Fairfield House is a stylish and contemporary property great for smaller groups of 8/10 guests wanting a vacation in the heart of the Peak District. The location of Fairfield House is second to none, less than a mile walk and you are in the centre of the popular market town of Bakewell and in the opposite direction you can walk through the fields alongside the River Wye to the pretty village of Ashford in the Water famous for its medieval sheepwash bridge. The village is served by two well respected country pubs, The Bulls Head & The Ashford Arms, both are a great place to stop and sample a local ale.
The property is ideal for families, the fantastic open plan living area is the focal point of the property making cooking/dining and socialising together easy! The property also has a large lawned garden, so plenty of space for children to run around! There is a fantastic deck area for outdoor dining with wonderful views over the open countryside.
You are literally a short drive away from some of the Peak Districts famous attractions - Bakewell (2 minutes), Chatsworth House (5 mins), Haddon Hall (10 minutes), the historic spa town of Buxton (12 minutes) to name just a few.
The accommodation consists of five stylish decorated bedrooms, with all of the bedrooms (apart from the bunk bed room) having the flexibility of being king size or twin beds. Bedroom one is located on the ground floor with use of a WC next door. Located on the first floor is the master bedroom with en suite shower room, this room has wonderful far reaching views over the open countryside. There are two further bedrooms and also a bunk room with full size bunk beds. There is a beautiful finished shared bathroom with shower enclosure.
As mentioned the main focal point of this property is the modern open plan living space to the rear. The kitchen is stylish and is completed with a modern grey finish with a splash of colours to the walls! It is fully stocked with all the mod cons and equipment you would require for a self-catering holiday. The dining table can comfortable seat 10 guests, there is also a breakfast bar and stools for more informal meals. As well as the lounge area in the open plan living space which benefits from the luxury of having a log burning stove, there is also an additional lounge with a log burner (please bring your own logs) which is lovely peaceful space to unwind.

Our weekend prices in the busy season are for a 3 night stays from 3pm Friday to 10am Monday. We offer a set weekend price to give you the added flexibility of being able to relax and enjoy the property until as late as you like on the Sunday, even if you don't actually stay overnight till Monday morning.
Shorter mid week stays of 1 or 2 nights can be negotiated by arrangement. Payment can be made by card or BACS transfer.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept hen/stag parties or 30th birthday celebrations at this property.
