Our home is the perfect holiday retreat, the minute you open the gates to the property you feel yourself relax. The gardens surround the property on all sides and provide total privacy from the outside world yet you are no more than 3 minutes from a shop and a restaurant.
This bright and sunny detached villa is built on the site of an historic mill in a tranquil location right by the river Tech yet close to the region's many attractions. With cream tiled floors, open beams and freshly decorated throughout, the villa offers spacious accommodation for up to 11 people. It has a private entrance and driveway. The house is extremely comfortable and very well thought out.
There are 5 good size bedrooms, all designed to a very high specification. Each room has its own bathroom. Four have en-suite shower rooms with large head power showers. There are oversized fluffy bath towels available. The beds are extremely comfortable with lovely crisply ironed white linen. We provide plump feather pillows. Every effort has been made to make the rooms feel comfortable and welcoming.
In this region a lot of life is lived outside. There is somewhere to sit all day long to make the most of the sun, or to find shade. Breakfast can be taken on the large balcony overlooking the river. Lunch is perfect in the shaded aboriium in the garden. Around the pools there are wooden recliners to soak up the sun. The large ceramic tiled pool is a particular highlight, its sough facing position provides sun from morning through to night.
The beautiful charming town of Ceret with its artistic heritage and spectacular Saturday market is just 5 minutes away. There are cafes on every corner, restaurants in every square; there is frequent music and dancing in the streets. There are plenty of local walks at whatever your level of effort, they offer wonderful views across the valley to the Mediterranean or up to the Canigou Mountains.
The villa is 10 minutes from the Spanish border, 30 minutes from the Mediterranean (Collioure, Argeles, Banyuls etc.) and 90 minutes from Barcelona. Skiing in winter is 90 minutes away. The region offers endless cultural and recreational facilities and the sun shines nearly every day of the year. Fly to Perpignan (35 minutes away), Girona(45)or Barcelona(90).
Great Place For A Holiday
By Julie on 27-Jul-2017
A great place for a holiday with fantastic links to everywhere. Easy access to the South of France, Northern Spain and Andorra if you can face the drive. A lovely villa with something for everyone - a great pool and wonderful access to a fantastic river. We took 3 generations and there was loads of space for all to do their own thing, relax and have fun.
Wonderful Family Friendly Home

We had a wonderful stay in this family-friendly home. We enjoyed the pool, great access to the river in very peaceful, green surroundings. Stephen, the owner, had arranged for flowers, and a much appreciated 'casse -croute' consisting of a baguette, cheese and wine to be made at our disposal when we arrived. Un grand merci! The team looking after the house were friendly and helpful Great location to explore Ceret, Collioure and the Pic du Canigou in the Pyrenees
We Had The Most Amazing Special Month
By Helen Watney on 11-Aug-2016
We had the most amazing, special month and your home was absolutely perfect, we all felt very at home there. We had many a game of soccer, cricket, table tennis and boule. I felt like something out of an Enid Blyton Famous Five book with some of the adventure we had with the children down at the river. Every single person who came to take care of the house whilst we were there was absolutely charming and I hope we didn’t create too much work for Flore.
A Fabulous Two Weeks
By Anonymous on 24-Jul-2016
Ten of us of three generations (including four children, aged 8 to 12) spent a wonderful fortnight at this villa. The property was exactly as described, with loads of space and extremely well equipped. The booking process was very smooth and all the people who looked after the villa-the housekeeper/cleaners, gardener and pool cleaner were great. The area was excellent for the kids-with the beach at Argeles, the nearby swimming lake and a harbour-side dinner in Collioure being particular highlights. If we had a gripe, it would have had been great to have access to at least the garden of the the villa slightly earlier-the flight to Perpignan gets in VERY early- and the walk to Ceret was rather longer than advertised, at least with the kids!
Thank you so much for the review. We are always delighted to hear that our guests are happy with our house, and all that it offers.
We fully appreciate the difficulty of not being able to obtain access to the house until 3.30 p.m, particularly, when you have an exceptionally early landing time. It really does take our team all of the time that they have to prepare the house to the high standards we expect after the previous guests have left that morning.
Thank you again.

Everything A Family Wants For An Enjoyable Holiday.
By John S on 01-Aug-2015
This villa has everything a family would want for a most enjoyable holiday. It is extremely well equipped in a superb location,we particularly enjoyed the wide variety of outdoor sitting and eating areas all based around a central pool area. We were a party of 9 with 3 generations ranging from 5 to 75 and all enjoyed themselves immensely. The accommodation was clean and well maintained and everything was explained on arrival by a most pleasant housekeeper. A bonus was a good supermarket within a short walk, ideal for fresh bread each morning and everything you would need for the rest of the day. A short drive to the coast although our younger members much preferred the superb pool. Definitely one to go back to.
Four Couples At The Beautiful Villa In Ceret
By The Mount Family on 11-Oct-2014
Our group of friends loved the villa and found it to be exactly as described in the listing. It is beautifully maintained and was very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen, several sunny places outdoors to enjoy meals, comfortable bedrooms, and excellent advice and help whenever needed by the owner. We loved exploring Ceret and surrounding villages, especially Collioure. We found great restaurants in Ceret, such as Le Chat Qui Rit, in walking distance of the villa, Le Bisbe and its terrasse, Can Jordi, and Le Quattrocentro, a great pizza place. The art museum is a must with works by many famous painters who lived at times in Ceret. It has Picassos, Dufys, Chagalls and more. The Catalan history of the area is so interesting, and we learned more about that in our explorations. We recommend this property very highly to friends and anyone who is looking for a delightful place for a vacation home.
All That We Hoped For And More
By Richard on 22-Jul-2014
We had a lovely, relaxing holiday - thoroughly enjoyable. The description on the website was accurate and informative. Booking was straightforward, and the information sent was comprehensive, covering all we needed to know. The property itself was as described, with every detail covered, well equipped, spacious, clean and comfortable, with a friendly welcome on arrival. The pool is a delight, well tended and warm! There is plenty of space surrounding it, with ample outside furniture. The pretty gardens are well cared for with space for outdoor games for the energetic. There are various different places to sit and to eat, depending on the time of day, which we loved. A balcony overlooks the valley at tree top height, a perfect place for breakfast, listening to the gentle sound of the river below, and for bird / red squirrel watching. The position is quiet, yet very convenient for the town of Ceret which is delightful and bustling. The surrounding area has plenty of interest to offer, with some beautiful scenery.
