Lovely villa for relaxing and alfresco dining,garden cocktail bar,BBQ The villa is located near Porches, which is renowned for its Pottery/Local wine, and only 2km from the fishing village of Armacao de Pera with its lovely sandy beaches, a range of restaurant cafes bars, supermarket Golf and horse riding within easy reach.
Special interest holidays - Horse riding, Bird watching, country walks, the owner has a fishing boat and he tells everybody about the big fish that got away, ha ha ho ho.
Coast/Beach - Armacao De Pera is 5 minutes by car or a country walk takes about 30 minutes, attractive palm tree lined the promenade overlooking the beach, good for swimming and water sports. Other local beaches near by Senhora De Rocha a small sandy beach between Porches and Armacao De Pera a good place for a boat trip with the local fisherman. Benagil is a nice small beach.
Praia Da Marinha lovely beach with impressive cliff top walks. All of these beaches are a short drive from the villa.
Travel - Faro is the nearest Airport 40mins drive, a Car is not essential, the taxi service is very good but if you like to venture out to places of interest it would be nice to hire a car.
Distances - The nearest town Armacao de Pera is 2kms from the villa which has a nice range of Restaurants, cafes and bars a great local market for all you fresh fruit/veg and a great fish market, also a choice of supermarkets, banks (ATM) and other places of interest. Taxi service and local bus service is available also the owner has transport for his guests
Further Details - 2 Traditional portuguese restaurants and bar are in 5 minutes walk from the villa. Other interest Aqua Land the water park is in walking distance. The Zoo Marine is a short 10 min drive, a chance to see and experience some of natures beautiful sea creatures, an entertaining and educational day for all. Algarve Shopping Centre 15mins.
Villa Camaleao is a comfortable family villa 6 bedrooms 5 bathrooms. Private and not over looked, suitable for all ages. 2 Pools can be heated on request,one with waterfall. All the bedrooms have air-conditioning and living area. Large dining area with BBQ, pool side pergola and cocktail bar. Out side shower/wc The villa has electric entry gates and security doors and private parking. located near to the local town of Armacao De Pera. Extra's available ie Z-Bed, cot/high chair. extra person, Z-beds available £150 cot/high chair £50. per week. Outside: Private gardens peaceful and relaxing private pool 8x8 metres this can be heated,Second pool 80cm deep is heated with water fall also outdoor shower/wc. Complete with sun loungers and patio furniture. Barbecue, comfortable dining area. Pergola and cocktail bar Games full size pool table and table tennis. Utility Room: Washing machine, dishwasher. Iron/ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service 2 times weekly, clean towels twice a week and clean linen once a week, this is included in the rental. included in the villa rental is use of towels at the poolside, Patio doors leading out onto walk around balconies overlooking over the pool and gardens. Large dining area, relaxing pergola area and cocktail bar. Views overlooking the peaceful country side.

Great holiday at villa Camaleao
By Jean McGing on 27-Jun-2026Had a fabulous 7 days at this spacious well equipped villa. Steve and Janie were perfect hosts and recommended nice restaurants in the area. Hope to think we will return.
Amazing villa, even more amazing hosts
By Maria Dunn on 20-Jun-2026This was our 3rd time visiting Steve and Janie's villa. The villa itself is magnificent, spacious, spotlessly clean, every facility you could hope for. There is always shade to be found somewhere in the gorgeous garden and 2 lovely pools for cooling off in. Steve and Janie themselves are wonderful hosts and will bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy your stay. They are gracious, friendly, enormously helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. You can walk in to Armacau de Pera (it takes 30-40 minutes on average) but Uber taxis are so reasonably priced and arrive so quickly we didn't bother this time - plus it was too danged hot! We cannot fault the villa or the hosts, they both get 10/10 from us. We wholeheartedly recommend them and we can't wait to come back.
Fabulous villa for a multi generation family holiday
By Pam Coen on 13-Jun-2026Just back from the most amazing holiday in the Algrave. If you are looking to please every one of any age then do not hesitate to book this villa. We were a family of 12 from 1 - 70 with a couple of teenagers too! It’s in prime location and the orientation and room configurations with en-suite bathrooms worked perfectly. It’s spotlessly clean and nicely furnished. The large pool and smaller pool, lighting and overall outdoor area is simply perfect for al fresco dining! We all loved it! The hosts Steve and Janie couldn’t have made us more welcome and made sure we had everything we needed including welcome drinks and other recommendations. Thank you ❤️
Amazing villa !
By Dan on 25-Jun-2025We had an amazing 10 days stay at the villa, hosted by Steve and Janie. The villa was perfect for our family and 2 young kids who absolutely loved the two pools, one little kids one where they could play games and then bigger one to swim around . There were lots of local restaurants that we could easily jump in short uber to with some lovely food. Villa was 5-10mins drive to some incredible beaches where we had lots of fun. What a wonderful week we had, there was 7 of us staying at the Villa and we wanted for nothing, so much space and the Villa is of very high quality. We do hope that we will get the opportunity to have future holidays here - we cannot recommend the Villa enough and strongly recommend this to other holiday goers - Superb from start to finish!!!!
A wonderful stay in an Amazing villa
By David Napier on 10-Aug-2024Our party of 11 had a wonderful stay in the villa. Great facilities and really friendly and helpful hosts - Steve and Jane, made for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The villa was well equipped to deal with the heat of the summer, with plenty to occupy 5 children and 6 adults. Although the property is located in a quiet area, it is only a short drive from the coast and other attractions, and within walking distance of restaurants. Would definitely recommend.
