Our holiday home, in our family since 1978, is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Le Speroutal, near charming Urval and Paleyrac in the commune of Le Buisson-de-Cadouin. In the heart of the Dordogne region, the Perigord Noir. The spacious property is a tranquil retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you're a couple, a family, or two families looking for a memorable getaway, Chez Nous is an excellent choice for your holidays in every season of the year. You have acces to super-fast Fibre Optic Internet in case you have to get some work done. Or just for fun.
Plenty of parking space on-site: we have two additional private parking spaces on our property. Additionally, there is space for more cars along the perimeter of our grounds.
A lovely private pool measuring 5 x 10 meters, suitable for children as well. It is accompanied by a large terrace with sun loungers and breathtaking views of the valley. The spacious living room, nearly 50 square meters, features large windows overlooking the terrace and valley.
Relaxation: for ultimate relaxationyou can recline in one of our four LaFuma relax chairs – those comfortable "tilt chairs" that raise your legs effortlessly.
Outdoor dining: in summer, you'll likely want to eat outdoors. Choose between the covered terrace overlooking the valley or the shaded spot under the century-old linden trees by the pool. Both feature a large wooden table with sturdy, comfortable benches with backrests, handcrafted by Philippe, who also renovated our bathroom, shower, utility room, and kitchen. We’re thrilled with his craftsmanship!
Kitchen: the newly renovated kitchen blends modern cabinetry in cheerful yellow with the rustic charm of the farmhouse. It includes an additional dining table for four, a large Périgordian fireplace housing a modern wood stove, and a utility room equipped with a second fridge-freezer for drinks and produce, a Miele washer and dryer, a large convection oven, microwave, and a Philips air fryer for quick snacks, roasted veggies, or bread.
Kitchen inventory: the kitchen is fully equipped with a 6-burner gas stove, a large fridge-freezer, and a wide array of cookware and serving dishes. For your convenience, basic spices like salt, pepper, and herbs are provided. Coffee enthusiasts can choose between a Nespresso, Senseo, or traditional filter coffee machine.
Living room: the expansive living area, approximately 15 meters long, boasts high-beamed ceilings, thick stone walls, and large windows. It is comfortably furnished with, among other things, an Italian designer sofa and a recliner. The dining table in the living room seats eight comfortably, with two high chairs for children that can be easily added. The sturdy, modern chairs have armrests for added comfort. You’ll also find a well-stocked bookshelf with games and books in both Dutch and English.
High-speed fiber internet: the entire house is equipped with free, fast Wi-Fi via fiber optics and google television/casting. Remote work is highly feasible, with a dedicated workspace in the living room featuring ample power outlets. Whether you want to work, though, is another question. I do it occasionally when I feel like it.
Sleeping arrangements: There is one bedroom on the ground floor and three on the first floor. "Chez Nous" features beds suitable for tall guests: two double beds are 2.10 meters long. In total, there are four bedrooms: three spacious ones upstairs and one smaller one on the ground floor with a double box spring (160x200). The largest bedroom has three single box-spring beds (90x200 each), while the other upstairs bedrooms have double box springs measuring 180x210, 160x200, and an Auping double bed (160x210).
Bathroom and shower: The modern bathroom is on the ground floor next to the bedroom. Across the hall is a separate shower room with a washbasin matching the bathroom's style.
Two toilets: There is a separate toilet within the bathroom and a separate senior-height toilet next to the ground-floor double bedroom.
Utility rooms: One utility room includes a sink, oven, microwave, extra fridge, washer, and dryer. Another provides space for hanging coats, oak cabinet with cleaning supplies, a vacuum cleaner and ironing board.
Please note: the property is less suitable for guests with limited mobility.

A super house, A super house, enough room for everyone
By Inge and Mark and dog Quuk on 02-Sep-2026A super house, very practically laid out with plenty of space for many people and enough room for everyone to do their own thing! Lovely pool and lots of fun things to see and do in the area, received tons of tips via the app.
Lovely and atmospheric house and garden in beautiful surroundings, and fully equipped!

Beautiful old house right among the trees of a forest. Saw many birds, insects, butterflies, and deer.
By René on 11-Jul-2026R July 11, 2026 Overall rating: 8 /10 It is a large old house, with 1 bedroom and 2 bathrooms downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs. Spacious fully equipped kitchen. Spacious living room. Seating areas everywhere outside. Large swimming pool with sun and shade spots, sunbeds, and parasols. In the village, 5 km away, there are some shops and a small supermarket. Further away, about 10 km, are more larger shops and supermarkets. It is warm inside the house, but easy to keep cool with the fans. The owners are super friendly and helpful, with an abundance of information. Nature, peace & space: 5 /5 Beautiful old house right among the trees of a forest. Saw many birds, insects, butterflies, and deer. In the surrounding area are the Dordogne and the Vézere, where you can enjoy a swim. There are also caves nearby. You can go hiking and cycling.
We would love to come back again. For us, this is a house where you feel at home
By Harold on 22-Jun-2026Harold June 22, 2026 Overall rating: 9 /10 The house is nice and spacious; there were four of us. The various seating areas in the sun and/or shade and/or with the wind and/or with a view and/or sun loungers are great. Something for everyone at any time of day. All the facilities we needed were present. Due to the weather, we made extensive use of the BBQ and the fans. The pool is fantastic for cooling off (it also stayed below 29 degrees) even though temperatures rose to over 40 degrees. There are shops nearby, so getting fresh bread in the morning is done within 20 minutes. Nice villages, a Lidl, Aldi, a large supermarket, and canoeing are a fifteen-minute drive away. We would love to come back again. For us, this is a house where you feel at home once you know how the house works (keeping it cool, which seating areas are nice, appliances, etc.). The hosts are very involved and gave us an abundance of information. Nature, peace & space: 5/5 Due to the heat, we didn't see very much of the surroundings, but what we did see is certainly worthwhile. The house, the garden, and the private pool provide a lot of peace, and it is a joy to watch the butterflies and bumblebees find their way to the flowers in the garden.
