Fabulous villa with amazing views!
By Annette Fox on 27-Jun-2023We were a family of 9 celebrating my mum’s 90th!!! and grandson’s 2nd birthdays. What a week! The villa had everything we needed to make our holiday so memorable. It is up a hill, hence the most beautiful views of the sea. It is close to restaurants and supermarkets- but it helps having a car to get up and down the hill. Thank you to Sue and Marinela who answered any questions before and during our stay.
SUN, SKALA AND SUE
By Daisy, South West on 26-Aug-2013From the time of booking to the holiday itself, nothing was too much trouble for the owners. We had a problem getting a flight for the Sunday arrival, which Sue immediately helped to rectify. Thank you. The villa itself is amazing and the photos do not do it justice. In our party there was people age ranged from 8 up to 67 and everything in between - something for everyone. There were 10 in out party and the villa was so spacious that no one ever felt on top of each other. The games room was a godsend for the kids, and the iPod player poolside was genius :) Would definitely recommend hiring a car if you stay here with anyone with mobility problems, or for the fitter guests, the main resort itself is only a short taxi ride or 15 mins walk. Trish and Phil who look after the villa on a daily basis were brilliant - so helpful, and again, nothing was too much trouble. They almost felt like friends towards the end. Towels and linen changed twice a week, and the pool cleaned at the same time. Villa was spotless and well cared for. Dishwasher and washing machine meant home comforts on holiday which was useful with a young family. Have recommended Villa Medea to all our friends and family, and would recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious villa on a truly stunning Greek Island. BRILLIANT FAMILY HOLIDAY
By Mandy St Albans on 29-Aug-2013The villa is perfect for a family gathering. There were 11 of us, 3 generations ranging from over 60 down to five. Everyone had a wonderful week. It was lovely just lazing by the good sized well maintained infinity pool and gazing out at the amazing view. The villa is very peaceful and private with a large garden and colourful shrubs in bloom when we were there. The villa itself was very spacious and comfortable, large kitchen, plenty of bathrooms and a large living room with lots of sofas. We spent most of the time at pool level where there is a well equipped games room where you can play your own music (which can be heard from the pool area if the door is open), a large outdoor dining table and chairs, a BBQ and even a pizza oven. You need a car to get to the local beach, local restaurants and local supermarket/shops, you can walk but hard going up the hill coming back. 5 minute drive to the centre of Scala. We had clean linen half way through the week and the villa was well maintained by a local English couple who made us feel very welcome and were very helpful. You could spend all week at the villa but we did go to some beautiful beaches, some did a kayak day trip and some even climbed Mount Aenos! The beaches we went to were pebbly, no sand but the water was crystal clear and warm. In terms of very young children the villa floors are tiled and there are two flights of stairs which are marble. Our 5 year old grandson was fine but it would not be easy with very small children or toddlers. Having said that, no holiday is easy with very small children or toddlers! The local supermarkets sell nearly everything but it may help to pack a few essentials for the first day or two e.g. tea, coffee, dishwasher tabs. We ate out at local restaurants and had BBQs, you could even buy ready made kebabs to cook at the 'meat market' in Scala. Everyone had a brilliant week, we would love to go back again. As a final comment we found the booking process and dealing with the owners directly clear and easy, lovely helpful thoughtful people. FABULOUS VILLA
By Helena B on 08-Oct-2013A lovely spacious property set up on a hill that looks down towards Skala, with excellent facilities and views. Perfect for families or groups of friends to have a bit of privacy and with the liveliness of Skala easily accessible The end of Skala beach is 500m walk down a steep hill and then the main road in Skala is a further 1.5km along the beach road so a car would be advisable. There are restaurants and a supermarket along the beach before you get to Skala. Review Submitted: 08-Oct-2013 Date of Stay: July 2013 Source: Owners Direct, from HomeAway
