Amazing Gite - best trip I’ve had in a while!!

 By Rand family on 22-Aug-2026

Thank you so much for such an amazing gite!! The house and property are stunning. We have had the most relaxed fortnights holiday that was well needed. Your hospitality was so welcomed, the pool has been the best place to spend the hottest days ever and we have spent every evening on the terrace having some well overdue family time. We cannot fault the facilities you provide- you’ve definitely considered every need. Paul has especially taken advantage of the fishing - both at the bottom of the field and in the village. We look forward to returning - when you can fit us in!!

Thank you for such h a wonderful stay!

Fabulous Stay

 By Wilson on 02-Aug-2026

We had a fabulous stay at Sarah & Nic's house. We stayed during one of the heatwaves hitting France so it was too hot to do many of the things we had planned but the fabulous pool and its setting, where we spent most of our time, meant that we didn't lose out. The outdoor kitchen was fab with a sink, hob, fridge, dishwasher, kettle etc and is very well equipped and thankfully in the shade so there really is no need to use the kitchen inside. Sarah and Nic were excellent hosts being on hand with help, tips or advice if needed but always respecting your privacy. The generous welcome pack was a lovely surprise - these used to be common place years ago but seem to have fallen away and we really appreciated that. We were there during Bastille week & Sarah left info for us about the local festivities. Sadly most were cancelled due to the heat but it meant we had more time to relax by the pool. The location is a great base with lots of things to do nearby or within a short drive. It was too hot for us to make the most of them but we did enjoy a short trip to Perigueux and had lunch at the beautiful Chateau Hautefort which we would recommend. The local restaurant, shop and bar are also a 10 minute stroll away. We did struggle to sleep at night due to the high temperatures but there were fans in the house. The house also has Sky TV but we never used it as spent all our time between the fabulous pool and outdoor kitchen! Thanks again to Sarah and Nic for a fabulous stay!

Delightful week!

 By Cooksley on 11-Jul-2026

We spent a delightful week at this charming french property. The property was exactly as described on the website and clean and well equipped. Our hosts, Sarah and Nic, were welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable, without being in anyway intrusive. The outdoor kitchen, patio, barbecue and pool were the standout features of the property. The location was very peaceful and scenic and made an ideal base for exploring the Dordogne. The local village was delightful and contained the necessary shops, bar etc, with nearby towns available for all other needs.

Wonderful holiday

What can I say? We have had the most wonderful time here. from the moment we arrived - and saw the beautiful house and garden. The welcome pack was so thoughtful and perfect hosts. We have explored the area and eaten in the fab village restaurant. The velorail was great fun, Sarlat great for a day out and many other places recommended. The garden and pool are a perfect added bonus and much needed when when we had a hot day. We loved eating outside the we could and are sad to be leaving. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay.
