I just mean that 2 rooms have been renovated and bathrooms are beautiful. 2 rooms have not had renovation . They are still great sized bathrooms and functional and working. They are still great rooms. I was only explaining what the rooms are like.

Week away with family
By Ian Howse on 27-Jun-2026We had a lovely stay in June this year. The villa was lovely with everything we needed. A very quiet area and not far to walk or a short drive to Villamoura marina. The housekeeper was fantastic and very friendly. Our older children fully enjoyed their stay and the stunning gardens and pool. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. We will certainly be back again. Thanks Maria for being g so helpful with the communications before and during our stay. You will not be disappointed with this beautiful location and accommodation
Even better than the pictures
By Helen on 01-Aug-2026We stayed as a group of 9 (two families) in August 2026 and had a really lovely stay. The villa is massive and the photos don’t do it justice. All the bathrooms are new and the kitchen is also very modern. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor and the master is upstairs. The pool is incredible, it was a lovely temperature when we were there and the kids pool was perfect for us. The big pool has steps in and a shallow end which slopes down which is again great for the kids. We didn’t hire cars and got about using taxis which were readily available and not expensive. There is a spar about 10 mins walk away for food shopping and also a couple of bars and a cafe. There’s another supermarket 20 mins walk away and then we also got a taxi a couple of times to Pingo Doce supermarket which was great. The villa was clean and all towels were provided (pool and bath), the bath towels and bed sheets were changed halfway through our stay (we stayed for two weeks). Jose was the housekeeper and was available for any problems we had. We paid for the air con in the bedrooms and I’m glad we did as it was warm whilst we were there. It’s absolutely fine in the living areas as the ceilings are massive and it’s very airy and spacious. Definitely take plenty of mozzie spray! We got eaten alive. We enjoyed eating out at the marina and we also went for a nice meal in Vilamoura Old Village also. The beach is great and close in a taxi. Would definitely recommend!!!

Beautiful Villa
By Karen on 05-Jul-2025Stayed here with our family of 10, including 4 children under 4 years. The villa was very well laid out and accommodated the children very well. Outside the pools and garden were perfect and well maintained. Maria communicated everything very well. Jose was very helpful with any questions we had. Villa Joy is in a great location for all amenities. Taxis/Ubers very easy to book. Mosquito net shutters on the doors would have been helpful. Internet connection was patchy in some rooms. All in all a wonderful holiday.
Fabulous Villa
By Jan on 14-Jun-2025The villa is superb. The pool was beautiful and very clean - although not heated the water temp was 29 degrees. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything in it that we could have needed. All of the bathrooms were lovely and the villa was very clean. I would certainly recommend staying here. I suggest bringing some mosquito repellent but I think this was just the time of yeard.
