Excellent gite
By Jackie McIndoe on 13-Jun-2026This gite delivered everything it promised and more. Not only is it fully equipped with everything we needed and lovely and clean but, having been there during the recent heatwave, we were extremely grateful for the fans especially during the night. As well as the interior being finished to a very high spec we were delighted that the outside furniture was also very well maintained. Lovely outside chairs and cushions and both the tables appeared to be newly painted and the sun parasol was also fully functioning (all of these items we have found to be well below par in a number of rentals over the years.) It was lovely to have the picnic table, under the shade of the trees, down by the river where we spent many a peaceful hour just watching the coypus and all the other wildlife. There is a nice restaurant within a 10-15 minute walk, The Viaduct, which does lovely set lunches and a more extensive evening menu. Bessines Sur Gartempe is less than 20 minutes drive and has an excellent boucherie, 2 patisseries, and a good wine shop. A wonderful, relaxing stay.

Fantastic Fortnight
By Damian on 26-Jul-2024We had a fantastic stay at Moulin, the house was very well equipped with everything thought of with some thoughtful touches. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything that you would need. It is located in a quiet, peaceful part of France so is ideal for a complete switch off from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy with opportunities to fish in the river at the bottom of the garden. Outdoor furniture and BBQ were ideal for eating and spending time outside enjoying the brilliant weather we had, possibly too hot on some days! Would certainly recommend it and would look to stay again.

Quiet and comfortable
By Richard on 08-Jun-2024A very well presented and comfortable gite. Shame about the poor weather and sometimes dodgy TV signal but they didn't prevent us having a relaxing stay.

Thank you for your review. It’s unfortunate that you had such unseasonal bad weather, which affects satellite TV reception badly. We hope you enjoyed watching some of the DVD films. We're pleased that you had a comfortable and relaxing stay. Gill

By Paul Dwyer on 27-May-2024The house was easy to find and in stunning order, Everything we needed was available. It was comfortable and relaxing. We did have neighbours but they were very nice and accommodating. We would love to come here again and I would recommend Le Moulin De Boirot to people who just want to get away.
