Description

NOW AVAILABLE FOR SUMMER 2024

Felindre Mill is set in 7 acres of meadow and woodland, with a gentle stream running through it. It’s a perfect location to relax and enjoy a peaceful retreat in the middle of beautiful Welsh countryside.

Ideal for families; slightly older children can explore the grounds, whilst parents can enjoy the luxuriously furnished house and gentle walks. A hot tub located in an all-day suntrap is the perfect place to look out over the house and fields whilst the sun sets.

When the weather turns colder, a lounge and sitting room both have woodburners to cosy up to with a good book, or to even watch SkySports!

We have furnished, equipped and finished to a high standard.

No smoking permitted please.

We suggest that the property is not suitable for families with toddlers who may wander off independently. There is a drop along the side of the house to the stream and we’d like to avoid any accidents. We are located in the middle of fields which hold livestock, so fences may have barbed wire. We have a wonderful setting for families, where children can play freely with lots of space and adventures to be had. But it is the country, so things may be sharp or uneven and insects may bite!

Felindre Mill is located 1 mile from Llanfynydd and 2 miles from Capel Isaac. Basically, it’s in the middle of nowhere. In this tranquil setting, the noise is from the stream, the birds, and the sheep. You are more likely to see a tractor than a car. You may see Red Kites or Buzzards soaring above or spot an owl in the trees. Rush hour is when the farmers return from their day in the fields.

For grocery shopping, craft shops and restaurants, Llandeilo is just 6 miles away or 12 miles to Carmarthen with shops and superstores.

Carmarthenshire is popular with road and mountain bike cyclists. Brechfa Forest, with cycle trails for all levels is just 15 minutes or so away.

There are stunning castles, including Dryslwyn and Carreg Cennen between 15 and 25 minutes away. The Abbey and Nature Reserve lakes at Talley, are also around 20-25 minutes. Walkers will be spoilt for choice, staying local or heading for the Black Mountains or the rugged Welsh coast.

But the reason that we love Felindre Mill is for the peace and quiet, without compromising on a beautiful location and a high standard of accommodation.

Our central location provides easy access to the Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire, the Ceredigion Coastline and even the Gower Peninsular, with Tenby, New Quay, Brecon and The Mumbles, all within an hour’s drive.

With spectacular scenery, stunning coastlines and a rich heritage, there is so much to do without venturing further afield. However, Cardiff is less than an hour and a half away if you felt the need for a bustling metropolis with top-end shops, international standard restaurants, and top-class sport.
