Description
Casa Cristina is a luxury villa in very private position, in its own quiet grounds, which are not overlooked. It has fantastic and unobstructed sea views from the terraces and is only 1 km to the nearest beach. It has a few restaurants within walking distance and Carvoeiro is close by. Our family has owned and enjoyed this wonderful villa for over 30 years. We still go every year as do many of our repeat clients.Carvoeiro enjoys many good restaurants and bars (we often take an early evening 30 minute walk along a safe, paved footpath, sometimes stopping at the wonderful Sky Bar for a cocktail on the way). Taxis/Uber typically charge 6 or 7 euros each way. Benagil with its famous sea caves and popular beach is only a 5 minute drive in the other direction. The outstanding fish restaurant, O Algar. is also located there.
The Vale do Milho 9 hole golf course lies at the end of the road but there are many other lovely courses nearby including: Gramacho, Pinta, Palmares, Penina, Salgados and Boa Vista. There is organised daily tennis at nearby Rocha Brava ( 5mins walk ) where it is possible to hire courts.
The villa benefits from a fully gated large 10 x 5m pool, which can be heated, though this is not normally necessary during the height of summer. Please note there is an additional charge for pool heating. There is a pool side BBQ with a shady seated bower, and a cool inner courtyard with another BBQ for hot days. The pool terrace is divided from the upper terrace by a secure, gated fence.
All bedrooms have sea views with patio doors and shutters opening onto the terrace. The Master bedroom has a super king size bed., and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, WC, bidet, bath and twin marble basin unit. The 2nd bedroom has a king-size bed and has its own bathroom with bath, shower over bath, WC and marble basin unit. The twin room has 2 large single beds and an en-suite with a shower, twin basins, and WC.
The lovely large open plan living room leads to a circular dining room, which comfortably seats six. Wide patio doors open onto the spacious upper terrace for outdoor dining. There are 3 large sofas, TV, DVD, Firestick. Free high speed (fibre) WIFI access.
A fully fitted kitchen includes an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, ironing board plus iron, dinner service and everyday ware. wine glasses and tumblers etc. Washing machine and separate clothes drying area off kitchen.
There are steps that lead up to large roof terrace.

An additional Weber style kettle BBQ, cloakroom toilet, Cot and High chair available, Lockable safe, Air conditioning in living room and bedrooms, twice a week maid service including weekly bed linen change, beach and pool towels are provided.

Great location
By Nicola on 12-Jun-2026Casa Cristina is a large spacious villa, perfect for families or friends sharing. The pool is one of the largest we've ever come across in a villa and was crystal clear. Plenty of sunloungers but only 2 parasols. There may have been more locked away but we didn't ask. You can get complete shade in the afternoon by placing a sunlounger near the bbq seating area. The terrace area looks directly out to sea and it's lovely to sit there at night with the pool lights on. It's a short walk to the beach and a nice snack place that also does evening meals. You can also walk to the Spar shop where there are a few more places to eat lunch or an evening meal. We found Carvoeiro to be a bit too busy and bustling for us but the villa has plenty of places around it to eat and drink without going in to the town itself. Jardim do Farol is lovely for a meal and we went there several times. The villa kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need to make meals if you don't feel like going out. We cooked several times and had a few bbqs as well. We had a surprise when we opened the dining room doors and found another bbq area, more enclosed than the one by the pool, and steps leading up to a huge roof terrace. There is a safe in the bedroom. The cleaner comes twice a week but we prefer not to have anyone coming in while we are there so she was happy to just pop in and leave us clean towels. Pool man came a few times to keep the pool looking lovely.
A great family Holiday at Casa Cristina
By Penny Cole on 05-Jun-2026Right from the start Jackie was a delight to communicate with replying very promptly and answering all our questions. We were a family aged from 6 months to 82 years old! We loved the villa, it felt like a home. When we arrived the villa was spotless and the welcome pack was appreciated. The villa is so spacious and of course we loved the view from the terrace where we had many a lazy meal. It has the best equipped kitchen I have ever come across in a holiday home. Your local team looked after us really well. The location is great and we walked to the beach several times and into Carvoeiro. We visited a couple of our favourite spots including Albandiera in late afternoon - just perfect. Of course, we visited Carlos and family at O Algar for dinner on two occasions. . I will highly recommend the villa to friends.
Another fabulous week
By Tim on 11-Jul-2025We visited Casa Cristina for our fifth time, sharing with friends who had not visited before. The villa remains spacious with great facilities in a peaceful location. It has one of the best pool areas for a villa that size which we spent many hours enjoying. It is a short Uber ride away from Carvoeiro centre, where we have several favourite restaurants.
Beautiful Villa in quiet location

We were all impressed how spacious and clean the villa was and well equipped like home from home (you have the cleaner visit once during your stay). Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was a bonus. The pool is lovely (lockable gates which is great with young children) and you can sit at the outside table and look at the fantastic sea view. Communication with Jackie, the owner, was very prompt and she provides some handy recommendations to eat and visit etc. also the property management company popped in to check everything was ok on the first day. There is a lovely beach 10 minutes away, however, we would recommend hiring a car to visit other beaches/towns nearby and also the supermarkets, we also visited the nearby water park which was excellent. Overall would recommend this accommodation 100% and we will definitely return one day.
Wonderful villa in a peaceful location with a view you will never forget.

Home from home with everything you could ask for and more. The spotlessly clean outdoor area with plenty of sunbeds/seating, 2 bbq's, large clean pool and the view make this a very special place to relax and unwind. The excellent welcome pack was very much appreciated due to our late arrival. The villa and grounds are very well cared for with regular visits from the cleaner and pool man who were both polite and friendly. The nearest beach is only a 10 min walk away from the villa with plenty more close by. They are all worth a visit, the scenery is breathtaking. We had many wonderful evening meals out in Carvoeiro. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in lovely surroundings and friendly staff. Thanks so much Jackie for all your help and communication, we all had the best holiday & would definitely love to visit again.
Simply lovely
By Paul Chapman on 02-Aug-2024In over ten years of villa holidays in Carvoeiro, this is the best villa we’ve stayed in. Really wish we had found it sooner. Close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants etc, but in a lovely quiet area. The pool and outside areas are larger than we’ve experienced before and the villa is spacious and homely. When we weren’t playing golf we spent most of the holiday by the pool, although local beaches are excellent aswell. The villa is also extremely well managed. Highly recommended
