This property ticks ALL the boxes! Very well appointed, great position high above the Vezere river overlooking a chateau. Close to many caves and prehistoric attractions. Lovely local villages with great restaurants and bars. Vides and Brocants abound! David and Lorraine are the perfect hosts with helpful advice if needed. The heated pool situated on a terrace above the property is probably the nicest we have come across in many years. WIFI and Sky also nice to have! There are at least three outside places to sit and eat plus a big table in the kitchen. It will take some beating! Lovely, lovely, lovely!
Date of Stay 22 Aug 2015 Well, the holiday started before we arrived, Dave and Lorraine were so very helpful with journey routes, shortcuts and food - listen to them, you won't be disappointed. The house was immaculate, comfortable and equipped with everything you need - even a teapot and a washing machine that worked properly! The salt water pool was lovely and warm (so many places say `heated` but don't feel it), the views and location very peaceful and relaxing. It's perfectly located for visiting the multitude of places of interest in the area. Our hosts were super-kind, just easy, likeable people. They were available for a chat or glass of wine, when we approached them. They were never imposing. Their knowledge of the area is great, so they have some good tips which we took on numerous occasions, never to be disappointed. Would we go back with our girls (9 and 11) - absolutely yes.
Date of Stay 12 Sep 2015 An excellent property done to top English standards. Fully equipped and everything is still shiny new. Your hosts are extremely pleasant and helpful making you feel more like house guests than renters. Very relaxing with everything supplied including Sky TV, games, English books etc. If you're undecided - book it before it's gone!
