Villa Loukia at Kelia, luxury villa, in Walking Distance of Kassiopi, Corfu - Peaceful, very Private Location, EOT Reg.
Villa Loukia is located in a stunning position, nestled into the quiet olive covered hillside above Kassiopi in the hamlet of Kelia. The views from the villa across the bay of Avalaki and to Albania beyond are truly stunning. The property was new for 2008, having been bought by an English family with many years experience of holidaying in Corfu. Attention has therefore been paid to equipping the villa with all the necessary equipment for a relaxing and happy holiday whilst making sure it remains comfortable and practical for both couples and families alike. The villa is also equipped with items such as hairdryers and beach towels in order to reduce the need for two much expensive baggage on the flight over. Also for guest convenience every room has a 3 pin English socket as well as the standard 2-pin and USB sockets. No need to bring adapters.
The location is quiet and private - away from other properties - however unlike many villas in NE Corfu, the situation above Kassiopi means that it is possible to walk (1 km - 10-15 mins) to shops/restaurants in the evening, leaving the car at home. The nearest supermarket is just 5 mins walk or 2 mins in the car. The famous village of Kalami and the lovely secluded coves of that area is just a 10-15 mins drive. The pool is large (5m x 10m) and in 2015 we added heating which has been loved by guests using the villa in low season.
Villa Loukia has been extended and up-dated over the past 3 winters. For 2018 all 3 bedrooms have been re-tiled and all the en-suite bathrooms are new.
The Master Bedroom has been extended to create a 'master suite' with a sofa bed at one end for those with young children. There is also ample room for a travel cot too. The new, luxurious bathroom has a bath and separate shower. It has great lighting, courtesy night lights, extraction fan, heated mirror and a shaving mirror.
The 'Blue' Bedroom and bathroom have been re-modelled so that the twin beds (can be made up as a double) are opposite the amazing view, the floor is the same gorgeous tiles as the master, the bathroom is larger than it used to be and really luxurious with a wet-room style shower, loads of modern lighting, automatic night lights, heated mirror and magnified shaving mirror. All the details you could ever need.
Downstairs is the Orange Bedroom and bathroom which have been upgraded to the same standard as the other two bedrooms/bathrooms. It has the advantage of having french windows that lead out on to the terrace and pool.
The whole of the living area has also been re-tiled to match the rest of the property and extended with a fantastic 'picture' window that takes in the view across Avlaki to Albania beyond. This gives a wonderful indoor dining area for low season. In the living room there is also a double sofa bed for extra guests by prior arrangement only.
We are really pleased with the results of the all the work we have done and guests seem just as pleased!
We loved everything about Villa Loukia – just for example: the cream and green external colour scheme, the comfort and spaciousness, the clear instructions, the sharp kitchen knives, the swing-seat, living in an olive grove, the ping-pong table, the bathrooms, the beautiful heated pool and the exceptional view. The kitchen is well-organised and equipped, and well lit - very easy to use. The lighting throughout the villa is good: there are good reading lamps, and movement-sensitive low-level lights to guide night-time steps! It was lovely to have emergency rations waiting for us on arrival. We admired the effort and thought which has gone into being carbon-neutral. The villa is in the north-east of Corfu, on the lower slopes of Mount Pantokrator, easily accessible from the main coast road, with excellent directions provided by the owners. Unspoilt beaches and coastal paths are within easy reach by car, as is more mountainous country. The nearby village of Kassiopi is within walking distance, has a pleasant atmosphere, a range of small supermarkets (so it's not necessary to go further to shop for food) and a pretty port area with plenty of options for eating out. Even outside high season there are activities such as scuba-diving available: our son had a great day with Dive Corfu at Acharavi, about 20 minutes' drive along the coast. We liked the undeveloped parts of the coastline best (and there is still plenty) and the quiet mountain villages. We were impressed by the villa's support team – for example, the delightful people who maintain the pool to perfection, and are evidently anxious not to be a bother. We saw and heard so much wildlife during our stay, but thankfully none in the villa itself! We were not there at a time when mosquitoes were a problem, but the mosquito nets which were in place looked very effective. The whole week was a delight.
Super bathrooms a lovely pool The owners have gone to great lengths to make this villa superb All parts of the villa are fresh and clean. Nothing looks tired The owners are great communicators. Nothing is too much trouble If you are looking for a villa in this area I can’t recomend it highly enough You won’t be disappointed
We stayed at Villa Loukia as part of our honeymoon to Greece from the United States (California)! It was a far journey and we are so glad we decided on Lucy's wonderful house and Corfu as our destination. Villa Loukia was spotless and perfectly comfortable. We appreciated the design of the home and many lovely details. We loved having the pool to ourselves with gorgeous sweeping views of hills, water, and Albania. We enjoyed a short walk to town from the house but also appreciated the privacy that the location afforded us. We cooked comfortably at the home one night and enjoyed lots of nearby tavernas as well as easy getaways to other destinations on Corfu. Lucy was a wonderful host and especially helpful leading up to our trip. As major planners, we had lots of big and small questions in advance and Lucy was so warm and quick in her responses and shared all her expertise with us. Many thanks!
This is a superb quality villa! Position ideal, quiet, private, great for walking into Kassiopi, great for hiking and mountain biking too! Loved the pool, loved the views, loved the feel of the place. Spotlessly clean and excellent facilities. We will be back ... hopefully!

We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Loukia.
The villa itself surpassed all our expectations, it was beautiful, spotlessly clean, completely private and the views breathtaking. Set in an olive grove, the butterflies, birds and Spring flowers created a unique charm.
Lucy was extremely helpful in providing directions to the villa and provided recommendations for places to eat and things to do. We had some great meals out and the local supermarkets provided everything we needed. we loved a trip to Corfu Town and also hired a boat for the day which was a highlight.
Our family of four felt looked after wherever we went and Kassiopi itself had a friendly and relaxed ambience.
We would absolutely recommend the villa.
Thank you for a memorable holiday.
As a group of five older adults, we wanted a peaceful holiday in luxurious accommodation and in a stunning location - Villa Loukia certainly ticked every box and more! Lucy really has put a lot of time and thought into her client's needs and provides everything you could need to enjoy a fantastic holiday. This is a spacious and luxurious villa situated in a quiet location, from which it is easy to visit and enjoy the many local beaches and attractions, and with plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants close by. Nothing was too much trouble for Lucy and her team, including when we asked for the temperature on the heated pool to be increased when we found it a bit cool for our ancient bones. We have no hesitation in recommending staying at Villa Loukia and we will definitely come back again! Famous Five Villa Loukia thoroughly deserves every plaudit it receives
This villa never fails to please. We have been several times and can't get enough of it. The recent changes to the bedrooms and bathrooms are even more stylish than before. Such supeb quality. The picture window in the living area offers breathtaking views over the sea to the Albanian landscape. Fantastic location close to the beach and some top class restaurants. I can't praise this villa enough. Fabulous holiday.
