Godrevy View, one of the prestigious Fernhill Apartments, (NEW in 2010) is now a couples only apartment and the ultimate destination for a holiday or a romantic break. It also benefits from private parking and shared garden. Nestled in a lovely, peaceful, spot with wonderful views out to sea. It is only 2 minutes from the coastal path and 5 minutes from Carbis Bay beach. A 3 minute drive gets you to St Ives, renowned for it's wonderful array of beaches, galleries and shops including the Tate Gallery. There are many things to do and places of interest to visit.

Coast/Beach - There is a path from the back garden down to the St Ives to Carbis Bay coastal path. For the more adventurous it's only a 5 minute walk to Carbis Beach.

Living Area - The Living Room has a very comfortable leather sofa. 37" LCD wall mounted Freeview TV with DVD player/recorder. Wi-Fi is now standard as is twin USB chargers. The dining area has a solid wood table with luxury leather chairs.

Bedroom - The bedroom has a 5' Tempur luxury bed with large wardrobe and matching bedside cabinets and bedside reading lights. There is also a drawer unit. A wall mounted TV with built in DVD.

Bathroom - Fully tiled and spacious the bathroom boasts a ceramic floor with underfloor heating and tall heated towel rail. The large tiltable luxury rain shower also has a detachable jet. A large illuminated mirror has built in power for shavers and toothbrushes.

Kitchen - The superb rustic kitchen features a large Smeg Fridge/Freezer. Luxury items include combination microwave, fan oven with solar grill and dishwasher. Scales, lap trays, and filtered water tap complete the attention to detail.

Utility Area - The cupboard off the hall has a fitted washing machine with built in tumble dryer.

Garden - The apartment benefits from a private decked area with patio table and chairs for alfresco dining or just unwinding with a glass of wine and enjoying the stunning view. There is also a shared garden available which has paths down to the beach and costal paths.

Cleaning/Towels - Towels and bedlinen are all provided (just need to bring flannels). The apartment is thoroughly cleaned every Saturday and guests have commented it looked 'sparkling' on arrival! The sheets and linen are also changed on this day.

Accessability - The Apartment is on the ground floor and your car can be parked immediately outside the apartment to unload and then moved to the dedicated space a few yards away.

Booking Notes - No booking fee. £100 deposit against damage/breakages is required. This will be returned in full, normally within 14 days of vacation of property, assuming no loss or damage has been incurred. One third deposit is required with booking with balance payable 8 weeks prior to occupation. St Ives Holiday Direct reserve the right to refuse any booking.

Changover Day - Arrival on Saturday any time after 2pm, departure by 10am the following Saturday. Changeover is flexible during off peak periods-please see pricing grid for more information.

Local area:
Carbis Bay Beach - A 1.5km cresent of golden sand. Carbis Bay is a mile or so to the east of St Ives and a resort in its own right. Lifeguards patrol this beach during the summer and, with usually calm sea conditions and a sheltered aspect, Carbis Bay beach offers very safe bathing indeed. Ideal for windsurfing and water-skiing.

Further Details - The National Trust has many fine houses and gardens in the region. There are quaint villages such as Mousehole and the beautiful Port Issacs (made famous by the ITV programme Doc Martin) to visit. Kynance Cove, The Lizard Point and Sennon Cove offer coastal walks with breathtaking views. A visit to The Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth museum are a must!The superb

Golf - Tregena Castle course is under a mile (4 mins) from our front door and is open all the year round to non-residents and has a great 19th hole in the Castle Bar & Brasserie. Working in partnership with other golf courses in Cornwall, Tregenna Castle is the perfect destination for your golfing short break.

The putting green is situated near the main hotel entrance and offers good quality greens for all to improve their putting techniques. Equipment can be hired from the golf shop.

The West Cornwall Golf Club is 1.7 miles away (5 mins). Although not quite measuring 6000 yards the testing quality of West Cornwall lies in the fact that it has no mercy on a bad or timid shot. Invariably played in anything from a light breeze to a force 9 the course has many defences, but attack it and you should then be able to enjoy the 19th hole.

For those that just want some fun, try the Penwith Pitch & Putt, Chenhalls Road, St. Erth, Hayle, 3.9 miles from the apartment (9 mins).

What an amazing holiday home. The owner thought of every little detail. The accommodation has a well stocked kitchen with everything you will need, from pots and pans, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer. A true home from home. Very clean and comfortable. The icing on the cake was the fabulous view that greets you every day from the lounge, spectacular, You can easily waste time watching the boats on the ocean. The beach is only a 5/10 minute walk down a path. I felt very relaxed here and was very sad when my holiday came to an end as I wanted to stay here forever. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back in the future

Winter 2018 Review

Snowy Times at Godrevy View!
I was arranging to meet a friend who lives in Pendeen during my second stay in Mike and Tina’s beautiful apartment near St Ives when she mentioned the weather forecast and suggested it might be a problem. “No chance”, I responded robustly. “It hardly ever snows here, and even if it does it won’t stick!”

Of course I had to eat those words as near-blizzard conditions swept over Cornwall and Devon on 28th February. My scepticism hadn’t prevented me from stocking up on food: “Just in case”, I told myself. The previous evening had been beautiful and I had hung around the apartment’s balcony windows hoping to get a good photo of Carbis Bay, wonderfully romantic in twilight.

I had planned to walk St Michael’s Way – the northermost part of the well-known “Camino”, the path runs from Lelant to Marazion, but before even reaching the halfway point could actually smell the snow and see the clouds coming in. Not before climbing up to Knill’s Monument with its fabulous views, however. Wanting to finish the walk gives me an excellent excuse for another trip soon!

A quick trip for supplies and I made it back to the apartment before the snow arrived and by early afternoon was snuggled down on the lovely reclining sofa, catching up on reading and movie-watching, although it was hard to stop gazing out of the window as the spectacular view disappeared behind a near-blizzard.

I often stay in holiday cottages and apartments and can honestly say that there are many in which a freezing and snowy week in late winter would have been a nightmare, but Godrevy View’s underfloor heating kept me warm and comfortable, the luxury kitchen – there is even a filtered water tap! - ensured I was happily fed and watered and the mattress in the cosy bedroom remains as much to die for as I remembered from my first visit. If I had run out of books and movies the excellent WiFi would have kept me entertained but to be honest I spent as much time gazing out at the magical snowy view as reading, particularly when the snow stopped in the evening and the outlook was more spectacular than ever.

I thoroughly enjoyed the next day, lazing around with the perfect excuse to do very little, and can honestly say that I had a great rest in luxurious comfort. The fittings in the apartment are of very good quality and little things like well-fitting doors and draught-free windows are really noticeable in poor weather conditions. Given all of this, and one of the best views in Cornwall, I’ll never let the weather forecast put me off a visit!

We have stayed in the apartment numerous times and just re-booked. The apartment is in a lovely spot fantastic view and we have taken some great pictures of the sunrise from the lounge window. It is always clean on arrival with a nice welcome pack from Mike and Tina. Arriving back to godrevy view after a day out is so welcoming and cosy particularly when we have stayed out of season. Booking the apartment with Mike is stress free as he is so organised with every detail you will need for a great holiday. We always receive a text or call from him on arrival to check everything is ok. 5 stars from us.

The quality of the apartment and everything in it is outstanding. The view from the lounge is wonderful and so relaxing whatever time of the day or evening. You want for nothing with regard to what the owners have provided. The apartment is one of nine and is very private and quiet with a dedicated parking space. Communication with owners was excellent throughout. Definitely a place we would return to.
