A Very Comfortable And Well-appointed Barn Conversion, In A Wonderful Setting
By Oliver N on 25-Oct-2017
The Garden Barn was lovely, and we spent a very happy weekend there. The whole place has been finished to a very high standard, and had a very welcoming and friendly feel. The location near the Ashdown Forest was perfect for walking - and for exploring the real-life locations of A.A. Milne's 'Winnie-the-Pooh' stories. The only (very) slight negative was the restrictive size of the shower/toilet room; I'm very tall (6'7"), and I struggled with getting in and out of the room, and found it a little claustrophobic while in there! Otherwise, the barn was a truly excellent place to spend a weekend, and we plan to recommend it highly to friends or family.Response

A Delightful Barn Conversion
By Sara W on 19-Sep-2017
What a fabulous find. A lovely barn conversion in the heart of Sussex. Very well appointed with some lovely extras (coffee, tea, green tea, foil, eggs, marmite, jam, etc etc.). Tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The shower room is small so if you are very tall or on the larger side you may find this slightly too compact. But for us it was perfect. The hosts were very welcoming. Our only regret is that we didn't have longer to enjoy the cottage and the gardens as we were on a flying visit to a wedding and to see friends. We would definitely stay here again.

Well Located Delightful Barn Cottage, Set Within Lovely Gardens.
By Neil Garnett on 13-Sep-2017
Returning to East Sussex to visit some old family friends for a long weekend, this was a perfect base to stay. It's a small cottage but very well kitted out and extremely comfortable - perfect for the two of us. The gardens surrounding the cottage are lovely and the owners of the main house - Helen and Andy - allow visitors to use/share them. The cottage is well located for visiting the various local attractions and for walking on Ashdown, and there is a great dining pub within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the owners were friendly and helpful and we would certainly recommend it.Response

What a gem of a place to stay. Everything that you need for a break away from a busy life. Beautiful small barn conversion. We stayed here for a family wedding at near-by Nyman gardens so this place was conveniently located. So much better than staying in an airport hotel. Highly recommend this place. Andy and Helen very friendly and thank you for the recommendations for pubs/ restaurants.Response

Perfect Country Getaway
By Daniel O on 03-Jun-2017
The barn is lovely and even better than the photos! It is spotlessly clean, has all the utilities you need such as dishwasher, washing machine, cooking utensils etc. Stayed here with my fiancée for a holiday in Sussex and it is a great central location between the south coast and more inland places. There is a pub 5 minutes walk from the barn (up the hill to your left) called the coach and horses which serves great gourmet pub grub. Would definitely recommend to couples and will most likely be returning in the future!Response
