Holly Bank House is a superb spacious family friendly self – catering property perched high on the hilltop of Darley Dale with amazing views across the beautiful Peak District. Fabulous for families and mixed groups of up to 10 adult guests and up to 14 with children.
When entering the property you are over whelmed by the sense of space as you are met by a light and airy entrance hall, leading off the hall there is large living area with plenty of comfy soft seating and a wonderful fireplace which houses a double sided log burner that can be enjoyed from both the lounge and the entrance hall.
The main focal point of the house is the fantastic large open plan kitchen and dining space. The kitchen is well equipped with two double ovens, a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, plenty of crockery, pots and pans and glassware and all the other items essential for making catering for a large group easy. The dining table can comfortable accommodate up to 14 guests and is the real social hub of the property. Leading off the dinning space there is a lovely conservatory with soft seating, a great spot to have a morning coffee and admire the amazing views over the surrounding countryside.
There are 5 beautiful presented bedrooms, all of the bedrooms have the flexibility of being made up as double or twin beds. One of the bedrooms is a family room, with additional bunk beds and there is also the option of having a sofa bed made up in the living room to offer flexibility in sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom has an ensuite and then the remaining bedrooms share two shower rooms and a luxurious family bathroom with a free standing bath and double shower.
The property's location is second to none, with two of Derbyshire’s finest stately homes, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall being less than a 10 minute drive away. In fact you can even taking a leisurely stroll along bridle and foot paths (approx. 3.5 miles) to the edge of the Chatsworth Estate and for the more energetic the house is a 5 mile walk from the property.
Holly Bank House is conveniently situated between the historic market town of Bakewell, known as the ‘heart’ of the Peak District and the pretty spa town of Matlock and Matlock Bath, making it a great base to explore the many wonders the Peak District has to offer.

These prices are a guideline only and we really encourage you to email with your group size and the type of event you are planning to enable us to send an up to date quote. We have a range of properties on our peak venues website so if this one is not available we may be able to offer a great alternative.
Our weekend prices in the busy season are for a 3 night stays from 3pm Friday to 10am Monday. We offer a set weekend price to give you the added flexibility of being able to relax and enjoy the property until as late as you like on the Sunday, even if you don't actually stay overnight till Monday morning.
Shorter mid week stays of 1 or 2 nights can be negotiated by arrangement. Payment can be made by card or BACS transfer.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept hen/stag parties or 30th birthday celebrations at this property.
