14th Visit - We started our holiday here with two anniversaries to celebrate. Our Ruby Wedding Anniversary and Clive & Barbara's. A trip out to the lovely Moulin de Varen restaurant was called for. Week 1 was just the two of us relaxing in these fantastic surroundings. I had seen that there was a lavender field in Castelnau, so decided a visit was required. Terres de Marrevaysse didn't disappoint. It was quite surreal walking up the lavender field surrounded by buzzing bees and other insects. Beautiful butterflies everywhere. It was definitely something different to do. We went to see Fred at Au Baladin in Castelnau and drove over to see the sunset at Puycelsi - then we joined Barbara & Clive for a fish & chip supper night at one of the local Chateaux. Week 2 - What better way for my husband to celebrate Fathers' Day than to have his daughter, Hannah and granddaughter Phoebe arrive. They stayed with us for 10 days. By now the heatwave had arrived and with high temperatures the pool was a must. After a hesitant start, nearly 2 year old Phoebe loved going in the pool. Her favourite word this holiday 'hot'. A quick drive to the farm animal rescue at La Ferme au Petit Poucet. A lovely walk with Phoebe in her buggy at the Base de Loisirs. The waterlilies are amazing. A good route to take with a buggy too. We called in at St Cecile to look at the views and visited a sunflower field which was spectacular. Into Week 3 and we were joined by two family friends, Scott and Denise for 4 days. We took them wine tasting to Chateau Terride whilst the girls stayed by the pool. We're always sad to leave here. Surely a sign of another great holiday. Thanks Barbara & Clive for everything. À bientôt. Karen & Kevin Langfield, Hazel Grove UK

A lovely relaxing holiday, although it was sometimes too hot. Lovely to cool down in the pool though. Very comfortable gite. Revisited places we went to last time we came 20 years ago. Thank you Clive & Barbara - Doh & Paul Withams + Rob & Suzanne McAlister, Chelmsford, Essex, UK

Thank you Barbara & Clive for allowing us to stay at La Grange. We have had an amazing time. Very busy going to the villages and very hot too. The pool was very much needed. We are all going to miss this place. David, Julie, Sean, Debbie, Chloe, Kristina, Jon and little Finnley.

La Grange arrival - 3 October 2026 Fabulous hosts, warm and inviting. Such a welcome from Barbara & Clive. A quick turnaround to pick up parents from the airport. We all very quickly settled into the fabulous surroundings. The lovely wildlife and relaxing woodland help make La Grange the perfect location. We visited many local historic sights and enjoyed the lovely French cafes. The lovely cathedral in Albi, St Antonin Sunday market, Gaillac - a great town and Cordes-sur-Ciel was a great day out. The small road train is an easy way to see the medieval village on the hill. Wine tasting the local produce an absolute must. We went to Mas de Bicary where we had a warm French welcome and enjoyed this very much. Friday we had to drop parents at the airport then extended our stay at La Grange thanks to Clive &Barbara being able to accommodate us. We enjoyed a further relaxing time - walked Clive's suggested walk several times. I saw a BLack Woodpecker - Merlin App will be installed. Love and hugs to the gorgeous donkeys never to be forgotten & the Spinoni. Thank you so much Clive & Barbara love - Catherine & Allen xx

A return visit after 11 years. It's. been great to come back and re-acquaint ourselves with the area and the donkeys which our 18 month old grandson, Finch, enjoyed but found them a little scary (a new word this week). The weather was very kind and the pool fun, if a little bracing (19C). This is such a beautiful area and a very peaceful place to relax. All the places we visited were quite quiet (Castelnau de Montmiral, Penne, Cordes sur Ciel and Bruniquel). The Sunday market at St Antonin Noble Val was great fun. The local animal rescue farm was a great hit and only a mile away, but the Angora goats appeared to be closed to visitors (perhaps the time of year). We flew to Toulouse and hired. cars, whereas we drove previously. Thoroughly enjoyed the largely empty roads. Thanks for being such great hosts and having such a delightful gite.

Once again, thank you so much for letting us share your home for the last 2 weeks. The place and serenity are magical. Weather has been a bit mixed but it hasn’t stopped us doing anything. We have both fallen in love with the Tarn - the people are so friendly and the scenery is stunning and not too many Brits! We have enjoyed watching ‘the Partridge family’ each day and saving the toads from the pool!! Have added yet more corks in the wall. Clive and Barbara are wonderful hosts. Once again, thank you for your hospitality. Tim & Becca, Colchester UK
