Description
Our spacious well equipped self catering cottage/gite offers French charm and character with style and comfort. adequate seating both in the gite and the various areas to relax outside, large table in the B BQ area and table with seating for up to 8 within the living area . The pool is private within stone walls, two large covered areas and 8 sunloungers. It is ideally situated for visiting places of historical/cultural interest, it is close to the picturesque towns of villeneuve-sur-lot, Villereal, Monflanquin, Bergerac & Agen which have many restaurants, cafes and bars. The area also offers many night markets during the summer months enabling visitors to enjoy the local culture, music and food. Leisure activities include canoeing/kayaking on the river Lot and river Dordogne, Parc-en-Ciel (climbing ropes, rope swings etc) walking, cycling and the bonus of an 18 hole championship golf course less than 5 minutes from the cottage/gite. We can also supply two full sets of men's clubs and one set of ladies.. So if you are flying in or the car is full you don't have to worry about your golf clubs. Alternatively you can simply enjoy a relaxing holiday soaking up the summer weather which normally starts around May and continues well into October. There is a private pool for the sole use of the gite guests, 10 x 4.5 mtrs (33ft x 15ft). . This is cleaned and maintained daily by us to maintain the safe balance of chemicals and daily use of robot cleaner. It is opened at 10am after cleaning etc and closed at 22.00h (20.00h low season) for securitycatch up with your social media with the free WiFi..(fibre)
Within easy reach of Teyssie, there are a variety of chateaux to visit and places of interest for all the family.
check in is between 4pm and 9pm unless arrangements have been made in adance of a late arrival. Check out is by 10 am.

Relaxing Break in the countryside
By Ted Bird on 05-Sep-2026Hilary & Gary are great hosts, available when needed but not intrusive. Gite and Pool lovely for relaxing holiday. Covered eating out area near the pool with BBQ ideal. Good walking from the gite. Monflanquin and Villereal with plenty of restaurants are picturesque places to visit.

perfect peace
By Andy on 10-Aug-2025Lovely Gite, Gorgeous Pool Area & Welcoming Hosts Stayed here for the first time this summer for 10 days and loved it.Check-in and communication with Gary & Hilary was faultless.And they were incredibly helpful and welcoming when we arrived - offering us lots of tips on restaurants, night markets & places to go.And they provided so much in the gite you wouldn't normally get elsewhere - including pool towels and a really well-equipped kitchen & BBQ area.We absolutely loved the pool area - created in an old barn, it's so lovely and private and when you open the big doors at the shallow end the view across the fields at sunset is fantastic.Wouldn't hesitate to return and would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
