The house is very lovely and clean

By Suporn on 30-Sep-2016

The house is very lovely and clean. There is Co-Op supermarket not far from the house (around 3 minutes walk). We can also reach train to city by walking distance (around 5-8 minutes walk). It is a very good place for relaxing and also for business. The surrounding area is safe and also with nice environment. There is a one parking space in front of the house so it is very convenient for family travelling with kids and adult. A very recommended place to stay while travelling in Epsom and/ or nearby area.

Fantastic family base

By Katie on 22-Aug-2016

We stayed here with our two young children and in-laws and it was the perfect base for exploring London or further afield. The house is well equipped and within close reach of supermarkets, restaurants and takeaways. Would highly recommend.

Totally Top Shelf!

By Tsquared54 Virginia on 24-Jul-2016

Our family needed a convenient location to our friends in Epsom where we could relax, cook our own meals and experience suburban London (almost like a local!). We found it for ten lovely days at Sunnybank House. Even though this was our seventh trip to the UK we had never booked an actual self-catering property, so naturally we were a little concerned about the process. No worries. The owner was very easy to work with and effortlessly accommodated several changes to our length of stay. Communication with the owner was excellent and the property was absolutely immaculate; and at check in we were greeted with a welcome basket of wine, bread, eggs, butter and milk. What a great way to start our trip. The rental rate was very reasonable (for our party of six) compared to hotels and B&Bs. The house is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay: a spacious sitting room with flat screen TV, dreamy beds, a roomy well-equipped kitchen and a beautiful back patio and garden. If you rent a car there is parking in front of the garage and in the garage is a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board (bring fewer clothes!). The location is superb. Turn left out of the cul-de-sac and we were a 20 minute walk to our friends in Epsom. Turn right and walk the distance of an American Football field to the Ewell West train station where in about an hour you can be in central London. On the same street there is a row of shops with a Cooperative (think top-end Mini-Mart), newsagent, druggist and various takeaway restaurants. Walk the same road past the train station and in about 15 minutes you will be in the charming village of Ewell (which actually pre-dates Epsom by a few years). Be sure to visit the Spring Tavern for a drink or delicious dinner and take time to walk around the town. Although Epsom and Ewell are administratively one borough, Ewell is the quieter of the two and you will find some hidden gems there. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and would go back there "in a heart beat."

Felt Just Like Being Home

By Jason on 23-Jul-2016

Loved our stay at this property. There was a nice welcome pack of snacks and wine when we arrived and the place was very clean and tidy. We reported a couple of minor issues when we first arrived and these were rectified immediately by Martin. Our stay was hassle free. I would highly recommend staying at this property and we will be back to stay next year.

Everything about this place was perfect

Perfect location....walking distance to grocery store and train to London. The place was very clean and the owners were quick to respond to any questions we had. We strongly recommend staying here!

Excellent and close to London

By Helen on 07-Jul-2016

It was an excellent place in Ewell. All the conveniences of home. Martin brought us more towels as we are a scraggly bunch. The train ride to and from London was relaxing -- about 20 minutes. There were several restaurants in the village with excellent food (if you got back in time). I would definitely recommend this residence.

Beautiful, well equipped and quiet home close to London

By Sonjahel, The Netherlands on 31-May-2016

Spacious, well maintained and clean house, like an oasis after a day in busy London. Train connection to London Victoria is easy and comfortable. A small supermarket, which has everything you need though on a short stay, restaurants and take aways are across the street. Lovely garden!

Excellent base

By Mr Ant on 08-Mar-2016

Sunnybank House was a great base to spend a few days exploring London, particularly if you have a car. We travelled to Hampton Court (20 mins by car) and Windsor (45 minutes by car) and you can be at Waterloo Station in 30 minutes from the local station which is literally 2 or 3 minutes walk from the house. The house itself is very well equipped, comfortable and warm. The beds are also very comfortable which is a rarity in many rental properties! The owner was great to deal with and we will would certainly book again next time we visit

Fabulous House to rent near London

By John Cuff on 05-Nov-2015

Highly recommended!!! We stayed here during October Half-term in 2013 and 2015 (it was booked unfortunately in 2014) and used this house as a base for visits to London (30mins by train after 5min walk to the station), Chessington (15mins by car), Thorpe Park (45 mins by car) and Legoland (60mins by car). This house is as lovely as it looks and the small extra touches of a welcome food basket containing milk, butter, bread, coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits and eggs was really helpful. There is a shop opposite for anything extra you need and plenty of local take-outs. The house is modern and has everything you will need. It's well maintained and very clean. The communication from the owners is excellent. I would happily book this house again with no qualms and would highly recommend it to everyone.

A great place to stay !

By Lenise on 31-Aug-2015

A great place to stay! Exceptionally clean, great size for a family, friendly and responsive hosts, short walk to train station for direct service (30min) to London (Waterloo). Everything you need for a very comfortable stay, including some food and drinks on arrival. I highly recommend Martin's beautiful house. Everything was perfect.
