Casa Raposeira is a 4 bedroomed house with swimming pool, set in beautiful gardens, on a rural hillside in the much sought after area of Calicos, just 2km from the lovely little town of Moncarapacho. With its 1/2 acre landscaped gardens containing mature palms, carob, fig, orange and numerous shrubs interspersed with lawns, this is a perfect place to relax, enjoy the stunning countryside and sea views and for children to play. There is a further 2 acres of rough scrub land providing privacy. The 9m x 5m pool is surrounded by an ample terrace with a large BBQ and a very attractive covered dining area for those balmy evenings! The property is approximately 25 minutes from Faro airport.
The house has all home comforts including mosquito screens, fans and an open stone fireplace for the cooler months. On the ground floor is the very well-equipped kitchen with breakfast room, sitting room, dining room and two bedrooms with bathrooms. On the first floor are a further two bedrooms with balconies having superb views. All bedrooms have mattress protectors and have either a shower room or bathroom. There are ample recliners, parasols and patio furniture. A weekly maid service is provided including linen and towels, but please bring your own beach towels.
There is an great choice of restaurants and shops just 3 minutes drive in Moncarapacho and an array of gorgeous beaches within 10-15 minutes drive. To spoil yourself Vila Monte Hotel is a short walk away and provides an excellent restaurant and bars. Take a torch for the walk back! There is a very good choice GOLF courses close by including Benamore, Castro Marim, Quinta de Cima and Quinta de Ria all within 25 minutes. Tennis is available within 1/2km at the Vila Monte.
There is plenty to do from here including the beaches, lovely walks from the property in the surrounding hills, visits to Olhao and its fascinating fish market. Visit the old town of Tavira or Castro Marim and, of course, Faro itself. There is a house book in the property which has many suggestions as well as maps etc.
Changeover day is Thursday and we ask that tenants leave by 10.00am on the morning of departure and not to arrive earlier than 3.00pm on arrival day to allow the staff to clean the property. We ask for a 50% deposit to secure the booking, the remainder to be paid one month before arrival.
