Seeking a chilled-out getaway? Then look no further than Petit Bernadis, a little haven of tranquility within walking distance of the historic hilltop bastide village of Monflanquin, one of France’s "plus beaux villages”. Petit Bernadis sits within the grounds of Bernadis (where your hosts, Clare and Damon live), at the end of a no-through road. The accommodation has been newly renovated, retaining the charm of the original building with a contemporary twist, and comprises an open plan modern living/dining/kitchen area, separate double bedroom and private terrace with access to a large pool, sunbathing terrace and covered summer kitchen.

For the more active minded there are lovely country walks, accessible from the property, and electric bikes are available on site should you wish to explore further afield. Enjoy a range of restaurants and bars in Monflanquin, where the village comes alive with its weekly summer night markets and annual medieval festival (mid August) with parades, entertainment and period costume. Why not explore some of our delightful neighbouring bastide villages, including Villereal, Monpazier and Pujols? Or venture a little further and take a boat trip/kayak along the beautiful Dordogne or discover the many vineyards dotted around our beautiful area.

We are also thrilled that the Tour de France will be returning to Lot et Garonne in 2024, passing through Monflanquin on its route to Villeneuve-sur-Lot.

We are 5 mins drive away from a large Casino supermarket (open 7 days a week) and 45 mins away from Bergerac Airport (pick up/drop off can be arranged for an additional charge). Toulouse and Bordeaux Airports are within a couple of hours’ drive and, from Calais, Roscoff or Cherbourg, it’s a 9 hour drive.
