Overview
Description
The exquisite Villa Zephyros is named after the wind deity “Zephyros”, who in ancient times embodied the mild west wind and was worshipped as a harbinger of spring. No other name could be more appropriate for this beautiful villa that is nestled in the green valley of Pylaros, where a mild breeze from the western Myrtos Beach cools the air pleasantly in the afternoon, even on hot summer days. Sitting on the terrace, enjoying the rural idyll and the stunning views over the valley and the Ionian Sea is a joy. Villa Zephyros is the harbinger of an unforgettable holiday. This amazing villa has been built to a very high standard, exclusively designed and luxuriously furnished. In a living space of 210 sqm, it can accommodate 8-10 guests and is ideal for a large family holiday or a group of friends.
On the 1st floor there are 3 air-conditioned, individually decorated bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms (each with WC, shower) and hair dryer:
One double bedroom with a king size bed and French doors leading to a large covered terrace with amazing views over the valley of Pylaros, plus a second set of French doors leading to a balcony.
The second bedroom has a king size bed and the third bedroom has twin beds, which can be converted to a super king size bed. The second and third bedrooms share a large covered terrace with stunning views.
The fourth air-conditioned bedroom is on the pool level and has a double bed and French doors leading to the extensive pool area. (Due to safety reasons, it is strongly recommended that children do not sleep alone without an adult person in this room). This bedroom has its own separate wet room and separate WC.
On the ground floor there is a large superbly equipped kitchen – perfectly suitable for keen cooks – with adjacent dining area and smart TV, a stylish furnished living room with wood burning fire and a comfortable TV room with 35” plasma smart TV and sofa bed, which can accommodate 2 further guests. Two pairs of French doors lead from the living room to a large terrace with Moroccan style table and pergola with stunning views over the pool and the valley of Pylaros. There is also a guest WC and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
Next to the 4th bedroom on the pool level is the paradise for the little ones: their own playroom with children’s toys and games.
The highlight of Villa Zephyros is the large private swimming pool (11m x 5.5m) with a constant depth of 1.4m (heating available on request and at the extra cost of 110 €/day*), surrounded by a vast sunbathing terrace, a shaded dinging area with a table seating 10, a very well equipped pool side kitchen with two fridges, dishwasher, and a Weber mobile gas barbecue. Comfortable sun loungers invite you to relax or for the more active ones there is an outside table tennis provided. There are several seating areas providing both, sun and shade. The views are breathtaking either down the valley or over Agia Efimia to the sea and the Island of Ithaca.
The stunning Villa Zephyros benefits from its perfect location: secluded, peaceful, and private but within easy walking distance to the popular Agia Efimia with a large selection of friendly tavernas, cafés, bars, shops, bakeries, supermarkets, a good butcher also offering delicious local cheese specialities, boat and car rental, diving school. All this is a breath away from the villa. A car is only necessary for exploring the island, which is also worthwhile.

A truly memorable family holiday in a fantastic villa!
By Jane & Rob on 23-May-2026We had a wonderful time with our family of 9 (6 adults and our 3 grandchildren aged 7, 4 & 1). We were welcomed on arrival by lovely George who showed us all around the amazing Villa and made it clear he was always on hand if needed. He even brought a chocolate icecream cake for us all to enjoy on my birthday! A true gent, with a great sense of humour! The villa itself is so spacious, the photos do not do it justice. It was the most well equipped villa we have ever stayed in, we took a little milk frother but didn’t need to as they actually had one! All couples had their own bathrooms and even a playroom for the little ones which went down a treat. It was spotlessly clean throughout and the cleaner did a great job too. We all loved the huge pool, luckily we were able to pay for the pool to be heated a couple of days prior to our arrival, but the sun kept it warm for the rest of our stay. Plenty of room for lots of inflatables as well as all of us. We had a couple of barbecues and the outdoor kitchen was as well equipped as the main kitchen! We used the local butchers for meat and fish which was delicious. Table tennis tournaments kept us entertained too! Agia Efimia itself is stunning, a 10 minute walk into the village where there are lots of fabulous restaurants and the harbour. Carry on walking along the harbour to more fab tavernas, pretty little pebble beaches, beautiful clear blue sea and picture postcard views. There’s plenty to do if you want to sightsee. We didn’t have a car but taxis are readily available. We did hire a boat which was great fun and visited some little coves/beaches accessible only by boat. However, mostly we preferred to enjoy the beautiful local surroundings of the villa, pool and Agia Efimia. We enjoyed 11 magnificent days and would have no hesitation recommending. Just to add, prior to arrival communication back and forth to the agent Lida was first class, nothing was too much trouble. A great and truly memorable stay.. thank you.

