Overview
Description
Noyer is converted from the original farmhouse and retains all the charm of the original building with oak beams. Generous living space downstairs is accessed from the raised outdoor dining terrace and includes a separate kitchen, dining and living room with views over the pond to the fields beyond. A double bedroom can be configured as a super-king double (180x200) or twins (90x200). There is a downstairs toilet and a bathroom with shower and double sinks up a short flight of stairs. Upstairs there are two further bedrooms, one can be configured as super king size doubles (180x200) or twins (90x200) and the other is a single (accessed directly off the upstairs double bedroom).Noyer sits within the courtyard of an old Périgord style farm now called Au Coin Des Arbres. We are located in the hamlet of Ballande 500m along a no-through road with very little passing traffic. A network of footpaths and tracks pass directly by Au Coin Des Arbres and the village and chateau of Biron is a 30 minute walk through the woods.
Au Coin Des Arbres has a large outdoor pool (13mx7m) with sunbathing terrace, a large field with games including volleyball, badminton and disc-golf. We are surrounded by nature with plenty of opportunity to watch wildlife.
Three other rental gites are available at Au Coin Des Arbres and can be found on Simply Owners or directly on our own website.
Your hosts, Nick and Rachel, are English speaking and live on site so we are available to assist with sightseeing recommendations and to help with making reservations..

Felt very welcome
By Julia Jackson on 22-Aug-2026Thank you both to Nick and Rachel for making our family feel very welcome here at your wonderful holiday home, Noyer. We visited many wonderful places: - A bustling medieval village of Issigeac on market day - Biron Castle - Bergerac - Sarlat, a wonderful choice of restaurants and beautiful buildings - Monpaziers We could go on and on!! Our family of 4 felt very welcome and thank you for making our holiday memorable. We hope very much to visit again. Best wishes
Thank you
By Claire Fairburn on 15-Aug-2026Thank you Nick and Rachel for a gorgeous stay at Noyer. Our little children have especially loved swimming each day and lots of nature watching by the pond! What a peaceful and relaxing place to be with every detail so carefully considered. I especially loved the bed! Our top tips for the area: - Canoeing in the Dordogne river (our 4 year old was too young so we stayed on the river beach at Vitrac and the others met us there). - Château Biron was so interesting. - Beautiful villages everywhere. Our favorites were Domme and Monpazier. - The night market at Belvès. We could go on and on! Thank you for your suggestions and the many kindnesses you've shown us. We hope very much to come back again. Best wishes,
Brilliant time
By Gareth Russell on 08-Aug-2026We have had an absolutely brilliant time staying in Noyer Vert in Biron this week. Our family of five have loved every minute of it! We particularly enjoyed: • Going round Château Biron – do pay, it's well worth it! • Monpazier – it's beautiful and there is both an excellent bakery (Maison du Chapître) and pizzeria (Chez Minou). And of course: SWIMMING! Even with a frog. Thanks so much for a brilliant week!
Felt at home
By Lisa Heymans on 31-Jul-2026We received a very warm welcome and immediately felt at home again thanks to Nick and Rachel. As we've been here several times before, we were able to take it easy. We enjoyed not only the day trips but also the days when we simply stayed here, savoring the peace, the quiet and the swimming pool. It was absolutely lovely to be here again! We're leaving once again with wonderful memories and are looking forward to our next visit. To Nick and Rachel, all the best for the future, you're doing a brilliant job!
