Alongside the vineyards, just 300 meters from the sea water Lagoon and very close to the famous Canal du Midi !
Walk to the Port for French cuisine, seafood and an abundance of local wines. Visit Noilly Prat for Cocktails, the International Marinas and golf course of nearby Cap d'Agde and discover the many local picturesque French villages and towns including Sete and Pezenas. Marseillan specialises in oysters and sea food and has excellent sports facilities for Sailing, Fishing, Wind /Kitesurfing, Boating, Swimming, Cycling, Riding, Tennis etc.
Take a private boat trip with the owners on the lagoon and Mediterranean sea.

Wonderful villa
By Anne Randall on 20-Jun-2026We had a fabulous holiday in this lovely villa. We were delighted with how large and spacious the property was. It is beautifully furnished and decorated with a very well-equipped kitchen. The villa was spotless throughout. The beds were supremely comfortable. The air-conditioning throughout the villa meant that we were very comfortable when the temperatures outside were high. The television was nice to have and the wifi worked extremely well. We loved having the two patio / seating areas - one at the front of the house and one at the back. It meant that we could always find a shady spot. We enjoyed suing the barbecue on the front patio area. The pool was wonderful - very clean and a good size. The location as great. It was very peaceful. We could easily walk to the harbour in Marseillan. It was only a short drive to the wonderful beaches. The supermarket was only a short drive away too. Derek and Lise were very welcoming and extremely helpful. They gave us lots of information about driving routes from Calais. The welcome bottle of water, the wine and the milk in the fridge were very much appreciated after a long hot journey. Derek showed us where amenities like the bakery, hypermarket and beaches were on a local map. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be looking to stay here again on her next holiday in France.
Great escape near the Med

We stayed 2 weeks, with 2 grown up daughters, and it was perfect, great pool, good indoor space, and an easy walk into the charming little port town of Marseillan - literally 15 minutes on the flat along the side of the lagoon. Highly recommended
Such a relaxing holiday
By Mr and Mrs Craig on 09-May-2026My husband and I and our 2 small dogs have just returned from spending a fantastic 3 week holiday in the Villa Belles de Mai. It was perfect. The house was very spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. It is situated in a very quiet location with secure gates. It is very private and has lovely areas to sit or sunbathe front and back. Also the pool is so well maintained. The house is only a 15 minute walk to the port. And an easy 5 minute drive to the nearest supermarket. Derek and Lise are the perfect hosts being on hand when they are needed. The bedroom was very comfortable and the house stayed cool on the hot days. Which is so important having the dogs. We would highly recommend this property and we will certainly seriously consider a return stay. Our thanks to Derek and Lise for making our holiday a memorable one.
Lovely stay in Marseillan

Derek and Lise have high standards of cleanliness- the villa was very clean and tidy and well-equipped. The pool is a great addition. We enjoyed using it every day. The furniture around the pool is comfortable. Derek and Lise are excellent hosts and we would not hesitate to recommend them and their property.
Quiet well equipped pretty villa
By Nova on 16-Aug-2025Pretty villa in a quiet location with plenty of space for family of four and a dog. We enjoyed two weeks here. The hosts Derek and Lise were accommodating and friendly. Plenty to do in the area and beyond if you have a car. Food / wine choices in local restaurants were exceptional with a vast choice of fish dishes for all budgets.
2 week stay at Villa Belles de Mai
By Will & Nikki on 12-Jul-2025We had a lovely 2 week stay at the villa in Marseillan, it’s nice house which unlike many we have stayed in over the years has the touch and style of the owners. Very well equipped and laid out thoughtfully decorated. The pool and terrace area’s to the rear and front of the property are perfect for following the sun through the day. It’s a 20 minute level walk alongside the Etang du Thau into the centre of Marseillan with stunning views across to Sete. There are loads of bars and restaurants too choose from, or if you prefer self catering a well stocked Carrefour Market is a 5 minute ride in the car. Derek and Lise are perfect hosts, there when you need them.
