Description
Thatchview Cottage is a traditional Cornish cottage set in the charming hamlet of Trevelmond on the southern fringes of the stunning Bodmin Moor. It offers a great and well connected base to explore all that Cornwall has to offer being less than 5 minutes from both the A38 and the A390.
Able to comfortably accommodate up to x5 guests, it's both homely and welcoming. The thick stone walls and exposed beams provide all the character and charm you could want and expect of a Cornish cottage whilst the modern furnishings and amenities help ensure the most luxurious of stays.
The stunning inglenook fireplace together with its contemporary wood-burning stove presents a striking focal point to the lounge. The well-equipped kitchen/dining room with its welcoming and warming Rayburn range, is a great place for family meals and evenings spent relaxing together. Upstairs are three well-appointed bedrooms and a modern bathroom making this an ideal cottage for a family or friends looking to spend some quality time together.
Although tucked away off the beaten track, this tranquil hamlet is easily accessible from both the A38 route into Cornwall via Plymouth and the main A30 from Bodmin. Sandy beaches and the popular seaside town of Looe are within a 20 minute drive. Both the picturesque, estuary town of Fowey and the world famous delights of The Eden Project are within a 30 minute drive. Beautiful walks abound in the vicinity and if you’re a keen cyclist you should pay a visit to Cardinham Woods where some great cycle trails await you. Golitha Falls is also nearby and well worth a visit as the water cascades through a steep-sided gorge on the upper reaches of the River Fowey. It's absolutely spectacular and after your walk lunch at Inkie's Smokehouse is unlikely to disappoint.
