Description

A delightful Villa in the country, but not isolated. It sleeps six in three double bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other two with large doubles. Each bedroom has an "en suite' shower room with WC. There is air con in all the bedrooms as well as the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need for a good holiday with delicious meals. There is a dining area and a large sitting room. There is fibre wifi, a TV with English channels as well as French. There is a large terrace from the kitchen with table and chairs and well shaded by trees. A second terrace on the south side of the house with lovely views over the Provencal countryside and full sun should it be required. The Pool is 10ms X5 ms and has a terrace with ample sun loungers, and parasols. It is not over looked.
There is a 'Jeu de boule" for those who love the game and very much part of this area.
The owner lives in an apartment in the basement which is not connected to the main house and has its own entrance and terrace. The main house and pool are not overlooked and are private to the guests. The owner is only seen should you require anything.
The Village of Varages, which is just over a kilometre away is attractive and is known for its pottery and has many shops selling these items. It has been a village known for its pottery since 1640. There is a museum and a Library. There is also a good restaurant which is very traditional and inexpensive as well as being charming with very nice owners. There is also a bar with seats in the centre of the village which is full of charm. There is an excellent butcher, and boulangerie in the centre of the village. A small grocery shop and a post office as well should it be required.
It is an hour and a half drive to the coast and half an hour from the Lac St. Croix. In June is is good to visit the lavenadar fields which are up near the lake. The walks are many and beautiful and the cycling is good. There are plenty of villages to visit with weekly markets and good restaurants. There are also festivals around to enjoy. Every village has a weekly market for those who like to enjoy the French life. Many Antique markets and car boot sales as well.
There is an ER at the hospital in Brignoles and Doctors in the next town and also in the village on certain days. A Good pharmacy as well. The local garage is also very helpful should you have problems with your car.
The countryside around is beautiful , mainly olive groves which helps to keep wildfires from coming too near, should there ever be any. The Pompiers (firemen) are very good at putting them out very quickly, however the risk here is minimal due to lots of olive groves.
