Really lovely holiday home

By Emily Clements on 24-Aug-2019

A really lovely holiday home
We’ve just had a fabulous week staying in this lovely house. The location is peaceful, the pool lovely and the views stunning. The house has been set up really well for a family, and we appreciated the attention the owners have given to what you might need including towels for the pool. There’s loads to do nearby too if you can drag yourselves away.

Perfectly peaceful house & holiday 5*

By ANDY HAUGHAN on 29-Jul-2019

We had a lovely stay at this peaceful, quiet house. The house is lovely, so well finished and equipped with everything you could possibly need. It’s very spacious inside and out, sitting in a huge plot giving a huge amount of outdoor space. We enjoyed the terraces, morning coffee and breakfasts in the early sun and also the large pool with such a great outlook over open fields. It’s at the end of a lane, so very quiet with no noise whatsoever around you, which was ideal. The welcome pack was the best we’ve ever received and communications easy and very efficient throughout. Would highly recommend this house.

Perfect week .

By RICHARD HAYES on 28-Jul-2019

We had a wonderful week staying here. The house is located ideally, in a location that feels rural and isolated, but in reality is a short drive from everything you can need in Payzac or St Yrieux. Indoors everything is well thought out, and works perfectly, and the kitchen is well equipped. Outdoors the pool and garden are brilliant, and offer so many things to do (boules, table tennis, darts). We had an 18 month year old with us, and accommodating him was no problems (and apart from the pool, we didn’t feel like the house was risky for him to explore!). In particular he loved the neighbours’ ducks and chickens....

Lovely holiday Home, perfect for an active family

By KEN JUDGE on 16-Jun-2019

Lovely holiday home, perfect for an active family
This is a lovely property, situated in an area with plenty to do. We enjoyed some great walks and cycle rides even though the weather was not that great. The property is very well equipped. The main weakness is probably the absence of a second bathroom, but it looks as though that is in the process of being rectified. Overall, very good. Highly recommended.

5 star house & surroundings

By Henk Spitsbaard on 07-May-2019

5Star house and surroundings
The house, the spot, the view, the services were great. We had a fantastic stay and a really peaceful week. The quietness was salutary. This is the first time ever (we love new places and experiences) that we consider to come back sometime and that's probably the best compliment we can give.

Fabulous cottage in beautiful countryside

By ELIZABETH GRUNDY on 08-May-2017

Fabulous cottage in beautfiul countryside
This really was a fantastic family cottage, with everything you could possibly need. Very clean, spacious with lots of activities for our children to play with. Table tennis, basket ball, football nets, bikes, badminton, and of course a fabulous pool, which was a lovely temperature in the hot sun. We couldn't get over how quiet it was when sat on the patio watching the sun set, so peaceful and set in the most wonderful grounds. The large bathroom and kitchen were immaculate with modern facilities and the shower was excellent. I would highly recommend this cottage, and Tracy the owner was so accommodating and helpful.

Absolutely perfect !

By ALISON McDOWELL on 20-Aug-2016

Absolutely perfect!
We have stayed in may properties over the years, L'Aubuge Haute is by far the nicest Gite we have stayed in. The welcome pack was amazing allowing you to relax without the worry of dashing to the supermarket straight away! The house is ideally located to explore if you want to, its so peaceful should you decide to hideaway for the duration of your stay, the house is so well equipped you will want for nothing! My children loved the games and the use of the bikes. The house and pool is immaculate, Tracey was an absolute pleasure to deal with from booking to ensuring everything was ok whilst we were there. We will definitely be returning to this fabulous Gite! Thank you again Tracey & Nigel for sharing your beautiful Gite :-)

Fantastic

By ANONYMOUS on 06-Apr-2016

Fantastic
We have stayed in a lot of properties in the 10 years of traveling through France, this one is by far the best. Beautiful property very well equipped with everything you need. Excellent and well thought out welcome pack on arrival. The gardens and surrounding areas are stunning. The pool was lovely and well needed as some very warm days. All in all a truly relaxing holiday in a beautiful home, did not want to leave and will hopefully return soon. Tracey and Nigel are excellent hosts, would recommend this property to anyone.

Just what the doctor ordered .

By ANDREW HACKETT on 13-Jun-2015

Just what the doctor ordered
Immaculate and well maintained villa in the sleepy village of Payzac. A car is essential to visit many of the stunning towns within easy commuting distances circa 40km. We particularly enjoyed Sarlat, Perigeux and Brantome. Tracey provided very clear and useful booking information and directions, though Sat Nav also proved very useful. The Villa itself was just stunning, having said that I just loved the outdoor space and pool area which was amongst the best we have had in the 13 years we have been hiring private villas through this and similar websites. Have never stayed in same villa twice, but are currently struggling to find anything better for next year, so watch this space
