THE SETTING
Praia da Luz is a relaxed seaside village known for its beautiful Blue Flag beach, dramatic coastline, and welcoming atmosphere.
The beach is a 15 to 20 minute stroll from the villa, and the village centre with its restaurants, cafes and small shops is 10 to 15 minutes on foot. The local supermarket is about 10 minutes away, and groceries can be ordered online for delivery to the villa. Many groups manage happily without cars, as taxis, Ubers and Bolts are plentiful and cheap.
Lagos offers marina restaurants, the famous sea caves at Ponta da Piedade, boat trips, and nightlife just 10 minutes away by car or taxi. Sagres, Silves and the wider Algarve make easy day trips. Faro Airport is approximately 1 hour by motorway.
For golfers, five superb courses lie within 20 minutes of the villa: Boavista (5 minutes), Espiche, Palmares, Santo Antonio and Penina.
THE VILLA
Villa Lux Luz is a spacious private villa set across three floors, providing plenty of room for larger groups to spread out while still enjoying time together.
Ground floor: four twin en-suite bedrooms, each with direct access to the sun terrace and swimming pool (one with its own en-suite annexe).
Middle floor: the main entrance hall with guest WC leads to a huge living room, with steps down to the dining room, a fully equipped kitchen with two fridges and a dishwasher, and a utility room with a washing machine for longer stays. Two further twin en-suite bedrooms on this level open onto a large terrace with a sea view.
Top floor: four more twin en-suite bedrooms, two with large private balconies and fantastic sea views.
The layout works particularly well for family gatherings, group holidays, and celebrations. It is also well suited to retreats, training camps, and group workshops, with generous communal areas for shared activities alongside private bedrooms for guests. The property has also quietly hosted several well-known guests seeking privacy and space away from busy resorts.
BEDROOMS
Villa Lux Luz offers 10 twin bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy for all guests.
We are always upfront about one thing: all ten bedrooms are twins with two proper single beds. The beds can be pushed together to form a double, but the mattresses remain singles. Every pairing in your party gets the setup they want, and nobody draws the short straw.
Several bedrooms open directly onto the sun terrace and pool, while others feature private balconies with sea views. Bed linen is included with beds made up on arrival, plus one bath towel and one hand towel per guest.
The villa is frequently used by large family groups, golf societies, cycling teams, and wellness retreats who value the space and privacy it provides.
OUTDOOR LIVING
Much of life at Villa Lux Luz happens outdoors.
Guests can spend the day relaxing beside the large private swimming pool, stretching out on four-poster sun beds, enjoying long lunches from the BBQ and outdoor kitchen, or playing a friendly game of petanque, badminton, or volleyball in the garden.

WELLNESS, FITNESS & RETREATS
Guests looking to stay active or relax during their stay can enjoy the sauna, the private gym (an indoor space of around 25 m2 with free weights, a bike and a bench), and the jacuzzi spa area.
For retreats and fitness groups, a large flat covered outdoor terrace of around 100 m2 beside the BBQ comfortably fits 12 to 25 exercise mats, and the living room (around 60 m2) works well in cooler weather. Daytime sessions with music at a respectful volume are welcome, and your instructors, photographers and therapists may visit during your stay. One corporate group has taken the villa every winter for five consecutive years, and retreats, boot camps and cycling teams are among our most regular guests. Corporate invoices are available.

FAMILIES & CHILDREN
Multi-generational family groups are our single biggest guest type. There is a separate children’s pool, free high chairs, travel cots with cot linen included, Z beds ideal for younger children, an inflatable toddler paddling pool for hire, and gardens to play in. The village and beach are gently sloped and family-oriented.
As at any private villa, there is no pool fence (one can be arranged for your stay on request) and children must be supervised around the pool at all times.
An honest note on accessibility: the villa spans three floors with steps throughout and is not suitable for wheelchair users. Less mobile guests who can manage a few steps should talk to us about their needs before booking.

The villa is reserved exclusively for the guests named on the booking; events and celebrations are possible by prior arrangement (local noise rules apply after 10 p.m.).
A refundable breakage deposit applies to every booking (€1,000, or €2,000 for younger groups).

Villa Lux Luz is available for shorter stays and group getaways during the winter months, making it ideal for golf breaks, retreats, training camps, and off-season gatherings. The Algarve stays mild through winter, and the villa is fully heated.

Minimum booking value from €2,000.
Christmas and New Year periods: minimum 7-night stay.
A 40% deposit secures your booking, with the balance due 12 weeks before arrival. We reply to every enquiry personally, usually within 24 hours.

A perfect villa for large groups

The Perfect Balance between Work & Play

It’s rare to have a villa with so many ensuite bathrooms and this made a real difference to everyone’s comfort. The large shared living areas and BBQ space gave everyone plenty of room to relax and spend quality time together. As we stayed in May, heating the pool was definitely worth it, and the gym, sauna, and hot tub were all well used throughout the week. Geoff was incredibly helpful with local recommendations, dinner reservations, and ideas for things to do, which made the whole experience even better. We’d happily stay here again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend it to other groups.
