Welcome to Turnstones, a beautiful Grade II listed cottage in Boscastle, one of the most stunning locations in North Cornwall. One of only five cottages in the row, Turnstones is set high above the famous tidal harbour at Boscastle and enjoys day long sunshine from its secluded patio overlooking the water.
This traditional cottage has been lovingly restored and modernised in sympathy with its age and history. It has many original and reclaimed features including stripped wooden floors and a wood burning fire. With four bedrooms, a sitting room, separate dining room, kitchen, bathroom, additional shower room/WC and utility room - much of it recently refurbished - plus parking for two cars, Turnstones is perfect for families or small groups of friends. The cottage comfortably accommodates up to seven plus a baby.
Step outside and you are on the coastal path, making this an idyllic location for walkers, bird watchers and artists. A five minute walk takes you into Boscastle village, with its many shops, cafes and pubs. It is just 250 metres to Penally Point and some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in the UK. The beautiful beaches at Crackington Haven and Trebarwith Strand are a short drive away.

Wonderful property in a great location

Everything worked brilliantly on arrival and well worth the online shop to stock up for the break adding a few fresh bits from local stores. The property is clean, spacious and well equipped which made it homely and very quick and easy to relax. 30mb internet download speed very good on the few occasions needed. Location is superb and the secluded terrace is a treat in the late afternoon sun. Village was great with shops, pubs and all you need whilst a great base for lots of walks and longer trips in the car.
Hope to return to this property in this special location in the future. Thank you.
Best location in Boscastle!

Boscastle is such a special little village, so friendly and welcoming and the location of Turnstones cottage is simply amazing. Situated almost at the end of the harbour, one of the highlights was the secluded little terrace overlooking the water where we could watch all the comings and goings. We had an amazing week of beautiful weather and walked every day in every direction! The walking is great for the serious hiker but there are shorter walks for those just looking to get out for an hour or to take a spot on the rocks at the harbour mouth to watch the blowhole at low tide!
We arranged a supermarket delivery shortly after our arrival and then "topped up" with essentials at the local bakery and village stores, so hardly needed to venture out in the car. There are several good pubs and eating places, all of which offer excellent food, much of it locally sourced and delicious!
The cottage has everything you need and really feels like a home rather than a holiday let - a few passers-by said how lucky we were to live there and I must admit sometimes we didn't correct them!! It is tastefully decorated and the owners have retained lots of character with beautiful exposed beams and wooden floorboards. Although we had great weather and spent a lot of time outdoors I can imagine that the cottage would be extremely cosy in cooler months and would happily return at any time of the year.
Can't wait to return and would recommend to those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life - don't expect much mobile phone signal if any, but that was absolute bliss!!