Second visit to Villa Loukia as we enjoyed our first so much. Great location just 2 mins from Kassiopi - close enough for convenience, far enough away for seclusion and stunning views. We love this villa - beautifully designed, comfortable and perfect for spending long days by the pool. In fact, we hardly ventured out - very well appointed kitchen meant we could cook lovely meals at home and eat on the terrace - we figured no restaurant on the island would have views as good as these! Having said that would recommend morning coffee down by the harbor in Kassiopi, and Tavernaki restaurant in harbor is great for dinner with sunset. On practical note, the villa is absolutely as described, very clean and well maintained, with helpful local information and owner's tips on what to do and see while you're there. Would happily recommend this villa to anyone.
We had a lovely holiday in such a beautiful villa with stunning views, a lovely and an idyllic setting. Since our last visit there have been some major changes made to the dining area showing breath taking views of the bay and also the bathrooms which look like they came out of a 5* luxury hotel. This villa has everything you need so you can have an enjoyable and relaxing holiday, it is such a wonderful place and will definitely be going again.
Excellent location, beautifully presented, views, what not to like. We will be back, probably many times
This is the third time we've visited Villa Loukia and it just keeps getting better. It's been almost completely refurbished over our three trips and the improvements to the bedrooms and sitting area are stunning. The location is perfect if you want to be completely private and away from it all yet still within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The nearest supermarket (Nicos) is great - very friendly and you can get everything you need plus you can order in specific foods for your barbecues (the barbecue area is more like an outdoor kitchen). We've been with various members of our family and everyone loves it here - I doubt you'll ever have a more stunning view as you eat your breakfast on the terrace. We'll be back!
Myself and my family all had a wonderful time and loved this villa. Lucy's notes were very clear and helpful. Even when we locked ourselves out (completely our fault) we had a local number to call and the problem was sorted in 10 minutes. The villa was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals. The two bathrooms upstairs have been refurbished to a very high specification. We loved the various terraces, all with beautiful sea views, and spent alot of time sitting and gazing at the view. The swimming pool is large and scrupulously clean. We hired a boat and had a fantastic day out exploring the little coves. Thank you for a fantastic holiday. Tracey Xx
After staying at Villa Loukia 2 years ago and having a wonderful time, we came back again at the end of May. We knew the villa had been refurbished but never imagined the absolute 'WOWness' of it!. Truly amazing! The new picture window offers fabulous views from the very roomy and well furnished living room. The extended master suite was more than big enough for 2 adults, a child and baby ,with a stunning top spec bathroom. The blue room has been wonderfully refurbished, again with an amazing bathroom with every finishing touch you can imagine. We spent many happy hours in and around the lovely pool and couldn't get enough of the truly spectacular views. Absolutely everything ( and more) is provided to ensure you have a wonderful break away and Lucy is incredibly helpful if you have any queries before you go. Do not hesitate to book Villa Loukia....you will not be disappointedl!
Our week stay at villa Loukia was even better then we expected. We just loved the atmosphere of the house and surroundings, couldn't get enough of the spectacular views and especially appriciated all the cosy places were you can just sit back, relax en enjoy. All the information about the house prior to arrival was extensive and accurate. The property was spotless clean and we felt really welcome by Lucy, who we have had the warmest contact ever with. We were touched by the kindness of the locals. Kassiopi is a lovely little town were you can find everything you need from grocery's to nice restaurants. Everyone who would like to experience Corfu and is looking for a special and comfortable place to do so, we can highly recommend to choose VillaLoukia. You won't regret!
The best villa we have stayed in, everything about Villa Loukia says quality from the well maintained villa and gardens to the bed linen and towels, even the toaster is a Dualit! Lucy has thought about every possible need and is so helpful and thoughtful with help and information. The views across to Albania are breathtaking , watching the sunrise over the mountains or the moon come up in the evening, it would be easy to stay at the villa all day. We hired a car through Julia and although not essential I would recommend it. The road to the villa is quite steep and from the centre of Kassiopi probably a good 20 minutes or more climb ( quicker going down!) and at night it is very dark. We found a car made exploring, shopping and eating out much easier. Nicos supermarket at the bottom of the hill had everything we needed and were very friendly and helpful. We also loved Nicola's bakery in Kassiopi, delicious bread, pies and the largest doughnuts we have ever seen, word of warning get there by mid morning as they sell out quickly. Restaurants in Kassiopi that we enjoyed were Tavanakkis on the harbour , The Old School House and Little Italy, all were delicious and reasonably priced. Bar Limona on the opposite side of the harbour to Tavanakkis was fun for delicious sundaes. Out of town Harry's at Perithia is definitley worth a visit and Ice Dream just before the turning to Perithia is a great ice cream parlour, there is a play area for small children. Lawrence Durrells house, The White House at Kalami is in a beautiful spot and the food was very good. My teenagers enjoyed rock jumping from a beach between Kalami and Agni, we then walked to Agni for lunch and ate at Nikolas Taverna which I would also recommend. If you have children and they want a bit of pedelo fun we found a lovely little beach at Agios Spirodon where you can hire them, I would imagine this beach is busy in the summer months though. We made the journey up to Mount Pantokrator, it is a long twisty journey but the view is worth it. We also found an incredible cave just outside Perithia which we have found no mention of in any guide book, bit of a climb down into it but quite an amazing sight. This was our first visit to Corfu and we loved it, Villa Loukia has spoilt us for any other villa, I'm sure we will be back.
The owners have tastefully furnished and carefully designed this luxury property. The panoramic views of Albania are the icing on the cake but the pool, BBQ, outside seating, immaculate kitchen and each of the bedrooms combine to make this a great family holiday base between the beach and mountains for swimming, mountain biking or just walking. Its only a 15 minute walk into town if you can tear yourself away from the hillside location. You will need a car but you wont want to leave. Even the local supermarket is an asset with its local honey and yoghurt and other produce.
