Located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, La Belle Grange is a family home both beautifully and practically designed for the most comfortable of holidays in rural South West France. Surrounded by Ariege farmland, the views from the house are spectacular with the snow-capped mountains providing a stunning backdrop.
There is a tennis court and a swimming pool (with protective fence as well as electric cover) in addition to plenty of well maintained lawn and terraces.
La Belle Grange is 10 minutes drive from Pamiers, a small town that contains everything you will need; supermarkets, market square with regular markets, many boulangeries, patisseries, a post office, various banks etc all within easy access.
The house is 1 hours drive from either Toulouse (British Airways, Easyjet, Ryanair) or Carcasonne (Ryanair) airport.
The Ariege is beautiful in all seasons - not just the summer. There is plenty to do locally.

Testimonial -
“I've stayed at this marvellously hospitable house both in winter - whiskies and board games around the fireplace and brisk walks across unblemished landscapes - and in summer, a happy blur of market shopping trips, long lunches in the garden, and refreshing dunks in the pool. Any time of year, this place is a winner if you want space to cook, read, gather, rest, and explore some of the most unspoiled landscapes and villages in France. Surrounded by nature, and decorated with easy going warmth by charming owners who clearly love to entertain, the house is perfect for bringing together your favourite people in the most glorious surroundings.”

Extremely comfortable stay
By Bertie Thewes on 29-Aug-2026We spent the most glorious two weeks with friends at La Belle Grange in enormous comfort. The house has masses of room inside and out with extensive terracing perfect for al fresco lunches shaded from the sun by huge parasols and delightful dinners beneath an amazing starry sky. With no light pollution we watched shooting stars and comets light up the night sky as we ate delicious food bought in the many local markets. On markets, there are many close to the house making for enjoyable trips out. There are several excellent restaurants not far away but the most marvellous kitchen at home to cook for everyone there. The pool has lovely views over the surrounding countryside and the huge shaded lawns are the perfect spot to read and look up to the majesty of the Pyrenees. This is a very pretty spot set in beautiful grounds of about 3 acres and surrounded by peaceful farmland. If you're lucky, the beautiful song of the Golden Oriel sounds outside your bedroom window in the morning. The gentle chimes of cowbells and the occasional donkey in the afternoon heat lull one to welcome siestas and at dinner you might be treated to the melodious singing of a nightingale or two. There is a lot to do in the local area from canoeing to walking to biking. Or just relaxing in the enormous comfort of the house. We would like to come back with in summer but also in winter to ski in the Pyrenees and return to the warmth of the fire and hot baths. Thank you thank you! We had the most wonderful fortnight and will be back.
Superbly kitted out family holiday home
By Camilla on 27-Jul-2024Set on a hill looking out onto the foothills and then the Pyrenees themselves, this house is one in a million. As stylish as it is functional - the house is clearly loved and lived in by practical people. Wonderfully sociable kitchen, big reception areas for everyone to gather but also huge amount of space outside. Proper French countryside around and about; peaceful, beautiful and the best night's sleep you'll have in a while!
Beautiful Bigorre
