Description
Our secluded Gite La Pradelle sits at the foot of Château de Biron, close to the Bastide of Monpazier. Set in a peaceful tranquil setting, within walking distance of this stunning 12th Century Château and the village of Biron, with its restaurant and épicerie.The single story Gite boasts a private pool for sole use, with a large terrace and a barbecue area for guests to relax in the evenings, watching the sun set. It is set within a large fully fenced garden area.
The space;
The Gite has a well equipped kitchen for preparing meals with everything you should need for your stay, including dishwasher and a clothes washer. A large outdoor terrace for dining by the pool and for those cooler evenings a cosy living area with log burning stove. Two bedrooms have French doors and easy access the outside terraces and pool. There are two double bedrooms (one ensuite) and a separate bathroom, with an additional twin bedroom (additional charge for more than 4 guests). A 10 x 5 chlorine pool with paved surround and a covered BBQ terrace completes the space.

The property is accessed via a quiet rural no-through road with a private drive and parking. The single story stone property allows easy access to the pool, terrace and garden area.
In addition, there is and electric car charging point in the village.

Two Weeks of total relaxation
By Alan Worthing on 13-Jun-2026We arrived at the property and instantly felt at home, the photo's on the site do not do the properties grounds and space true justice. We were met by the lovely Lisa, who was an absolute superstar during our stay and could not do enough to ensure we got the best out of the Gite and the surrounding area. The Gite is well equipped apart from no Aircon, which would have been a blessing with the temperatures reaching 42 degress during our stay. Two weeks was not nearly enough time to spend at the Gite and if the Aircon situation was addressed we would rebook without question. The true difference between this Gite and others we have stayed at was the host - Lisa is incredible!!

Perfection
By Fiona Morton on 04-Jun-2026La Pradelle exceeded our expectations in every way. The home and garden were the perfect place for us to relax and return to after day trips exploring the region. The setting is wonderfully peaceful, with hummingbird moths perusing the lavender and beautiful views in all directions. For any birdwatchers, the birdlife is excellent too! Including nightingale, black redstart, turtle dove, melodious warbler, green woodpecker, black kite, golden oriole and honey buzzard. The kitchen is well-equipped and our host even treated us to some essentials on arrival (milk, biscuits and a bottle of lovely local red wine). The beds are comfortable and clean, the whole home is spotless and a lovely space to enjoy. The outdoor spaces are perfect for enjoying mealtimes, with the BBQ area being ideal for outdoor cooking. If you are looking for a peaceful, clean, private bolt-hole in a charming rustic setting with exceptional birdlife and a tranquil, elegant vibe, look no further than La Pradelle. Lisa, we can't thank you enough for being such a wonderful host and we hope to return again in the future!

Stunning setting offering a very comfortable & relaxing stay
By Graham on 30-Aug-2025Had a great week in Biron. The house is perfectly situated at the very edge of the village with soaring views over the countryside but equally easy for local amenities. We loved the outdoor living spaces in particular, and the house was very well equipped for all our needs including the kitchen. Very secure for a dog too. Location is excellent for the many bastide towns - some great restaurants nearby in Monpazier, Issigeac and Monflanquin. If you are tall like us then using the dining table is not great as we couldn’t get our legs underneath it! We only ate indoors once so it wasn’t really a problem. Lisa is a great house manager and very responsive. All in all a high recommendation.
A perfect holiday

It's in a perfect location situated at the foot of the chateau of Biron and close to the beautiful bastide villages. The gite is comfortable with everything you need to have a relaxing holiday. Outside there is plenty of space and a lovely clean pool. Thank you Lisa and Mike - looking forward to next year!

Gorgeous Gite

We had a wonderfully comfortable and relaxed family holiday here and enjoyed every minute of our time staying here. The gite was spotlessly clean, ideally equipped with everything we wanted or needed. The hosts were absolutely fantastic: helping us when we had car troubles and going above and beyond to ensure our holiday wasn’t ruined. Sadly (for our own selfish reasons) we cannot recommend this gite and the hosts highly enough.