This was our second visit to Villa Loukia. We spent a year so looking forward to visiting again. Lucy and Nick had done some fantastic alterations to the house, we hadn't believed it coul be improved upon but it is utterly stunning. The character has not changed but such clever attention to detail. It really feels like a home , everything you could need is there . We had a few power cuts (island related, not villa related), and this managed to trip the pump for the pool. When we asked for help, we had an electrician with us in half an hour and a pool chap within three hours. They really have the team to back them up. We had a mixture of ages with us from an eight year old to a twenty year old and the house works perfectly for all ages. We organised some cleaning while we were there and I would highly recommend that option as it meant us adults could properly relax. We rented a car this year for the first time and explored much further afield. There are so many glorious places on the island but it was always heaven to get back to Villa Loukia . If I had one complaint to make it would be that two weeks goes by far too quickly...never enough time at such a magical house! Huge positive reccomendations from us and thanks for such a wonderful holiday in your beautiful home.
Beautiful villa with fabulous views.Great outdoor eating areas, one on veranda with the views and the other a very pretty BBQ area with large table under a pergola. The pool again has the magnificent views and is set in a lovely tranquil rural area with plenty of sun loungers and shade from the olive tree.. The setting gives you the opportunity to totally relax. The local shop is well stocked and people are very friendly. I would highly recommend staying at this excellent villa.
Walking into Villa Loukia for the first time, we were stunned by the view from the window across the sea to Albania. And looking around you can tell that the owners have obviously thought about what they would like on a villa holiday and it shows. Comfy settees, a well equipped kitchen, lots of glasses, air conditioning and ceiling fans, insect blinds, and plugs everywhere. But it is the extra touches that make this villa stand out, an outdoor refrigerator, ubs plugs, a bar b q in a sheltered tranquil setting. Beautiful gardens. The owner’s bedroom and ensuite are gorgeous and we were told that our room was being upgraded this year. Our lovely bedroom opened onto a large balcony with comfy chairs and sofa where you can watch the sun rise, catch the afternoon breeze and spend all day just relaxing with the changing light of the landscape. The pool area has plenty of sun loungers and seating with olive trees shading you from the sun, and there are plenty of pool towels. We did not want to leave the villa, but the local shops and restaurants are a 15 minute walk away and all you have to worry about is the last 50 metres to the villa on the walk home…………. oh and did I mention the view!
This was our fourth visit to Villa Loukia and didn't think the facilities could be improved upon but the owners have made it even better. The new master suite is superb and right up to date along with the extended sitting room and dining area. We had perfect weather all week and it was very hard to pull ourselves away from the pool (which is now heated) to go and explore the nearby beaches and coves. It is just a short walk to Kassiopi and the local shops but the Villa is in a quiet and private place with breathtaking views. The owners have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable and in the event of a rainy spell there are plenty of board games, videos and books on hand to pass the time.
This was our third stay in Villa Loukia and each time it has got better. It was September and we weren't sure what the weather was going to do but for seven days the sky was blue from horizon to horizon, temperatures were in the mid 30s and we didn't want to do anything but lie by the gorgeous pool and slide in now and again to cool down. For seven people it was paradise. OK someone had to summon up the energy to make the five minute trip down to Nicos' supermarket to get the beer, wine and supplies for the evening's entertainment. Once a day we all had to drag ourselves away from the pool to answer the call from the barbecue and massive dining table down in the grotto where we spent most of our evenings drinking, eating, talking and playing games. There's a great assortment of games in the villa and this year we discovered Carcassone! The attention to detail in the villa is second to none. It is superbly equipped and spotlessly clean. An amazing holiday! We will be back!
A truly wonderful villa. Very comfortable, immaculate both inside and out and it has everything you need. We went with four children from the ages of 19 down to 8 and all ages were happy. There is lots of space for everyone to find a place to be quiet. The views are stunning and worth being above Kassiopi for. It is a walk from the town to the villa so a car or moped is a good idea but near enough for teenagers to walk back after a night out.Thebbq is excellent and sitting under the pergola is like being in your own private taverna. The kitchen, though small, is very well thought out with everything you need. A real bonus is the outside fridge and sink. The beds are very comfortable with beautiful bed linen and proper pillows. The team behind Loukia were all extremely helpful and though no maid service is offered they were very happy to come in and clean when needed for a reasonable price. The pool is heaven, lots of shady spaces under olive trees and comfortable sun beds . Villa Loukia is a real haven, little touches make it a home from home and we really felt that we were staying in someone's well loved home. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa.
This was a really lovely villa, clean and also very well equipped and thought out. True to the description it was within easy walking distance of Kassiopi, which was a real bonus for our teenagers (and us!) complete with stunning views and a generous size pool. Lucy the owner was delightful to deal with. This is the third villa we have stayed in on Corfu and the best by far. I cannot recommend Villa Loukia highly enough - we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!"
The villa was spotless every detail had been thought of in order to make your stay comfortable. The views were unforgettable. We visited all the recommended beaches, one day by a small motor boat, and enjoyed the local tavernas, the food was perfect.
We cannot recommend this villa highly enough. The views are superb and, although quiet and peaceful, it is within a convenient walking distance of lively, picturesque Kassiopi. Lucy, the owner, was very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
I knew from the reviews and the photos that Villa Loukia was going to be great, but it was even better than I could have imagined. The location and views, the outside areas and the interior could not be faulted. Everything was spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and very well maintained. It is the best equipped holiday rental we have ever been to...a complete home from home and more! Lucy even arranged for a potty to be provided (little extras that mean so much) We stayed as a family of four adults and a 2 year old. Perfect for all ages and particularly impressed with the safety of the pool area which was gated, allowing my granddaughter the freedom of playing out on the veranda without worrying about her gaining access to the pool. I would honestly not wish for anything more from a holiday home....just perfect. We all want to return again and recommend it 100%. The small town of Kassiopi, a 15 minute walk away, was lovely with lots of bars and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Petrino restaurant at the harbour....excellent food and service. We did walk back up the hill to the villa a couple of nights (torches provided) but a taxi costs only 5 euros which was well worth it.
Everything about this Villa is very well thought about. Lucy was great about advising us where to go and places to eat. Providing some snacks and refreshments on arrival was very thoughtful after a long journey. The heated pool is lovely and the view from the villa is spectacular. Everything you could possibly need is provided and in good working order. It really allowed you to relax. The villa and pool were cleaned regularly and the staff were nice. Thanks you very much Lucy for letting us stay in this magical place.
