Lovely cottage in a great location. Very close to the beach. Loads of great walks from Dunwich. Next door to the (Website hidden by Airbnb) noise at all. We had a great time and would love to return. Thanks Julian and Sally

A Lovely Place to Stay.
By Nigel on 09-Sep-2018
Ship House is a beautifully clean, tastefully decorated and well-equipped cottage in a fine location. Its unusual top floor room offers panoramic views to the sea and over to Southwold. It feels like a place that is really cherished by its owners. Next door (literally) the Ship Hotel offers good meals - but in the evening anywhere else to eat out requires using a car. However, the cottage's kitchen is completely fitted out for cooking at home. A lovely place to stay.

Superb location in a beautiful place, offering excellent amenities, beach, woods, heathland, walking, pub next door serving food, tea room at end of road. The house is exceptionally clean, equipped to above standard, with bath, shower, wi-fi, washing machine and dishwasher. From the top floor bedroom/ sitting room the view is outstanding. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend for families and couples alike.

We had a great stay

We had a great stay in Ship House. The location is fantastic with views across the reedbed and a short walk to the sea. We heard bittern and nightingale from the house, and the pub next door serves a fine pint of Adnams. The house is very clean with stylish decoration. Guests should know that you need to go thru one bedroom to get another, and those over 6 foot tall will not be able to stand up straight in the top bedroom. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return in the future

Being so near to the beach was Lovely
By Holly on 14-Feb-2018
Had a lovely weekend in the cottage, will definitely come back if we're in the area. Loved the pub next door delicious food and being so near to the beach was lovely. Everything with house was as described and photos seem an accurate representation of the place. We did the inn to inn walk (details on ship Inn website) would recommend as a nice easy circular walk. FYI no nearby shops as mentioned by owners so make sure you do stock up.

A cosy, peaceful House.

A cosy, peaceful house in a wonderful beach / village location full of wildlife and amazing history. The wood burning stove works well and storage heating keeps the whole house really warm. A very well equipped kitchen and high quality sheets and beds. The shower works well and we had hot water easily enough for 4 including baths! A nearby farm shop stocked all the food and logs we needed for a really relaxing stay
