les restaurants du val d’Aoste, Beaucoup de possibilités en quelques minutes de voiture. Après ski au coin du feu dans un cadre champêtre et lait frais livré à la porte par le voisin agriculteur, Nous avons déjà réservé pour l’année prochaine !

Nous étions un groupe d'amis et nous étions tous à l'aise, tant dans les chambres que dans le grand salon. Dans la cuisine bien équipée, nous nous sommes livrés à des dîners joyeux. très proche du bus pour l'extraordinaire domaine skiable des Arcs. J'adorerais revenir ici!