Villa Loukia is a delight and set in a superb, private position surrounded by olive groves. The villa is accurately described and very well appointed both inside and out and very clean. The bedrooms upstairs are large and decorated with local wrought iron furniture with lots of cupboard space and quality bed linen and towels and little extras like Molton Brown toiletries. Both upstairs bedrooms open out to an exceptional balcony which offers views of the sea and the most amazing sunrises from behind the Albanian mountains. The ensuite bathrooms are modern and big and amply served 2 adults and 3 teenagers. The bedroom downstairs has twin beds and ensuite and french doors to the outside terrace and has plenty of cupboards. The heated pool was kept beautifully clean; we stayed 11-18th April 2015 and the heated pool was definitely a bonus and well used by the whole party and kept to an ambient, warm temperature. Downstairs the kitchen is well equipped and we were grateful for the welcome pack of essential food items. My children 'tested' the internet at the villa quite a lot with their various devices and reported that it was very good; probably better than at home! The owners were very helpful with the many questions we had prior to our visit and their information pack was invaluable, especially the recommendations to beaches and restaurants which you should definitely check out, in particular, Agios Stephanos which is just stunning. As we were travelling in early season, a lot of the restaurants were not fully open but we didnt mind this as it was quieter and we were lucky that the sun shone every day! Best way to see this memorable part of Corfu is to hire a car.We would recommend this property to everyone and it would suit all families with children and grandparents. We will return again I hope!
This is the third time I have stayed in this villa and I wouldn't consider anywhere else in Corfu. The villa is beautifully appointed and in a glorious location with extensive views over the sea to Albania. There is a great heated pool and barbecue area if you want to stay in but it is only a short walk to Cassiopi which is a typical small Corfiot town with great restaurants and shops.
This is a lovely, luxury villa with great facilities. It's very private and has beautiful views from the terraces and pool area. Breakfast was a wonderful experience - sitting in the early morning sunshine, looking out at the lush, colourful garden and beautiful views of the sea and the Albanian coastline. The large heated pool, decked with sun loungers, is a bonus and it was great to make use of the barbecue. The accommodation is well stocked with all the gadgets and comforts you need for a 'home-from-home' fantastic holiday - I can't think of anything that was missing - it comes with pool towels, bath towels (you don't have to weigh down your suitcase!), hairdryers, iron, sound systems, wi-fi, a drinks fridge and it's even got some 3-pronged plug sockets! The villa is located on a hillside just outside the main bar and restaurant area in Kassiopi. We thoroughly enjoyed the picturesque walk to and from the restaurants (it takes about 15 mins), but if you don't fancy the hill on the way back, there are local taxis available. Kassiopi itself is a lovely place to visit with a pretty harbour, some great restaurants and very friendly locals. It was my first visit to Corfu and we had a great family holiday, made extra-special by the high quality comforts and facilities of this villa.
We love this villa. It has everything you could need and a range of beautiful and well thought out areas to sit and enjoy. We have stayed in this amazing villa on several occasions now but usually in the main holiday season. This year we went out of season and had the most wonderful time. The heated pool is a new addition and is amazing. We swam every day and it was just the same as going in June. We had fabulous weather and didn't actually use the sitting room as it was warm enough to sit outside every night. This is a wonderful time to see the island as everything is still very green and we had the magical experience of seeing the fire flies out every night. It's like the trees have fairy lights on them! Not all of the restaurants are open and some of our favourites were closed which initially I was disappointed about, but it actually made us try some new ones which we wouldn't have tried otherwise. We found some really lovely restaurants that were open. Tavernaki and Petrinos in the harbour were exceptional. It will make it difficult to choose where to go if we go in the main season again as these are up there on our list of favourites now. We visited St Stefanos bay, the old town of Parithia and Kassioppi castle, all worth a visit if you fancy a change from sitting around the pool. We also went to Sidari which is more like I imagine Kavos to be. Not really our scene! This is a lovely time of year to go as it is not too hot but still hot enough to sunbath and swim. The town is really peaceful and because it's not really busy the restaurant owners can't do enough for you. What a fabulous holiday!
Dear Lucy and Nick We're safely home from a truly fabulous holiday! Villa Loukia is as sensational as our first impressions, and I'm sure there isn't a more perfect location in the whole of Corfu! Everyone you've got working there is excellent - nice people, reliable, and good at their jobs. It was great to have a holiday home where everything functioned perfectly. We spent many happy hours just sitting and watching, and we loved seeing the goats coming up and down the terraces each day. Truly a great holiday Thanks again Mike & Jane.
I have stayed in many rental villas in Greece and Villa Loukia is most definitely one of the best. The photographs do not do this stunning location justice. The décor is beautiful and this is one of the best equipped places I have ever rented. The owners have put a lot of thought into making your stay as comfortable as possible. The high standards are also reflected in the cleanliness. The local information provided by the owners was excellent from directions to the villa to the best place to buy Tzatziki. I would most definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a stunning secluded hide away on Corfu that is also easily walkable into Kassiopi.
This was my first visit to Villa Loukia and I would highly recommend it. The villa was set in peaceful surroundings with the most idealic views that could be seen from the balconies leading off the bedrooms. The pool was well maintained and plenty of space to sunbathe or read a book in the shade. There is even a hammock for the more daring holiday maker!! There is a lovely bbq area in a secluded area if you enjoy self catering but if you want to eat out the centre of Kassiopi is only 10 mins walk away with every variety of cuisine. If you don't fancy the walk back there are taxis on standby and very reasonable in price. Overall I thought Villa Loukia was a home from home with the added bonus of the hot sunshine!! I couldn't fault anything, they have catered for all needs. I would highly recommend this to friends and family and only wish I could have stayed longer as the week just went too quick. I would definitely go back again!!!
A wonderful relaxing holiday, villa loukia has everything you could wish for with beautiful views from several different balconys. The pool was completely private within a peaceful setting, and there was plenty of seating and sun beds to accommodate everyone. There is a beautiful BBQ area that we took advantage of on our first night but if you prefer to eat out it is only a 10/15 min walk to the centre of kassiopi with a full range of restaurants which were all very friendly. Overall I could not find a fault with anything at the villa except the week went too quick and wished we had two weeks maybe next time!!!