We had a fantastic time in Agia Efimia.
By Daniel H. on 07-Oct-2025We had a fantastic time in Agia Efimia - the port is a short walk away and just our kind of resort. Excellent shops to buy food for the BBQ or many lovely restaurants to chose from, and a couple of cocktail bars. We ate out often including Sami a short drive away. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fish (much better than Scala in 2021 where there was none!), but all the food was delicious. The villa was perfect for 7 of us with lots of seating and space. The pool / patio / eating / BBQ area was huge with fantastic views across the valley. The bedrooms were a good size with en-suites, the master with its own terrace. Everyone was happy and no-one felt as though they had the worst room because they were all good. Georgiou (George) was on hand for an issues and is a lovely gentleman, as was the cleaner Katarina, who looked after us wonderfully. We would highly recommend the villa as 10/10, Kefalonia, and the area is a good base to explore the rest of the island. We hired a car for the two weeks and branched out to Poros, Sami, Agostoli, Assos and Fiskado. There are caves not far away which are worth a visit.
Fantastic stay at Vlla Zephyros
By Joy Brett on 03-Sep-2025We arrived at Villa Zephyros late at night and were met by George who welcomed us and showed us round the villa. We were initially very impressed by the spaciousness and quality of the villa, and pleased to have a comprehensive 'welcome pack' of food and drink to start us off. We stayed for 10 days as a family of 5; as 4 of us were over 70 and had various walking difficulties between us we did find the walk back up to the villa a little too much in the heat so resorted to the use of taxis which worked out fine. We had a great holiday, the villa was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need - high quality linen, lots of kitchen ware and cooking utensils too. The cleaning lady did a very thorough job twice during our visit. Our only slightly negative comment would be that there is no air conditioning downstairs and the bedroom units did not seem very powerful. This is just our opinion of course. The outside area is beautiful, with stunning views and the very large pool was kept immaculately clean unobtrusively. The outdoor kitchen was great too. A special mention must also be given to George, who was always on hand if needed and was quick to attend to any small issues we had in a friendly but not intrusive manner. Overall we had a wonderful holiday and would recommend Villa Zephyros to anyone wanting a spacious private villa in a beautiful part of Kefalonia.
Owner response on 26-Sep-2025
Thank you so much for your review and your kind words. This will be very helpful for us and other travellers. We understand that the walk to the center of Agia Efimia may be more challenging for guests with reduced mobility, and we are always happy to provide tips on nearby transport options. Regarding the air conditioning, we appreciate your feedback. The units in the bedrooms will be checked to ensure they work as efficiently as possible. As for the living room, installing an additional unit would not be very effective, since the cooling only works well when all doors and windows are closed – which is quite difficult in a space with direct access to the pool terrace. For this reason, we chose to focus on keeping the bedrooms comfortably cool for a good night’s rest. We will explore ways to make the living room more comfortable during warmer days. Thank you once again for staying with us and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again.
A fabulous villa in an equally fabulous location
By Lucy Y on 18-Aug-2025We rented the villa as a family of 7, including a 12 year old, a 14 year old & grandparents. It worked perfectly inside & out. Location-wise, it perfect too! It was so quiet, but was only a leisurely 10 minutes walk into town. The only noise we really heard was goat bells! George was the perfect host - so welcoming! He made us feel like we’d known him for ages. Well definitely be back 😊
