Nestled among picturesque gardens and less than a minutes walk to the local beach, The Old Stables was originally built in 1884, but has recently undergone extensive renovation and now provides stylish holiday accommodation for up to 9 guests. With a calming colour pallet by Farrow & Ball, a mix of eclectic furnishings and mod-cons that include a hot tub, underfloor heating and wifi, The Old Stables is a great base for exploring North Wales.

The heart of the home is the large open plan lounge kitchen diner. The kitchen, which originally housed the horse drawn coaches, is well equipped with a dishwasher, American fridge freezer and high quality pots, pans and utensils. The four ovens and central island are bound to satisfy budding chefs, whilst the dinning table, which seats 10, is ideal for those special family meals or enjoying local fish & chips. A separate utility room provides clothes washing and drying facilities, a must after a visit to the beach or a trek up Mount Snowdon.

The lounge retains many original features including exposed pitch pine beams and vaulted ceiling. Enjoy cosy nights in front of the wood burning fire whilst curling up on one of the leather chesterfield sofas. The 50” smart TV with home cinema system, makes for great movie nights, we even provide the pop corn. The private courtyard garden and hot tub can be accessed via the French doors which lead out to the patio with seating and BBQ area.

A second lounge, which was once the stable block, is bound to be a hit with adults and children, with a pool table, games including Jenga, Connect Four, Articulate and puzzles. Or you could just pick up a book from the collection provided and relax on the chaise lounge.

To aid a good nights sleep, our beds feature hotel quality pocket sprung mattresses hand made in the UK. We only use hypo-allergenic duvets and pillows and of course, bed linen and towels are provided. The two king beds can be configured as twins at your request. A triple room is equipped with adult bunks and a single bed. The ground floor double bedroom, with en suite facilities is ideal for guests who don’t want to climb stairs and can accommodate a wheelchair, upon request.

The family bathroom and two en-suite wetrooms (one on the ground floor) come with Grohe thermostatic rain showers, heated towel rails and under floor heating.

A real delight is the private courtyard garden, ideal for BBQs or relaxing in the hot tub whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings which include mature cedar, pine, redwood and walnut trees. The garden and its surroundings are a haven for wildlife with squirrels, an array of birds including robins, blackbirds, sparrows and wag tails. You may be lucky enough to spot the odd herring in summer months.

This place is amazing

By Wayne on 15-Sep-2017

This place is amazing. Such a lovely big house and the hot tub just tops it all off nicely. We stayed here for a few days. It was a great base to explore North Wales. Recommend going to Llandudno and Conwy and if you've got young children try Greenwood Forest Park its great.

Wonderful cottage in Wales!

By Jen on 30-Aug-2017

Wonderful cottage in Wales! Perfect for our stay, not over looked, short walk to beach / local shop / pub etc. Yousef was a brilliant host, meeting us there on arrival & giving us an amazing welcome with lots of information. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Yousef replied to emails straight away & is very welcoming & helpful. We will defiantly be back. Thanks Yousef for allowing us to stay in your cottage for the weekend. See you soon! :)

Wow we had such a wonderful stay at Yousef's place in Colwyn north Wales. The old stables is just perfection, it's modern, yet sympathetic to that cost cottage feel. The hot tub is amazing it's 42 degrees!! You can use it anytime of year and you'll be in it for hours! There's a pool table and board games and it's touches like that, that show just how thoughtful
The owner has been when offering up his property for holiday rentals. He left leaflets of nearby attractions and takeaway menus, and for those that love to cook, he's got a barbecue available and a FULLY equipped beautiful modern kitchen. We went to Wales to explore, and yes we climbed snowdon - But other than that we didn't leave the house because we were so happy and relaxed there we didn't want to! A log burner, Tv and sound system and really high quality bedding are just other plus's that spring to mind. I simply couldn't fault it. Thanks Yousef!

Well positioned to explore North Wales

By Chris on 27-Jul-2017

The accommodation was clean and tidy and provided all the necessary equipment to manage our 1 and 3 year olds. The location was excellent, being only a short walk to the beach, local Co-op or take always. It is also very well positioned to explore the all of north Wales. The Hot Tub is an amazing addition which gives a wonderful opportunity to relax and recoup after a day of sightseeing.

Yousef was a great host, he welcomes us on arrival with a basket of treats. The house is beautiful and really spacious and the hot tub worked perfectly. It's really close to the beach and easy to get to Snowdonia for walks. Would definitely stay again as a group of friends or family.

A Beautiful Place

By Haroona on 25-Jun-2017

Beautiful place. The cottage is welcoming and has all the mod cons. My children loved the hot tub. Located so close to a lovely beach and has beautiful serene surroundings - listen out for the woodpecker, and find the carved owl in the large trees nearby.