What a fantastic place to spend my 50th birthday with the family! My husband and children (aged 23, 22, 21) didn't want to go home and now back in an Autumnal England we are pining for the beautiful sea views of the Albanian mountains, the peace and tranquillity around the pool and the gentle swaying of the hammock! The villa is exactly as it looks in the pictures and is equipped with so many extras that make it a real home from home; books, maps, DVDs, cards and games, pool airbeds and balls, good quality kitchen utensils etc etc. The villa is situated in a perfect position to suit any age group, from the peace and quiet of the hillside olive groves to the lively bars, shops and restaurants of the beautiful harbour village of Kassiopi, 15 minutes walk away. Lucy's suggestions of restaurants, places to go and things to do were so useful and accurate. On Lucy's recommendation, we drove 5 minutes down the road and also sailed in our little hire boat, to the beautiful sandy beach at Kalamaki, where we snorkelled and swam in water as warm and clear as a bath! We seemed to re-live Gerald Durrell's book 'My Family and other Animals', as we had close encounters with so many creatures around the villa; tortoises, geckos, magenpies and ciccadas in the garden, an owl sat on the road outside, a bat with a broken wing on the patio, a buzzard sat on the pool railings and a beech marten peeking at us from the barbecue wall! The Wi-Fi came in handy for Googling animals! Having never having been to Corfu before, Lucy said to me that the North East coast and Kassiopi are a well-kept secret and people return again and again. She's right, come and find out for yourself.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at Villa Loukia. The villa is modern and fully equipped with everything you would need for a lovely vacation. The views across the water to Albania are stunning, and the villa is a very short drive into Kassiopi town or to the nearest beach, though we tended to spend most afternoons relaxing by the swimming pool which was beautifully maintained and the perfect temperature.
Our third visit in six years and it's just like coming home. A great outside house, lots of terrace and balcony space with a fantastic tiled pool and surrounding area with a hammock and shade arrangement under the olive trees which is brilliant. The BBQ area and table is a real party space and the upper balcony is the best place for an evening chill out watching the shooting stars and Albania in the distance. Local beeches are great but not sandy, boat hire is a must use St Stephanos boats which are better quality, we really liked restaurant Tavernaki in Kassiopi Port which is new this year and great quality and value for money.
I was a little worried that Villa Loukia wouldn't/couldn't live up to expectations - but I forgot all those worries as soon as we arrived. The views are superb. Pool, terrace and garden are gorgeous. All the rooms are tastefully decorated but still feel homely. And the location was perfect for us: far enough out of Kassiopi to feel peaceful but not too far to walk home after a night out at one of the local restaurants. Our sadness at leaving was only tempered by the fact that we're going back again later in the year. Just wonderful.
This was our 1st stay at Villa Loukia. The villa is even better than the description & photos. It was extremely comfortable & had plenty of space for us all to relax, & we especially liked having so many terraces / places to sit ( the hammock was a great hit). We loved having the ability to just walk down to road & collect fresh bread & creamy Greek yogurt for breakfast & then sit & enjoy that, whilst gazing out at the glorious view towards Albania. Nikos & Lea , at the local supermarket, were so kind & helpful- even supplying an extra free bottle of prosecco for a special occasion. Their local caught fish & meat for the BBQ were excellent. We enjoyed exploring the area & hired a boat on 2 occasions. That allowed us to go back to Agios Stephanos & arrive at the taverna by sea. We had wonderful food wherever we ate - Lucy, all your recommendations lived up to their descriptions. We didn't have time to get to Agni, so that will have to wait until the next visit. We also enjoyed horse riding. Thanks to Julia, the local agent who gave us helpful advice. All in all we felt the holiday could not have been any better in terms of a beautiful villa & pool, in a lovely location , with everything you could want to hand. Definitely a 5 star holiday. Do hope we get to go back another time.
We have visited Villa Loukia three years running now and I don't think we will ever tire of it. It is the most beautiful and well Equipped place we have ever stayed. We usually go in June which is baking hot so it was really nice to see it at a different time of year. We still had a few days round the beautiful pool and the weather was still warm. We did a bit more exploring this time and visited Perithia, the oldest village in Corfu. The views were stunning and it was only just down the road from the villa. Well worth a visit but you need decent shoes as it's very hilly and stoney. We also spent a day in Roda walking along the beach and sitting in cafes. Janice's restaurant is still the best place to eat in Kassioppi and was a great favourite for my boyfriends father. We went there three times! This villa is such a delight. It is quiet and private but only 15 minutes walk from the centre of Kassioppi where you can find restaurants to suit all. If I could live there I would! We are going again this year and I am counting down the days!
Loukia is a well designed villa with marvelous views and is extremely well equipped. A great holiday destination for exploring North East Corfu.
This is our second year at the Villa Loukia. It remains one of the best villas we have ever stayed in. It is so comfortable and of high quality. Lucy is always extremely helpful and nothing is any trouble. Her local representative, Julia is equally as helpful. The Villa is situated in an ideal location and has the best views! We already miss it! Highly recommended.
We recently had a 2 week stay in Villa Loukia in Kassiopi, Corfu, and I can honestly say that we were not disappointed by any aspect of our stay. Everything is as described on the Owners Direct website- only better! If you also visit Lucy and Nicks own website- (villaloukia.com) you will get to know the house before you even get there, as we did. When we arrived it was like "cming home"- in a way- and what a "home"! Absolutely beautiful, from the front gates to the barbecue area, and everything in between, both inside and out. If you are thinking of visiting Corfu, -Kasiopi is an excellent place to base yourselves, and Villa Loukia is an excellent place to stay. Do yourselves a favour! Gribbo.
If you’re looking for a vacation rental in Corfu, Greece that has it all, then look no further. We’ve (our family of 5-kids ages 5, 13, 14) just returned from an incredible week in Villa Loukia. As a family that has stayed in 14 different vacation rentals, from condos to villas throughout the Caribbean, Europe, & Africa, we were absolutely impressed with every aspect of Villa Loukia. The Villa: Villa Loukia is beautiful, modern and is fully outfitted like a home, your home. When you first walk in, you can’t help but to notice that unlike other sterile vacation rentals, Villa Loukia is someone’s home. From books and games to spices in the kitchen, everything that you could need is there. We felt as if we’d walked into a relative’s home that we’d been asked to house sit. Every image of the villa that we saw on the website was 100% accurate, but the images fell short of the incredible beauty, privacy and tranquility you’ll feel as you sit in the comfortable deck chairs on the spacious second floor balcony overlooking the hillside, ocean and the coast of Albania. The bedrooms were spacious, the fans & A/C ensured comfort and having en-suite bathrooms in every room helped to add a little more privacy and less stress. The kitchen was the perfect size with everything we needed and then some. The policy of leaving behind what you don’t use, was welcome, as there was coffee, sugar, water, cream and a few beers when we arrived. The pool was immense and the shallow side provided a great area for our 5 y.o. to practice swimming, while out 13 y.o. played and our 14 y.o. swam laps. The outdoor cooking area was well appointed and helped us to transport back in time, as we cooked a few meals with groceries we’d picked up from Nikos Market down the road. The Area: Situated on the NE coast of Corfu, we found Villa Loukia to be perfectly located on the quiet hillside near Kassiopi. Every day we explored a different beach and restaurant that had been recommended on either Villa Loukia’s website or read board in the villa and were pleasantly surprised each and every day. Only 15-20 mins walking time to downtown Kassiopi, it was nice to be able to leave the car behind. Support: Lucy & Julia were always just a phone call or email away & answered our few questions immediately. Bottom Line: Of all the places we've stayed in our efforts to travel the world, this is the first rental property which is already calling us to return.
