Overview
Description
Located in the Aroeira Golf Resort, Villa Bambu is of Mexican inspiration. It’s painted in "terracotta" and its design is similar to the traditional adobe and cob houses.
The thick walls actually kept the home cooler in the summer, but the AC system and the fireplace allow comfort in the winter months as well.
There’s plenty of outdoor space, such as an outdoor living room and a dining area with a wood-burning stove and a BBQ.
The lawn garden is peppered with mature trees, beds of shrubs, and cactus that make it feel quite tropical.

A fantastic base for a milestone birthday
By Atul on 13-Oct-2026Nine of us stayed at Villa Bambu for three nights to celebrate a friend’s 50th birthday, and it was the perfect choice. The villa is spacious and spotlessly clean, with plenty of room for a big group. The swimming pool, pool table and table tennis table were a huge hit, and we made the most of all of them. Marie Anne is a wonderful host. She kindly let us check in early, and she and her husband showed us around the property and explained everything we needed to know. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, with pots and pans in every size, glasses for every kind of drink, a coffee machine with pods, and anything else you could need. The location is very convenient too. There’s an Aldi about 1.5 miles away and a Lidl around 3 miles away for food shopping. The beach is just a 10-minute drive and has lots of beach shacks to eat and drink at. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would all highly recommend Villa Bambu to anyone planning a holiday near Lisbon. Thank you, Marie Anne! Very little to improve. The pool water was a bit chilly in October, so pool heating would be a lovely addition for guests visiting outside the summer months, although it would be perfect in summer. We also noticed the tumble dryer door was slightly loose and would sometimes stop mid-cycle. It didn’t bother us at all, but it might be worth a quick look. Neither of these affected our stay, and we’d happily come back.
