Description
Casa da Oliveira - 'The House of Olive Trees' is near to Almancil in the historic village of Sao Lourenco in a sheltered, peaceful yet not isolated setting with country & mountain views. Through double gates is the cobbled drive with garage & parking for several cars. The pretty walled garden has night lighting, shrubs & lawns for children of all ages to use! There is plenty of shade under the bougainvillea-clad terraces or on the hammock swinging gently under the large carob tree - glass in hand of course!!The HEATED 12m long tiled pool has Roman steps at one end and can have erected a POOL FENCE to enhance safety for toddlers. There is a large built in BBQ to prepare for dining under the stars in the balmy Algarve evenings.
Inside Casa da Oliveira is the spacious lounge/dining room with everything to keep young and old from getting bored - and for Winter warmth a wonderful log fire - logs supplied!
There is FREE WI-FI. Also newly fitted is a TV box with several 100 English and foreign (Dutch, German, Scandinavian, French and more) channels, 100s of films, music, many of the most popular TV box sets and 7 day catch-up.
From an inner lobby is double bedroom 2 and ensuite with both bath and shower cabinet. Also off the hall is the cloakroom and the kitchen which is very fully equipped with everything that is needed for comfortable living.
Off the landing at the top of the wide staircase is the Master Bedroom with dressing room, ensuite and private balcony. Bedroom 3 has a pair of wide single beds while bedroom 4 contains a pair of bunk beds plus a full sized single bed and small private balcony. The family bathroom with shower and bath is also off the landing.
Casa da Oliveira's location places it in what is known as the Algarve's 'Golden Triangle'. Therefore it is only a short drive away from many of the Algarve;s attractions such as several safe sandy beaches of different types, 13 top golf courses, the huge waterpark Aquashow Park, the 40km long world renowned nature reserve called Ria Formosa, Faro's old walled city, the Monchique mountains and much, much more besides.
There is all this action on the villa's doorstep yet in the sheltered and secluded garden there is no traffic or aircraft noise only the noise of bird's calling and the odd dog barking in the distance. Peace reigns at Casa da Oliveira!

Oasis of Calm and Solitude
By Michael Lanham on 03-Sep-2026You need a car for this villa as it is in a mostly peaceful and private location yet only just over 20minutes from Faro Airport. Everything you need and most things you want from a Holiday Villa are either built in or provided. There are 4 Supermarkets in Almancil within 10 minutes drive. The main bedroom overlooking the pool was spacious and had a fabulous bathroom. Most nights (despite the heat wave) we turned off Air Con and used the only fan and would suggest more are provided. Morning coffee on the sunrise balcony was a delightful start to every day. The pool is huge and a joy to use. The new cover made a huge, immediate difference. Also once we proved the pool cleaning schedule had been missed, Debbie sorted it that same day. Casa Oliveria will be on a very short list, if we return to the Algarve.
Wonderful traditional villa
By Carole from Belton on 14-Aug-2026Wonderful villa, in a lovely quiet area! It’s a very traditional Villa, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Loved the large pool, which was greatly enjoyed by the whole family! It has large airy rooms, and is very clean and tidy. Would love to stay here again in the future, and would definitely recommend for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.
Great family villa

The large pool with its spacious shallow area is ideal for children, while the generous outdoor seating and sun loungers make relaxing easy. The villa offers spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage, three bathrooms plus an extra downstairs cloakroom, and a convenient downstairs en-suite bedroom. Supermarkets are nearby, with MAR Shopping and the designer outlet just 7 minutes away. It’s also a great base for exploring charming towns like Loulé, Silves, and Olhão, all within 45 minutes, while Zoomarine is a fantastic day out for younger children
Lovely traditional Villa

The Villa was charming well maintained and full of authentic Portuguese character. The area was quiet and relaxing with beautiful scenery waking up to the bird song and spending evenings under the stars made this stay especially memorable. If you’re looking for a calm and authentic getaway in Portugal this Villa is a perfect choice. We left refreshed and already hoping to return. The kitchen is well equipped, the outside area is huge. Due to the Villa‘s location, a car is essential. There are a number of big supermarkets no more than 10 minutes drive away and the beaches are no more than 15 minutes drive.
