Description

This beautiful, refurbished (completed February 2016), well-mainitained, individual five bed-roomed villa with heated swimming pool and hot tub is in a quiet part of Lajares. Whilst private it is not isolated, nor on an estate, nor overlooked — perfect for the quiet life or for those who prefer not to wear clothes. It has its own parking within the grounds (close to the front door, flood lit at night), all surrounded by mature pine trees. If you look at the reviews you will see that this villa is perfect for multi-generation families or up to five couples looking for very high standard accommodation.

The L-shaped design and surrounding trees makes it sheltered from the wind — lots of sun and shade, take your pick.

The house is a gentle ten minute walk from the bars, restaurants and shops of Lajares. It is just a few minutes’ drive from superb beaches to the west, north and east, and also the resort of Corralejo.

The price quoted includes 24% tax and (recently added) 7% IGIC (VAT); a weekly clean; the pool heated to at least 27.5c; the hot tub heated to 37c; pool towels; and 'up to' 600 Mbps fibre internet connection straight into the house (normally at least 380Mbps, but this is not guaranteed, but still plenty if you do need to work whilst on vacation; and for TV streaming services).

We do NOT charge extra for school holidays; the rate remains the same all year around. However, we do offer a special couples-only rate.

BEDROOMS and BATHROOMS

All the bedrooms have been refurbished and decorated in February 2016 — including new high-quality beds, bedding and bedside lights. The bathrooms have all been completely refurbished with new tiles, furniture, mirrors and lighting; the windows are fitted with fly screens.

The main house has a twin and double bedroom on the ground floor with a shared bathroom and over-bath shower. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with en suite, walk-in shower and wonderful views.

The two separate pool bedrooms on the ground floor (a double and a twin) are both en-suite with walk-in showers — both have double doors (with fly screens) overlooking the pool. PLEASE NOTE: These two bedrooms are not part of the main house, and accessed directly from the pool deck, so may not be suitable for children on their own.

All double beds are European King-sized (160cms x 200cms). The single beds are 90cms x 200cms). All beds have high quality mattresses. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and opening windows with fly screens.

KITCHEN and UTILITY ROOM
The kitchen and utility room are both brand new at February 2016 — and well-equipped with plenty of new crockery, cutlery and glasses. Includes everything you should need including the (twin) kitchen sink — there is an electric induction hob (with extractor fan), fan oven with grill, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster, coffee machine, electric kettle, juicer, blender and two (yes two!) full size dishwashers. We have provided plenty of utensils and pans so you can cook for ten people. Off the kitchen is a small utility room with 8Kgs washing machine and a wine / drinks refrigerator.

LIVING AREAS
The central open plan communal area has a dining table for up to 10 people — with views through bi-fold doors over the pool deck and surrounding hills.
The separate lounge has four leather sofas, a wood burner (which you won’t need very often), ceiling fan, a large flat screen HD television, DVD/BluRay player (and selection of discs). HDMI cable for connection to your own devices.

OUTSIDE
The heated pool (27.5C) is 8m x 4m with built in steps and handrail. Depth varies from 0.8m to 1.6m. The pool heater has just been upgraded. The pool uses the new salt-type cleansing system, this is not chlorine-free, but the reduction of irritating chloramines versus traditional chlorinating methods and the 'softening' effect of electrolysis reducing dissolved alkali minerals in the water are perceived as major benefits. For some people that have sensitivities to chlorine, these systems certainly can reduce eye stinging and other unwanted effects.

The separate hot tub is kept at about 37C, perfect for relaxing after a hard days relaxing. It seats five people, or six if you really know each other!

There are eight sunbeds, two outside tables and ten chairs. The main table seats ten for al fresco dining. The L-shaped design of the house and surrounding trees makes it sheltered from the wind. Lots of choice of sun or shade, take your pick.

There is a full size charcoal barbecue with all the tools (but please supply your own charcoal. PLEASE NOTE: Cleaning the barbecue and disposing of ash is your responsibility).

Garden lighting creates a wonderful effect at night time. There are two levels of outside lighting depending upon what you want to do. The outside lights are additionally controlled by remote key fobs — which means if you return after dark you can switch on the lights.

All lights are LED, saving energy. Roof mounted solar panels heat the hot water — with electrical back-up for when not up to temperature.

A great place, shared by 5 couples for a two week stay

A very well equipped villa, clean and well maintained, regular visits from Barney who looked after the pool and hot tub made full use of the BBQ Comfortable beds with good bath rooms. Secluded and private terrace with a great pool and hot tub. We are booked to return next time with our family 6 Adults and 3 under 3 grand children A comfortable walk into the village for a selection of bars and restaurants With 10 of us we drove into Corralejo leaving the 2 cars and getting taxes back used the other car to collect ours the next morning, at a cost around 20 euros per cab. Good WiFi and TV A small torch is very useful when arriving after dark or walking back after the pub Good communication with the owner Thank you

Family Holiday

Spacious well equipped villa in a quiet residential area. We had a great relaxing family holiday. Nice size swimming pool and jacuzzi which was welcomed as it was very hot in Fuerteventura during our stay.

Die Rosa-de-Laguna-Villa ist sehr schön gelegen am Rande von Lajares und bietet mit der schattenspendenden Bepflanzung einen insgesamt tollen Komfort für bis zu zehn Personen. Wir, meine Frau und ich, haben dort mit unseren sechs (Schwieger-)Kindern und den fünf Enkelkindern einen wunderbaren, vierwöchigen Urlaub verbracht. Die Belegung des Landhauses lag maximal bei neun Personen, wobei während dieser Zeit das Alter der Jüngsten gerade mal 4, 7 und 8 Jahre betrug. Die Osterferien in Deutschland beschränkten den Aufenthalt für die schulpflichtigen Kinder mit ihren Eltern auf maximal zwei Wochen, in der letzten Woche waren meine Frau, ihre Freundin und ich nur zu dritt in dem sehr gut ausgestatteten Landhaus. Wegen der großzügigen Zimmeraufteilung nebst der Anzahl der Bäder und der gesamten Einrichtung konnten sich die einzelnen Parteien auch zeitweise zurückziehen. Mit zwei angemieteten Wagen konnten wir die nähere Umgebung gut nutzen, das Wetter erlaubte uns auch längere Strandaufenthalte in El Cotillo (La Concha Bucht) und am Naturpark in der Nähe der Riu-Hotels bei Corralejo. Mit mehreren Tagesfahrten wurde der Süden von Fuerteventura inklusive der Westküste und Betancuria erkundet. Die Fährverbindung von Corralejo nach Lanzerote erlaubte es, auch diese Insel zu "erfahren" (Timanfaya, Fundación César Manrique). Die gastronomischen Hinweise des Gastgebers haben wir befolgt und bestätigen sie im Nachhinein gerne. Es waren wunderschöne vier Wochen für uns alle!!
