Casa Rachnna is a beautiful property, located a short distance from Corralejo centre in Fuertaventura. The villa is in a quiet urbanisation, La Capellania, with local amenities within a short walk. The villa itself, we found absolutely stunning. Everything we could possibly have needed during our stay, we found had been provided for our use. The rooms are large, bright and clean. The kitchen is equipped with every appliance you could possibly need. The south-facing terrace and pool area was where we spent most of our days, with a seating area under a gazebo where you can get some respite from the sun, if you need it. (We also spent a few evenings there, as a family, sitting around the table with the pool lights on at night made for a relaxing end to many an evening.) My first impression of the villa was that "it has everything you could possibly need, and nothing you wouldn't." La Capellania is a quiet suburb, set far enough away from Corralejo that you can enjoy some quiet time. There is a bar / restaurant, Casa Pablo, within a few minutes walk, where they serve good, home-made food (including English breakfasts), and is very reasonably priced. We enjoyed a few decent meals there. If you want to venture into the centre of town, there is a bus service hourly which runs to Corralejo or El Cotillo. For a group of four or more, a taxi into town would work out just as cost effective, and will pick you up at the property within about five minutes of placing the call. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. Having holidayed in Corralejo previously, I can honestly say that this is, by far, the best rental property yet. A true home from home.
We had a lovely stay at this villa for 1 week over New Year & it really was like a home from home. Litterally every pot, pan, utensil you could ever need & plenty of crockery & glasses. It also had cooking oils & etc & herbs & spices, so there was no need to go & buy any of these. We manged todo all our washing before returning as there was even detergent supplied. There wasn't a bbq but Rahael confirmed we could use throw away bbq but the supermarket had a little stand up 1 so we bought this instead & have left it out for future guests. Rachael was so lovely & very communitive with us which also made it a great experience. The pool & jacuzzi were great! If not a little chilly for us but could imagine would be a perfect temperature for the hotter months. We did make use of it though as we had some really warm & sunny days. The shower in the onsuite was amazing as it is a rainfall head & there was always plenty of hot water. The beds were really comfortable too & all the instructions for everything were very easy to follow. The villa is in a quite area called La Capellania, which is about 10 mins max by bus or taxi to Corrajelo, with the taxi costing between €8-€10 per trip, depending on whether it was Bank Holiday or a normal day. You can even get the bus in the other direction to El Cotillo, which is well worth a visit! The Super Dino super market was less than 5 mins walk away also.
My husband and I had a lovely week here and enjoyed every minute. The house was very tastefully decorated with most things almost brand new. Lots of little extras like towel covers with hoods that slipped over loungers, so simple, but so effective. Another lovely feature was the different colour changes to the pool and whirlpool tub coming with the waterfall over the pool. The owner was most helpful with all enquiries and Tina, the Property Manager went over and above her duties to be of help. Thank you Rachael and Tina.
