Leave ReviewWhat to say?
By Christina & Paul on 24-May-2025Dear Lori & Dave What to Say? Everything from start to finish has been wonderful. The warmth of your welcome, the fabulousness of the house, the view, location, pool..... we could go on. Your tips have been spot on. Our favourites for newbies reading this have been : Auberge Layotte for a real experience, La Boidicou in Thonac for interesting food and "mique" within walking distance and Chez Jeanine for great country food with amazing views. La Poste and Dejeuner Sur L'Herbe in St Leon are good too. Petit Leon is great and we can't thank you enough Lori for being our taxi driver. A special mention must go to the butcher in Montignac for the great cooked meats and pate. We're sad to be leaving but already planning when we'll be back and we hope to see you in Sheffield to introduce you to the Peak District. Love Christina and Paul
Thank you so much
By Wendy & Eddie on 05-Jul-2025Dear Lori and Dave Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your lovely home. We have looked for years to find somewhere like this and have finally found it. To have such a warm welcome and make two friends such as yourselves is a bonus! Well will definitely be back - very soon if we can! Take care and keep in touch. Wendy and Eddie
We have just spent a wonderful week
By Jackie and Paul on 19-Jul-2025We have just spent a wonderful week in this beautiful house and are sad to be leaving. It really is a special place. So peaceful and private yet near to everything. There is so much to see and do in the area and we only scratched the surface as it was just lovely relaxing by the pool. The house is so well equipped and Dave and Lori thank you for being so obliging and welcoming. We'd love to return. With very best wishes Jackie and Paul
Thank you Lori and Dave
By The Fisher Family on 04-Oct-2025Thank you Lori and Dave for letting us stay in your beautiful property. We have really enjoyed our stay 2 weeks here. The house and pool was everything we could have wished for. Your information for things to do and see was also much appreciated. The area and walks are superb. The Fisher Family
Wow, what a beautiful place
By Ali and Steve on 28-Sep-2024Wow, what a beautiful place! So lucky to have come to such a fantastic, peaceful location and also get to spend time with you both. We can't thank you enough. We did such extremes of things - from the wonderful, Michelin starred "Le Petit Leon" for a long, lazy lunch to the bar with blues music and chips! Loved the walk nearby under the overhanging cliffs followed by lunch by the river. Sad to be going back to the business of of the M3 and towns! But we'll definitely be back! Thanks again Love Ali and Steve
What a fantastic holiday
By Jude & Clive on 02-Aug-2025What a fantastic holiday - July 2025. The first week with our family was great. The pool is exceptional! The second week on our own also lovely. We had everything we could have asked for. Best French gite we have ever visited. Mini golf in Thonac was a hit. Losse Chateau was lovely. Canoeing from Thonac was great and just down the road. Lorraine and Dave couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Thank you both so much. Jude, Clive, Rachel, Jack, Evan & Emily
