Description
Imagine waking up on the first day of your holiday, opening the shutters to be greeted by a glorious azure sky and a stunning view across the village of Durban Corbieres to the medieval castle beyond.Relax and breathe slowly - your holiday at Villa Noisette has begun!
Perhaps a stroll down to the village store to collect fresh frit and croissants and then a leisurely breakfast on the terrace soaking in the view. A dip in the pool and then a wander through the nearby vineyards, perhaps take in lunch at one of our local restaurants then back to the villa for an afternoon nap before an evening bbq and a few glasses of the local wine.
All this is just the start of your Villa Noisette experience!
Villa Noisette is a gorgeous stone cut villa with terrace, private pool, air conditioning and unbelievable views over the village and medieval castle of Durban Corbieres - the perfect place to explore the wonders of Languedoc in South West France. It can accommodate up to 8 people comfortably in four double bedrooms including a master bedroom with en-suite and two additional family bathrooms. There is also an air conditioned children's playroom with a range of toys and games.
The kitchen is fully equipped and all bedding and towels are provided - you only have to bring yourselves! There are cots, high chairs, and a range of children's bikes and scooters which guests are welcome to use.
There is a built-in charcoal bbq in the garden and the private pool can be heated off season.
On the ground floor there is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining room and lounge with wide sliding doors leading to a terrace with pool and gardens below. .
The villa is tastefully furnished and set in a small award winning community of beautiful villaclose to airports at Perpignan, Carcassonne, Montpellier and Toulouse as well as the TGV to Narbonne. The villa has reversible air conditioning in every bedroom and a wood burner fireplace for winter months. There are abundant walks and cycle trails nearby using the four bicycles provided.
The terrace and view of the castle is to die for. The perfect setting for outdoor dining. and get togethers with families or friends. It is surrounded by metal railings which provides a secure safety barrier from the pool.
The village is a ten minute walk way and has all facilities - mini supermarche, butcher, baker, pharmacy, petrol station and health centre. Our local bar - Chez Prano - serves excellent food and Le P'tit Gourmand provides a real French experience.
Durban Corbieres is the perfect place to explore the wonders of Languedoc and the highlights of this fascinating region are endless.
Wonderful wide sandy beaches are 35 minutes away - perhaps a seafood lunch in one of the the beach cafes? The city of Narbonne with its cathedral and daily artisan food market is a similar distance. The world renowned African Safari Park is a short drive away and of course the ancient walled city of Carcassonne is a little further. The Cathar trail follows amazing hillside castles and some of the most beautiful villages in France are a short drive.
Lagrasse - recognised as one of France’s most beautiful villages with narrow streets and an ancient abbey which is well worth visiting.
Queribus castle - the last Cathar stronghold to resist the Crusaders in 1255 with wonderful views over the countryside.
Fontfroide Abbey - a lovely eleventh century Benedictine Abbey.
The Spanish border is just over an hour away and Colliore is one of the highlights of the area - an historic fishing port with charming winding streets and amazing seafood.

We loved our stay!
By Clare Woolfe on 17-Aug-2026We loved our stay at Villa Noisette. We have stayed in beautiful houses all over France, but Villa Noisette was our favourite and ticks all the boxes! The outside space is perfect – a large, shaded terrace with comfortable seating and eating areas, and stunning views over the countryside, village and château. Great pool with easy access steps and secure garden. Inside everything is immaculately clean, comfortable beds with good quality linen, exceptionally well equipped kitchen, and easy parking in the driveway. It's a short walk into the village, with a small supermarket and several places to eat and taste the local wines. We enjoyed some beautiful walks straight from the house into the surrounding hills and loved swimming in the sea at Leucate and the river at Ribaute. Narbonne, Lagrasse, Carcassonne, and the Cathar Châteaux of Peyrepertuse and Queribus are easy trips out. We had a fantastic stay at Villa Noisette and would recommend to anyone!

By Faye on 10-Aug-2026We absolutely loved staying here! Fantastic villa, lovely for our family of 5. Spacious and clean, everything we needed. The local village is small but has a well stocked supermarket and the local restaurant served great food. Would highly recommend this villa.
Beautiful, peaceful location

We particularly loved the pool! We can highly recommend Carcassone, canyoning in the Galamus Gorge and the beach at La Franqui. We also enjoyed a wine tasting experience just 2 minutes down the road. The owner was very helpful and responsive.