This was our second visit to Villa Loukia and we have already booked for our return in 2014! The villa is stunning and furnished with everything you could possibly need. We spent much of our time chilling by the pool as the weather was ideal - and enjoyed our nightly walks to the harbour in Kassiopi for dinner. The highlight for us is hiring a boat in Kalmari and spending the day visiting the small bays along the coast - with a picnic and a bottle of chilled wine! My idea of heaven! Can't wait to get back next year..... I would definitely recommend this property - secluded and yet walking distance to shops and harbour. Some great restaurants nearby - Lucy provides comprehensive information about bays to visit and places to eat.
Lovely relaxing villa. My husband and myself with two grown sons and partners had plenty of space. Spacious terraces and BBQ area. Very large pool with lovely views. Walkable into Kassiopi and not too high up a steep road up as many villas have on Corfu! Excellent bedrooms and bathrooms, all very well appointed. Nice touch is the Molton Brown toiletries and a hairdryer in each room! BBQ area great for evening dining. Kitchen also very well equipped with good quality crockery, cutlery and glassware. Also plenty of books and games for those cloudy days. Favourite restaurants include Taverna Galini at San Stephanos, the restaurant on the beach at Kerasia and Avalki Beach restaurant. A 20 min drive takes you to most of the best beaches in the NE area of Corfu. Nicos supermarket is a must for his fresh produce, homemade things and the great friendly service from him and his family. Couple of small problems were solved quickly, locally and so we would recommend Loukia for a group of 4 - 6 people. Privacy, quiet, relaxing and good quality villa. Immaculate when we arrived, but would have liked maid service once during our week stay (dont always want to be cleaning bathrooms/sweeping etc on holiday!). Description accurate and the owner and local manager provided very good service and information. Great holiday!
Villa Loukia - is wonderful. A beautiful villa with the most spectaculor views. It is well equipped with everything you need. The pool is well situated and is a very good size. Everything was as described and more. We enjoyed our evenings eating at the BBQ area or sitting upstairs taking in the views. Lucy, the owner, was extremely heplful and provided lots of excellent recommendations and advice on what to do and where to eat. The location of the Villa is excellent. It is a leisurely 15 minute walk to Kassiopi - with its bars and restaurants. We would certainly recommend this property.
A perfect holiday for us all. The villa itself, location, and most of all the stunning views were just what we expected and more. The villa is comfortable, to a high standard and well equipped. The finishing touches and luxury towels, all helped to make our holiday most enjoyable. The location was peaceful and quiet, yet a short walk into Kassiopi, where there are plenty of taverna's and bars, was ideal. A plus, especially for the young adults in our party. There is something for all ages at villa Loukia. For us the spectacular views across to Albania will forever be our lasting memory. Would love to return again...hopefuly very soon.
5* Accommodation - everything has been thought of. Brilliant weather - 28 degrees one day! Agni Taverna favourite place to eat and Agios Stephanos to visit.
Family from Germany commented: Nice villa, nice weather, nice holiday. One day with heavy rain. The rest of the week great weather. We slept by the pool the whole day. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We felt very at home when we arrived at Villa Loukia. The mountains were shrouded in mist, cloud and torrential rain. By Monday we could see the most beautiful view from the balcony - and so the good weather continued. Visited some of your suggested haunts and we can endorse them all. Enjoyed the boat trip to Corfu Town. A very peaceful and enjoyable holiday.
Thank you Lucy for being so accommodating and allowing us to arrive at the fabulous Villa Loukia early hours of the morning (5am!) - didn't go to bed so had a fabulous view of the sun rising. Have really enjoyed our stay. The villa is very homely and welcoming. We were lucky with the weather, had a thunderstorm one morning, but loved watching it from the balcony. Can recommend the supermarket of Nikos' who bundled all 5 of us in his van and delivered us along with our shopping back to the villa. Had a lovely meal at Janis Restaurant watching the sun go down. Now reluctantly we head home. One of the best holidays we've had - really feel chilled out.
Our first time in Corfu and we were not disappointed. The Villa is beautifully finished, luxurious, comfortable, spacious, well thought out and clean. Perfectly positioned with fantastic views. Just a short walk to the local supermarket to stock up as you won't want to leave, but if you would like to eat out a vast number of tavernas and restaurants cater for all tastes.
We would recommend Villa Loukia to all our family and friends and indeed anyone wanting to get away from it all.
This was our first time in Corfu and what a great introduction to this wonderful Island - staying in Villa Loukia! It surpassed expectations - a really fantastic property with so many great outside areas to make the most of our stay. It was really difficult to tear ourselves away from the Villa to explore this beautiful part of the Island. The property is furnished to a really high standard with many lovely touches - and great to have wifi! The pool is a good size and was cleaned twice while we were there. We particularly loved evenings on the upper terrace enjoying wine and the spectacular views. A good walk to Kassiopi - or the wonderful Nikos supermarket -if you need some exercise! Our best day was hiring a boat from Kalami and discovering the many coves along that part of the coast - swimming in the turquoise sea - my idea of heaven! We were given many great recommendations for eating - Harry's is a must! So much choice but Agni with it's 3 Tavernas was probably our favourite. Corfu town is fabulous and well worth a visit - so overall I would rate this experience very highly and we have already booked to return next year!
We have just returned from the Villa Loukia and had a truly wonderful stay. Ahead of arriving the owners were so prompt, helpful and friendly with not just advising us of the essential information but going the extra mile to recommend places to visit etc. The villa is immaculate with character, charm and everything you could dream of needing. All bedrooms were comfy, relaxing and spotless and all had a fantastic view from what ever balcony door you were opening.
The outside space is fantastic with heaps of space to choose from and a choice of where to prepare a greek feast! Our favourite spot was the top baloney where we enjoyed breakfast every morning looking out to the unforgettable view. The town of kassipoi has many lovely restaurants, bars and the people are very friendly. The local supermarket (Nikkos) helps you pick up and delivers (If you would like them to!) fresh fish, meats and home made greek dishes.
The group I travelled with ranged in age from 21- 25 years old and we had the most fabulous time. I could easily go out there with any age range of my family its so universal. The weather was a little up and down because we went just before the season starts but it did not hinder our stay.
