“The cottage was excellent, with everything thought of and the owners are very welcoming.”

By Mrs Edwards on 21-Sep-2019

It is spotlessly clean and makes you feel as if you are the first people to stay in it.The welcome pack was a great addition, it was obviously given a lot of thought by Mike and Rebecca (the owners of the Cwtch) . The general area is outstandingly beautiful with some lovely places to explore. It is a wildlife lovers dream, with lots of lovely walks and drives and many little villages to explore. The area is also steeped in history so fits well with different types of people of all ages. We would definately recommend The Cwtch and area to friends and family and hope to return ourselves in the near future.

By Mr Jeffery on 07-Sep-2019

There isn't anything you would wish for. The owners personally welcome you (not always the case in some holiday lets) and are only too please to help should you require assistance. Aultbea and the area surrounding area of Loch Ewe is a real jewel in the northern highlands.

“We read the reviews before we booked and what we found was what we expected and more.”

By Mr Willis on 17-Aug-2019

Small but spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and ideal for my wife with very limited mobility. Furnishing, fittings, equipment, are all top notch and nothing is missing. An adjoining laundry room has additional equipment for guest use if needed and can be used for storing cases and bags. Many extras ranging from a very generous welcome pack to protection from the dreaded midge and the hosts are always on hand with advice and information. They can be congratulated for their incredible attention to detail. 5 stars . H.& .M. Willis

A wee gem

By Fiona on 15-Aug-2019

The Cwtch is superb. Small, but perfectly formed. Everything has been done to the highest of standards and with great thought, care and attention to detail. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, and fresh bread, milk, butter, eggs, honey, jam and biscuits were waiting for us, along with tea, coffee, sugar, oil, herbs, spices, washing up liquid....all the things you would normally have to buy on arrival. Mike was very welcoming on arrival and Toby an absolute charmer. The bed and bed linen were good quality and great to sink into after a long day hill walking. The property is set to the side of the main house with a private seating area so you are neither overlooking or overlooked by anyone

“A delightful little gem”

By 284iaina on 16-Sep-2018

What a beautiful little holiday let. Incredibly comfortable and well equipped, in fact probably the BEST equipped holiday let I’ve ever seen!

Ideally located for good walks, stunning views and local attractions and activities. I utterly adore this cottage. Ideal for a solo traveler such as myself but equally perfect for a couple who want a quiet highland break.

The owner is wonderful, and extremely pleasant and welcoming.

Just perfection.

“Perfect stay in 'The Cwtch'.”

By Miss Malkin on 25-Aug-2018

This place is even better than the pictures, it had everything we needed and more (We were slightly worried about cooking in a small kitchen but when we got there it was more than enough). The area is beautiful, there is plenty to do and the scenery is breath taking. The hosts were wonderful, when we arrived after a 12 hour car journey there was a welcome package with bread, shortbread, eggs (from their own chickens) and even honey (from there own bees!), they were so helpful all throughout the week, even when we had trouble with our car. A highlight for us was defiantly being offered the chance to go and look at their bee's, it was an incredible experience. Thank you for everything!

Just Perfect!

By Liz S on 15-Aug-2018

Needing a break we booked The Cwtch for four nights. And it didn't disappoint. On arrival we were welcomed by Mike who showed us around and then left us to settle in. We instantly loved our wee cwtch! Yes.. It is cosy.. So if you are looking for huge rooms... Go elsewhere but if like us you just wanted somewhere cosy and romantic to relax in then The Cwtch is perfect. We loved the thoughtful touch of a tray filled with lovely bread and shortbread as well as Mike & Bex's (owners) home produced honey and jam and eggs! The honey is delicious! We bought more to bring home.
The Cwtch was incredibly well equipped and delightfully clean and cosy and is the perfect base to go exploring the local area for wildlife (otter... Deer.. Eagles.. So remember your cameras!)

“The Cwtch whilst petite was immaculately presented and clean and had everything a couple could wish for.”

By Mrs Mylchreest on 07-Aug-2018

There was much attention to detail and the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They had provided all the essentials but also some delicious local and home grown produce including eggs from their own hens, bread, honey from their own bees and tablet, biscuits, etc. Also a bunch of flowers that lasted all week and a lovely card. All this made us feel special and welcome. Aultbea was also an excellent base for a holiday with lots of beaches, sight-seeing sights and good for walking, cycling, golf & fishing. The Aultbea Hotel which provided meals was only a 5 min walk from the house. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation and destination.
