Bungalow in Widemouth Bay, Nr. Bude, North Cornwall, England - Safe, Quiet Position, 5 Minutes Walk To The Beach
Rockford is situated very close to Widemouth Bay, an excellent beach for surfing, rock-pooling and picnics, offering enjoyment to all age groups. The local coastal scenery is stunning with easy access to the North Cornwall footpath and the nearby town of Bude provides a wide range of shops and tourist facilities. The property comfortably sleeps 9 in 4 bedrooms and has 3 bathrooms, a relaxing lounge and a large kitchen/diner. The rear garden offers a safe area for children with a large patio providing open views across fields. There is an external shower unit at the rear. A garage provides room for storage of items like wet suits and beach gear. The front driveways can accommodate 3 parked vehicles and a small additional patio is good for catching late evening sunshine. White linen is provided in all bedrooms and there is heating available throughout the property. The road is quiet with minimal traffic and the property is very easy for young and old alike.

Description of sleeping capacity: Sleeps 9 (4 Bedrooms) Notes on bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with a standard double bed; Bedroom 2 with standard double bed with travel cot ; Bedroom 3 with a king size double bed which can be split into 2 twin beds with travel cot; Bedroom 4 with 2 single beds and an extra single pullout bed.

Notes on accommodation:
No smoking is permitted inside the property.
The heating is provided by night-storage heaters and is not usually required in summer.
Changeover day is SATURDAY but contact the owner if this is not your preference.

Pets are allowed as long as they are house-trained, well controlled and in date for flea control . No pets are allowed in bedrooms.
Children and elderly people have no difficulty in moving about the property.
Information about the services available in the property are forwarded to every tenant in advance of a holiday.

The front garden consists of a small lawn between a double and single driveway. The double drive is separated from a small patio by an ornamental wall and gate. There is an external tap on the single drive next to the garage.
The rear patio is large with an external heated shower for those returning from the beach, 2 patio tables and 9 chairs. There is a lawn bounded by wooden fencing and a field bank which provide security, privacy and shelter. The rear garden is very safe for children and has access to the kitchen/diner and to the hall adjacent to bedroom 2. There is a portable barbecue available. The rear garden is an excellent place for relaxing at all times but particularly if there are strong winds. The rear garden is sunny during the day and the front patio catches the evening sun.

Utility Room:
Small Utility Room housing vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. The Garage contains washing-machine and tumble-drier and a fridge-freezer. There is an additional sink and draining board in the garage with worktop and storage space.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen
Linen is included. Towels are included for house use but not for beach use. The property is always cleaned between holiday lets. Some cleaning materials are available if needed. Optional housekeeping available with extra charge. Cleaning company will follow any extra regulations (eg as for Covid) as required by Government.

A relaxing holiday

We had a fantastic and very relaxing two weeks at Rockford. Rockford was perfect for eight of us to be very comfortably accomodated. Large well equipped kitchen is ideal for a family meal and we enjoyed several barbecues in the lovely garden. Outdoor shower is great after a day on the beach, which is only a very short walk away. Highly recommend The Beach House - easy walking distance & lovely food and service. Also recommend The Bank tapas restaurant, which is a short drive away in Bude. Thank you to Richard the owner who was a pleasure to deal with.

We have just returned from our third stay at Rockford, we book every year as a family get together and have always had a great time even in the rain but this year during the heatwave it has been the best yet! Our ages range from 6 to 71 and Rockford is our happy place, enabling us to make fantastic memories for all of our family The accommodation is amazing and a great base, easy walkable to the dog friendly beach at Black Rock (the breakfasts at the cafe also brilliant) Beds are very comfortable and hubby and I love the fact we have an en suite - everyone else is banned from using it but that''s ok as there are two other full bathrooms for them. Four good sized bedrooms, a comfy lounge area, large kitchen, dining and seating area, washing machine, dishwasher, an enclosed garden and dog friendly - what else could you need? 100% recommend this wonderful holiday home and I have already booked for next year

Summer 2022 Holiday

We’ve just returned from a wonderful holiday in Widemouth Bay and had an amazing time. Our accommodation was simply fab. We had 3 families so the 3 bathrooms were just perfect. The bungalow was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The kitchen is big enough for all to sit in together. One of our crew had to work so used the internet daily which was really good. Everyone commented on how comfy the beds were - we all slept very well as it’s a very quiet area. The best thing was that it was a 5 minute walk down to the beach - the dogs, children and adults all had a wonderful time. The Beach house and the Bay View pubs were great for the super sunsets and food! Richard was great at sorting out anything we required. Thanks for a superb stay!