The unique villa that is finished to such a high standard yet and provides brilliant immenties and spectatular facilities but yet has a homely feel that will make your holiday unforgettable.
I've been back 1 day and we are already liaising with the owners to return this year
Villa Loukia is a gem of a villa situated in a very quiet location just outside the town of Kassiopi, and has the most amazing views over the olive groves towards Albania. From the moment we arrived we fell in love with it and had the most amazing 10 day relaxing holiday.Lucy, the owner, has created a truly wonderful villa with amazing attention to detail. It is beautifully furnished and lacks for nothing. we were particularly impressed with the fluffy white bath towels and wooden coat hangers in all rooms! The pool was kept very clean and some days we had to drag ouselves away from the inviting hammock and sun loungers that surrounded the pool. The outside eating and relaxing areas were amazing, we counted no less than 7 different areas. There was always somewhere for the nightly game of cards and gin and tonic whilst watching glorious sunsets. This was a villa in a million and quite simply, beautiful.
Wonderful week. Villa was everything I'd hoped for: as lovely as it looked in the photos and very well equipped right down to quality handwash in the bathrooms and bottles of water in the fridge awaiting us on arrival. Without doubt the best equipped and well laid-out villa we've ever stayed in - everything looked new and spotlessly clean and everything worked (not always the case in rented accommodation abroad or indeed in the UK). Owner extremely helpful before we went answering lots of questions - booking was easy and it was good to know that there was an agent in Corfu we could have contacted if need be (there was no need in the event). Lovely pool and lots of places to sit to get views/sun/shade at various times of the day. There were six of us, age range 18yrs to 60yrs and the situation was perfect as the four members of the party who were under 25 were able to walk into Kassiopi whenever they felt like it without having to drive or be driven (bit of a hike back up the hill but not too bad and you can always jump straight into the pool to cool down once you get back to the villa!) We booked two small hire cars through the villa owner's agent in Corfu before we went out and that all worked well: they were waiting for us at the airport as arranged. Nearby Nikos supermarket was great as was another we found at Sinies - such friendly and helpful owners. Nikos can provide food ready prepared for bbqs and he is open just about all the time it seemed! Recommend Harrys Taverna a few miles on the road north out of Kassiopi - very reasonable, masses of food and nice owner who gave us a free course of fresh fruit plus a local liquer at the end of the meal. We loved our drive up into the hills to Old Perithia - there are several tavernas here and it gives you a taste of "old Greece", road wasn't too scarey. We hired a boat for a day at Avlaki beach - good for exploring little beaches unreachable by car. Another time hired a pedalo at Kerasia. Evening boat trip from Kassiopi to Corfu was fun although the boat was pretty uncomfortable and quite expensive. However, worth it to be able to explore Corfu town and not have to drive all the way there or have to find parking. Nice sandy beach was Ag. Spiridonas, north of Kassiopi, good waves for bodyboarding on a windy day. Wish we could have had another week to do more exploring especially inland - would love to return to Villa Loukia one day. It is very special.
We completely fell in love with the villa. I sometimes sat out on the balcony late at night listening to Skops owl and looking at the stars and thinking it was the most idyllic place imaginable. The views really are spectacular, at any time of day.
The owners have been so clever with all they have done. The layout is just ideal - the barbecue area was popular with everyone and the tiny balcony outside the master bedroom was popular with the teenagers, who liked to go up and grab the last of the sunshine, lying next to each other like sardines! The sun loungers are incredibly comfy and the pool was blissfully large and was always full of people. Being able to walk to and from Kassiopi was SUCH a boon (and so rare - ideal for teenagers). Everything the owners said about the villa was true, and the info in there was just so helpful re tavernas etc. Beforehand we had some correspondence about car hire and so on, and Lucy was fantastically efficient about responding to every query with the utmost speed.
There is masses of space in the house, meaning that everybody can find a peaceful spot. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped, and the eating area works really well. If anything, the villa was even more wonderful than it looked on the website.
We recommend the villa wholeheartedly, although rather reluctantly as we are nervous about too many people discovering how special it is!. We all absolutely LOVED it.
We've just returned from a marvelous 2 weeks at Villa Loukia. The house was everything we had hoped for; a perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. The views are stunning and we spent many an evening relaxing on the upper balcony just watching the coast of Albania. Kassiopi Harbour has a great selection of restaurants as do the surrounding towns and villages. A boat trip to Agni for dinner at the Taverna was a high-light of our holiday.
We found the property to be very clean and well maintained. The swimming pool is large and also well maintained with plenty of sunbeds and space to sunbathe! The owner was very helpful and happy to answer all my questions as were the team on the ground. The owner recommended a car hire firm who were very easy to deal with and we had no issues with them at all.
I would certainly recommend this villa and would look to go back myself without hesitation.
Villa Loukia is fabulous. This is definitely the best holiday we have had ever. The owners have thought of everything. The quality of the property is 5 star. If you are looking for a quiet but quality holiday this is definitely the place to go. Beautiful furniture and a beautiful villa with fabulous views. If you want to self cater you will find everything you need in the well equipped kitchen. The local friendly supermarket is only a 5-10 minute walk away and you will find pretty much everything you need at a reasonable price. When we went they even offered to deliver our groceries for us! We found the supermarkets in Kassioppi to be slightly more expensive. There is a lovely B-B-Q area for eating and chilling out at night but i have to say my favourite area was the balcony outside the master bedroom with comfortable seating overlooking the sea and Albania. If you want to go into town for food and entertainment we tried a different restaurant every night and never had a bad meal. I can recommend Janis's which is a bit more pricey but well worth it and the Italian restaurant on the right hand side as you walk down to the town, although the portions are not huge so would recommend you have more than one course. We took my father with us who holidays abroad a lot and he thought it was the most relaxing holiday he'd ever had and by far the best quality. I would highly recommend this villa and we will certainly be looking to return as i think we would find it hard to find a property to match it.
