Great holiday
By Peter Bailey on 26-Jul-2026Great holiday - two grandparents, two children and partners and five grandchildren between the ages of 9 and 3. Our 5 year old learned from not jumping in the water to swimming a length unaided. She also managed a 13 mile bike road, which for a family of cyclists was a joy. Donna and Jay couldn’t have done more to help. Everything they provided was excellent. The living area and the kitchen made the holiday a breeze for 11 people.

Donna gave me a tour of the villa so I could see first-hand what a lovely property it is. The villa feels spacious, luxurious and is exceptionally well equipped, with plenty of room for large families, groups of friends and multi-generational holidays. The private heated and fully fenced pool is a real highlight, and the hot tub provides a perfect place for adults to relax. The dedicated children’s playroom is another fantastic feature and shows how thoughtfully the property has been designed for families. Beau Rivage also enjoys an excellent location: the village’s bakeries, cafés, restaurants and markets are within walking distance, while the beautiful Vendée beaches are only a short drive away. Donna and Jay were wonderfully welcoming, and their care, experience and enthusiasm for creating memorable holidays were immediately apparent. I would happily recommend Beau Rivage to anyone seeking a luxurious, family-friendly property with superb facilities and space for a large group.

From the ball pit to the dressing up clothes and the selection of dinosaurs, it was a kid’s paradise - my kids wouldn’t take the dresses off and wore them out to dinner most nights! The heated pool and hot tub were a hit, offering a perfect setting for relaxation and enjoyment. But what truly set Beau Rivage apart was the outstanding service provided by Donna. She went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was hassle-free and unforgettable. Beau Rivage is the perfect choice for families looking for a home away from home, where kids can have a blast, and adults can relax. We can’t wait to return to Beau Rivage.

By Caroline on 07-Oct-2025Donna and Jay are welcoming, considerate, and professional hosts who truly go above and beyond. They oversaw so many thoughtful details that made a tremendous difference in our stay. The home itself is beautiful -open and spacious, with Italian tile floors, many windows and patio doors, and a cozy fireplace that made it feel both elegant and comfortable. The beds and bedrooms were exceptionally comfortable and roomy, and the layout of the house -with ensuite rooms -provided the perfect balance of privacy and downtime for couples and families alike. The living and dining rooms were the great connectors, where everyone naturally gathered to share meals, watch movies, and work on puzzles together. The kitchen was certainly the heart of the home -stocked with every pot, pan, appliance, coffee maker, and teapot imaginable. We enjoyed cooking together daily, and Donna’s attention to detail showed in everything from the quality of the cookware to the abundance of glassware and table settings (enough for forty!). During our 28-day stay, it felt like we never had to wash a dish -there was always another beautifully clean set ready to go. We also wished we had our grandchildren along, because Donna has created an incredible children’s playroom on the first floor -complete with a bounce house, dress-up clothes, and plenty of space for fun and imagination. The grounds opened into a beautiful yard and patio, with views of the church spire and stunning sunsets in the evening. The pool and hot tub were the perfect way to end each day. We can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay -Donna and Jay are simply the best.
The Vendee is great for a family holiday and Beau Rivage was a perfect base for us.

Our week was memorable in that the villa was spacious, comfortable and very well maintained and our every need ( and that of our grandchildren) was catered for. The swimming pool was a highlight and was safe for young children in that it was enclosed with a lockable gate and the adjacent terrace and private garden made for a very enjoyable stay. A short walk gave access to a very attractive village with regular markets and friendly bars and restaurants. A short walk in the opposite direction gave access to a nature reserve with excellent birdwatching- turtle doves in abundance! There was a longer walk to the beaches (half hour), but 5 minutes by car with free parking as a bonus. The Vendee is great for a family holiday and Beau Rivage was a perfect base for us.