We landed at corfu airport just after a storm, which did'nt bother us as it was the start of our holiday. The hire car was waiting for us , so off we go on our way to the villa (or so we thought ), as we had mislaid the directions sheet. After first turning the wrong way out of the airport, we turned around and headed towards Corfu town, after about half an hour in traffic and we think going around in circles we remembered that if we headed for the sea and kept it on the right hand side , it would take us to Kassiopi. This worked fine, so as we came into town we looked out for Nikos supermarket, hung a left, up the hill to the villa. Brill we have arrived. Not brill, did'nt have the key code. Contacted Julia who was very helpful, and were in!. We soon put all this behind us when we looked around the villa and saw how very clean, comfortable, and well equipped it was for our 2 wk.stay.The first 3 days we had thunder & lightning storms on and off so we could'nt get out to the pool area, we choose to go out and about in the car, we visited the ghost town up in the hills, Sidari ( a bigger resort, but not as quaint as kassiopi ), and small remote beaches on the way. The weather then changed, and we could then get around the pool and start working on our tans. We did, for a few days have a problem with wasps & hornets, this was due to a greek guy chainsawing logs off the olive trees, which disturbed them. However, this did'nt last for long, and Nikos at the supermarket recommended that we burn greek coffee in silver foil cartons when we were eating or drinking outside. This to our suprise worked! and is a good tip for others to do. They are so friendly and helpful, and stock more than the other supermarkets, we used them all the time. We have had a wonderful holiday and would like to thank Lucy & Rick for the use of their home in Corfu.
My wife and I spent 8 great days here this August, with our teenage daughter and 3 of her friends. The villa is very well designed, finished and equipped to a high standard and has everything you need (except Sky Sports !). The view across the olive groves and the sea to Albania is wonderful and the upstairs (taken by the girls as "their space") or downstairs terraces ("for parents") are great places to look at it. The centre of Kassiopi is ideal - it has the right mix of traditional tavernas and livelier bars (most with Sky Sports) - and 10-15 mins walk from the villa. We were (reasonably) hapy to let the girls go "clubbing" until early hours and walk home. Greece seemed cheaper than the UK and pretty good value. Nikos supermarket is reasonable and certainly adequate for most needs. We spent a lot of time at Kalamaki beach as it's sandy and shallow. Avlaki also appealed. There are some dreadul places towards Corfu town (e.g. Dassia) but girls enjoyed Aqualand while we went to Palekastritsa - very pretty spot with picturesque beaches. The locals were the most welcoming I have ever come across outside Thailand. Would definitely go back to this villa.
PS not a cloud seen, 28-35oC all week
Just back from two weeks in Villa Loukia. It's a beautiful property with stunning views. The house is very well equipped and maintained and the owners couldn't be more helpful. This was our second stay and it's a great place for parents and teenagers with easy access to Kassiopi, beaches and restaurants.
We would thoroughly recommend Villa Loukia for all ages - we enjoyed a truly relaxing family holiday. (We are a couple with 18 yr old daughter & boyfriend + 21 yr old son).
The villa, garden pool & terraces were exactly as pictured on the website, but the views were even better. We never tired of watching the silhouettes of the hills both near & far layered behind each other in the morning haze, changing with the day & evening light - these views would be hard to beat.
Lucy & Rick supplied everything we needed to enjoy our evening cocktails on the terrace before heading into town for dinner. (We didn't even have to take ipod speakers or poker chips!)
This part of the Corfu coastline is particularly attractive & Kassiopi itself has everything you need for a holiday. The harbour is pretty with a great range of restaurants & cocktail bars - we didn't have a bad meal in two weeks, eating out each night (mostly in Kassiopi, plus1 night in Corfu town after a boat trip & once in Agios Stephanos where we stopped on the sunset cruise - recommend Fagopotion : go for the owner's selection or Eucalyptus where we had a delicious lunch - do try the artichokes). The best vine leaves were in Kassiopi Star(family owned for many years) & the other Greek specials are delicious too, but our 2 favourites allowed us to watch the sunset & the beautiful sky which followed : Janis & Trilogia. Agni & Kaloura are also fabulous bays to stop for lunch with views. Back in Kassiopi the little garden restaurant on the road into town, leading to the harbour was also particularly good though it doesn't have the views. To Kyma serve delicious fish as does Uncle Simon's.
Louisa at Kalami is so nice if you're looking for watersports & the family who own Nikos supermarket are lovely.
Great holiday - thank you for your attention to detail Lucy & Rick.
We couldn't have picked a better villa for 4 females to spend a week alone in!It was a special birthday and this villa catered for everything we needed.
The rooms are decorated very tastefully and the views from them are stunning.
The villa has everything you could imagine and spotlessly clean -even the kitchen has utensils in it we had never seen before! If you should be unlucky enough to have bad weather while there-books,dvd's and games are even supplied for you.
The local supermarket know Lucy and her family and went out of their way to make us feel part of that too-we didn't have a car so they gave us several lifts up the road with our shopping. They also sell amazing fish and meat if you want to have a BBQ at the Villa.
Kassiopi itself is a pleasant 20 minute walk away-we even did this late at night-it is very safe-though a torch is recommended for the last part of the journey.
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the village offering a wide variety of food to suit all tastes.Several supermarkets to choose from also if you want to cook at the the Villa.
You can go many boat or bus trips from Kassiopi and there are several tourist agencies to go to who are very friendly and will organise these for you-they also do car hire.
We decided to spend a lot of time at Villa Loukia as it was so amazing. The pool was especially inviting on the days we had very hot weather. The sunbeds were very comfortable and you could find shade around the pool as the villa is surrounded by olive groves.
We would highly recommend Villa Loukia to family and friends and hope to stay there again one day.
We hire Villas every year, and this Villa is one of the best we have been to. It is very private, and quiet, yet is only 10 minutes walk into Kassiopi Town where the Restaurants are, so did not use the car in the evening. The Villa was high quality, very clean quiet air con, and fans.
The Pool is great for kids and our 6 and 10 year olds loved it. As it is 10 mtre which is rare for Greece you can do some serious swimming if you wish.
I would highly recommend the Villa and the area, there are so many beaches (pebbly or sandy) to choose from. Kalamaki Beach is great for young kids as it is so shallow and warm. The Restuarants in Kassiopi are very good as well and not expensive.
We had a wonderful holiday and I would definitely recommend it to anyone and we will return and would now not stay anywhere else if visiting Corfu.
Lucy the owner is very friendly and well organised.
This was my first trip to Corfu and indeed to Greece. My first impression was very good. The location of the Villa and the countryside around did not disappoint. There were facilities and beaches quite close by. With the use of a car, we were able to visit a variety of resorts and generally explore the island. Not wanting crowds, I particularly appreciated the privacy of the villa and the relative seclusion of the beaches nearby.
I was most taken however with the villa itself. A place to completely relax in, to switch off from 'normal life'. It is beautifully situated and comfortably furnished. The house is clean and modern while blending in well with its traditional surroundings. The BBQ, pool and balconies all add to the luxury holiday lifestyle.
Finally, the main memory I retain of Villa Loukia is gazing from the balcony or the pool at the ever changing view of the sea and distant lands.
